The way he built city and the luxury of players he’s go to buy and then move off if it doesn’t work out is big. Man City maybe not so much this season but before literally had two starting premier league squads. There bench players could literally get you top 4. Rotation was so deep because of the money. Perfect for a league context if coaches had that luxury that are his elite level Klopp, Ancelotti etc they would of dominated the leagues the way he did. The fact he has not won a CL in all these years with those ridiculous teams speaks volumes. He’s not the complete manager like people make him out to he. Man City definitely won't be as good once Pep leaves. They may still compete and win but they won't be as dominant. Good teams usually owe the majority of their success to their managers. City, Liverpool and Chelsea wouldn't be where they are without Pep, Klopp and Tuchel because honestly all professionals are incredible footballers but the thing that makes teams good is organisation, a plan and everyone knowing their job. That comes down firstly to the manager implementing said plan and then it's up to the players to carry it out. City fans better enjoy this period for as long as it lasts because replacing a manager like Pep will be very difficult if not impossible (see United).

I just want to point some things out to those small section of Liverpool fans that believed in their heart that Klopp is a better manager than Pep. Your point is always that Pep can not do what Klopp did at Liverpool and Dortmund. Let me start by saying Klopp is a great guy and also good at what he does. But to compare him to Pep is like comparing Tuchel to Mourinho or Arsene Wenger. Pep started with Barcelona B team that has just relegated to third tier of football with players like Busquet, Tiago, tello, Raphinha (Thiago's brother) and that same year he got them promoted to 2nd tier playing beautiful football and scoring goals. It was this eye catching football that Laporte (the then president) saw that made him abandoned his plan to sign Mourinho who has been interviewed for the job and his assignment was to resurrect Barca first team who were in crisis then. They have not won the league in 2-3years and they are having issues on and off the pitch which was showing the danger ahead. The way Barca B team played and won most games scoring loads of goals was what trigger Joan Laporte to pull the trigger and go for Pep instead of Mourinho. Nobody at that time thought it was a right decision except Joan Laporte only in Barcelona and Spain. There were talks already that Xavi will be sold, Millan along other clubs are already lobbying for Messi who was just raw talent then (so also his Rashford/Mbappe)and Iniesta too likely to go but instead he sold Ronaldinho and Deco due to their lifestyle then promoted about seven players from the academy Barca B team which include Busquet, Pedro, Thiago etc into first team. Also bought back Pique who couldn't even make match day squad at Manchester United in most cases to replace Marquez and so on. He didn't win his first two games and he was beaten by Hercules or so. Then the team got the grip of what he wanted from them and boom... the club won all six trophies. He didn't have it easy as many of you always claimed but he was a genius to make it look easy. And for some of you that believed that it was messi, infact messi was luck to have him at the time. Messi could have ended up like Newmar, Mbappe or Rashford (these are all good players at their early stages) but what made messi grow and achieved so much was Pep in the early stages of his career. So tell me what Klopp has done that u think this Pep has not done, but many things Pep has invented into football that Klopp even had to copy it to have success.

OMG you got it, man. Finally someone with a common sense when it comes to discussing Pep's achievements. The laziest argument I have ever heard is if he is so good, why doesn't he go manage a mid table club or something. Really, a guy who started his managerial career with Barca and excelled there is just going to go to Aston Villa? It's like an account director (Barca B coach) who did so well at a Fortune 500 company (Barca) that he got promoted to the C-Suite (manager of Barca B) of that company. Now, you want him to manage your local bank (a mid table team) that has no resources to grow into a global powerhouse. Of course, he is going to join another powerhouse (teams like Bayern, City) that has the resources to grow and that is going to pay him what he is worth.

If you have players whom are good at doing their job, remaining disciplined and willing to cover your teammate as a last resort and confident you will become very dangerous under Pep's guidance. Pep don't deal well with players with huge egos with highly individualistic mentalities because they cherish looking good above the overall effectiveness of the team. This could be in terms of a lack of tracking back, covering and making teammates work harder than they need to.

I really respect his opinion on the World cup. I think all the managers who complain have a really European-centric mentality; spoiled, self centered and think their way is the best. The World cup in Qatar has a lot of controversy, but it's similar to the corruption involved in other World cup bids. It's good that the World cup is being played in a different part of the World such as Qatar.

@@BakangPrivv how is Qatar messed up more than any other country who hosted? So because they're not a 'football city' they shouldn't host? They can't build the infrastructure to host? Come on man

Biggest quality I learned from Pep is NOT to complain about circumstances all the time
Interviewer : " Are you concerned about winter world cup".
PEP : "Not a bit. Control what you can control "
