Like Kane said in interview, Jose wanted his team to have that winning Mentality on and off the pitch..but they didn't had a leader to inject that sort of mentality...Jose really made Kane and Son reach a new level
TBH, Kane was already consistently at that level without Jose if you look at his stats earlier. 2018/19 was his worst year as he had multiple injuries during that season. In fact, Kane was probably at his peak from 2016/17 to 2017/18. His goal scored in 2017/18 of 48 was reaching the level of what CR7 and Messi, getting almost a goal per match.
2020/21 Match played: 58, Goals: 33, Assist: 18, Goal+Assist per match 0.88
2019/20 Match played: 42, Goals: 36, Assist: 7, Goal+Assist per match 1.02
2018/19 Match played: 49, Goals: 26, Assist: 8, Goal+Assist per match 0.69
2017/18 Match played: 56, Goals: 48, Assist: 4, Goal+Assist per match 0.92
2016/17 Match played: 42, Goals: 38, Assist: 7, Goal+Assist per match 1.07
Don't forget about Ndombele.

@@gilbertosampaio3771 Jose shouldn't mange teams like Bayern, Real and United. There's too much politics involved, players get favored over managers and its not enough to be winning. You need to win in style.

@@Blood0cean exactly
Eric Dier is not epl caliber player.
mourinho rule is: give me the players I want, and I will lead the club to trophies.
Now the problem is MU, Tottenham didn't hear what mourinho wanted, they just bought players for business purposes.
You may have heard the story of Mou at Chelsea, When he was at Chelsea he was once asked by Abramovich which striker Chelsea needed?, Then Mou answered "Drogba", then Abramovich asked again "who is he? Where is he playing?" (Because at that time Drogba was not a famous player), then Mou replied "You just pay and don't talk much".
And see How Drogba is at Chelsea, At that time he was bought from Marseille for only 24 million pounds. At least not more than the price of Maguire or Sancho when they were bought by MU.
Loucas Moura really wanted that day off
Hes had a lot of days off since that CL match vs Ajax
Jose speech is inspiring and learned a lot from him
Both are geniuses in their own ways. They have a lot of tactical knowledge, but their charisma and their way of adressing the group is what makes their players want to sprint those extra kilometers. I would probably try and do my best not for the team but for José... U can see the hard work and passion in his eyes... His team lets him down... He is always brutally honest to make winners... when u r in this kind of a business that's wat u need... Not a buddy buddy guy...
Pep is good... most definitely a tactical genius but he overthinks his tactics in crucial games... Pep has only done and won it at Big teams... FC Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City... I mean those teams u expect them to win.
José however has Done it at Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Chelsea again, Manchester United... At UTD it's weird and I find the fans such stubborn fools to not respect wat he had achieved in his time there... He won them their last 3 trophies and the next a second place finish to a record breaking City side... And they bloody celebrate a second place finish in the Prem and Europa under Ole... JUST DIE! Their rivalry in 2010/11 was brilliant in La Liga. José goes beyond being a manager. He is a good human too and takes care of his players. While Pep is no doubt a great manager, Zlatan said that he is not a good human being.
Don't you think Zlatan would be a bit biased against Pep though. Also he's not much of a great guy himself
@@banjoguy9000 yes he might be biased. Pep is a top quality manager, no doubt about it. He's won titles both domestic and European. But Jose is better in player management, he understands the player and gives lot of consideration to their thoughts. Pep is more demanding coach and apparently treats players as machines to score goals. Ex : Eto'o, Zlatan, Dante, Yaya Toure
@@nkzamrud1965 I don't think either of them put the players' feelings into consideration ahead of the collective success of the team.
Jose had no problem booting talents like Mata for simply being unwilling to completely change their style of play to fit his strategy. He also butted heads with certain United players over his decision to completely swap their position and responsability.
Pep too was more than willing to part ways with people like Toure, Hart and Eto'o (all legends at their club) because they wouldn't fit into his plans.
At the end of the day how good they are as people is really mostly speculation. For what we know they could both be total assholes, or both be extremely kind people, or most likely something in between.

Jose team talk such inspiring, the best 👍
Pep is more intense and seems more passionate from a tactical side than Jose, but Jose is more direct and inspirational from a human side.
It's like a crazy but genius mathematician vs a War General
But I think it's also got to do with the fact that Pep's team are doing great and Spurs players under Jose weren't even doing the basics right at times. Which is why he can talk to them about the tactical side and what could be done better. Jose on the other hand is pissed off because it's not about "what can be done better" with his team but "what can not be done better".
So, "time is of the essence", who would beat the other in war? a mathematician or a general?
Mourinho is the best manager ever at motivating his teams.
I am so happy Arteta took lots of notes at Man C, developed his growth mindset, followed Pep like a wolf, improved his presentation skills and implemented everything to the Tee at Arsenal. That's called a good and willing student...Awesome!

Sir Bobby Robson said that in the 90s when he was barca manager and mourinho was his assistant. Jose would give the team talks to the team because Bobby did not speak Spanish. So mourinho was motivating and screaming at the likes of Guardiola Ronaldo and Kluvert
Everything is a stretch especially that they have such different methods of playing. One is completely result orientated while other not only wants results but wants it by playing a certain way. Anyway it is quite interesting to think that the rivalry we saw were once close friends.

Especially English players are weak mentally imo.
That's so true, they start getting complacent because their mentality is "I'm getting paid so much anyways why bother". His coaching style works great on players willing to listen and put in the effort and is poor with the players that aren't invested or willing to apply his advice.

Two different but equally brilliant managers.
After seeing this it's like being in the dressing room with pep is depressing and players will leave after 2-3 season. And Jose is so chill with everything and players may want to stay forever.
But the reality is so different. I think in the end it comes to the professionalism of the players. A player motivated to become world-class will pay close attention to pep and learn more from him. And Jose knew he was dealing with snowflakes in spurs so changed his personality to suit the players but still went kaboom.
i remember jose at real madrid and he too was pretty harsh there. you've got to be harsh sometimes at this level if you really want to succeed. there is definitely a reason why pep wins so much. if his management methods were bad, nobody would want him.
Pep always take it as a life and dead situation, very motivated. And Mou was alwas calm and sharp. Felt the vibes as if Pep was ally officer and Mou was Axis officer. 😁
