    i’m using the t-mobile unlimited 3g hotspot to download a game on my computer right now and i’m getting about 70 kbps. this seems ridiculously low for being “3g”

    I'm streaming this video using the unlimited 3G hotspot from my phone at 480p to test and it's working fine. Loading someweb pages is a lot slower than normal, but it's still functional.

      You are right, totally usable 3G hotspot, 480p is DVD quality, totally get the job done acceptable quality =) Thanks so much for sharing.✌️

    3G great for Spotify or Apple music streaming here in New Zealand 3 G speed average 1.5 Megabytes a second

    It’s really bad, I have essentials plan and I’m a college student. Can’t do anything on my computer, a simple task like opening google docs takes like 15 minutes to load. I can’t even join zoom meetings

      Thanks for sharing your experience. 1st make sure your own data speed is fast in hour area, otherwise your share internet will be just as bad.
      Netshare app is not compatible with all apps such as Netflix, WhatsApp etc. Need to play with it to see what works or not before committing.
      Once again thanks for sharing your experience ✌️

    Whoa, you're getting 240kbps? I'm getting 120 at best and it can't even play at 144p without loading times every few seconds. I've tested it in various locations with various devices. The only thing I haven't tried is swapping the hotspot.

    • @ProTecStation
      @ProTecStation  Před rokem +1

      I usually get at least 240kbps or near 300kbps, I used to have a old T-Mobile plan that includes unlimited 3G speeds, but same like yours 128kbps at best mostly slower.
      Then I switched to ATT for a couple years then came back to T-Mobile during 2020 and the 2020 T-Mobile plan I was able to achieve the so call near 600Kps for the 1st time.
      Strange but big difference compare to the old plan.
      How old was your current plan?

      @@ProTecStation yeah, the LTE stuff is plenty fast. I didn't measure it though.

    • @ProTecStation
      @ProTecStation  Před rokem +2

      Bro if you are getting fast data speed, I have an alternative way to unlock your full LTE speed to share to your other devices.
      Please note, this solution may not work with all your apps, but I've tested and works for streaming CZcams, Netflix, email, web browsing.
      Will not work for WhatsApp , online gaming and some apps.
      It's free, and don't pay for the paid version, the free is just as good.
      I made a full video of it, let me know if you are able to benefit your LTE speeds ✌️

    I have an unlimited 3G hotspot on T Mobile. I usually connect at 240 or 360 video speed I was lucky to keep my One Plus International plan on my other phone which includes 40 GB of high speed hotspot for $25. It usually connects anywhere between 15-25 mbs I am 5 miles from a tower. They get me by out here in the country where there is nothing else But I know ole Joe is going to fix that now that they have a boatload of infrastructure money. What is going to happen to our 3g hotspots when they shut the 3G down this year?? Will they become 4G hotspots with better speed?

    • @ProTecStation
      @ProTecStation  Před 2 lety

      My guess, they will probably give you a 4G hotspot, and they might throttle you down the 3G speed. Just my personal guess not sure.🤞

    • @geoffreydowdle5751
      @geoffreydowdle5751 Před rokem

      @@geoffreydowdle5751 it is good when you have no other internet options. it will do CZcams and general internet and email. I think T Mobile is the only carrier that offers free 3G hotspots. All the others I have seen is 2G or reverts to 2G when you use up any high speed you have. and it is pretty unusable.

      @@greasezert2228 that might have been true but I know Verizon now offers the 600 kbps as well. I think they might have given me the wrong speed then because my 3g isn't able to do what you describe
