Very nice. Not only does this give unlimited internet its super fast . Im running multiple devices and pcs just from the phone lol. Throttling be damned. Do yourself a favor download this if you have metro and you're tired of slow internet that runs out . Just make sure like the man said your on unlimited data plan. Really saved me for navigation as I always get lost and can now share my phones unlimited data with my car. No rooting. Bought both version of unlock. Great questions, for sure I am not a legal advisor. I can not guarantee anything, They have this app in the Google Play Store free for download.
If Google allows this app to be free download no need to root or jailbreak, I don't see why it's illegal.
The app is not using hotspot technology, it's using "wifi direct" technology.
For sure if you walk straight to your wireless carrier and let them know you have this app, I'm sure they will not be happy about it. đ

and it works. just remember to use the proxy server given in the instructions if you are connecting a laptop. make the changes in the control panel and any application as needed.

the issue with the proxy server is that it may disable your ability to access apps such as Steam or more advanced sorts of data like being in a voice call or playing an online game.
as of right now, there are no ways around this. At least you get some access to the internet, but things such as being in a voice call or online games is outright impossible.

It's so weird. This is working for Discord, but won't let me go to websites on Chrome. Even basic websites, like Google. It says "DNS address could not be found".
Edit: I think I fixed this by going to "Settings" in Google Chrome, "Advanced", "System", "Open your computer's proxy settings", clicking "Edit" next to "Use a proxy server" and unchecking "Don't use the proxy server for local (intranet) addresses" at the bottom. I have Windows 11.

I am so confused how can hotspot work, if the hotspot toggle is turned off?? You never said to turn it on, and if i turn it on, DIRECT-NS doesn't show up, instead I get my normal SSID

What you failed to mention is that you need WiFi , to set this up . That's the whole point of downloading this app , to not use WiFi , but your mobile hotspot as a WIFI source for your other devices . If you need WiFi to set this up , you might as well connect your other devices to WiFi .

1st of all you need is "mobile data" not wifi.
Use your mobile data to download the app,
Then setup the app, once you done so, your mobile phone will share it's data in a form of "wifi hotspot"
Sorry for the confusion, but if you can wrap your head between "mobile data" and "wifi" then things will start to make sense.
Once again, this app will convert your mobile data to share to your other devices such as Tablet or laptop etc in the form of "Wifi Hotspot"

BTW, you can set this up in a forest or desert as long there are mobile data coverage, such as people living at RV camping etc, just need to have mobile data and you will be able to setup to share Most of the device .
The new app version may ask you to turn ON WIFI, just turn on Wifi, and it will use your mobile data convert it to Wifi Hotspot to share to "most other devices"
This app is not 100% perfect as I mentioned on my video, but as long the stuff works, then it's all good. âïž
You might of downloaded the wrong Netshare app I made that mistake

Does this work for playstations? with bargin carriers like cricket or mint? I was able to get it to work without it for while but somthings changed... Now i need somthing like this...
Didn't try it on PlayStation, so I am not sure if it will work or not. Should work for bargain carriers because Netshare app uses Wifi Direct technology to share the data.
If you are currently using any of those bargain carriers, download the app and try it =) Don't pay extra for paid version, as free version is just as good.

I even bought the upgrade version where the icon is the antenna button. They both don't work, why? They spin around after connecting. Do you need to upgrade your build version? I just update my phone. It's a Samsung galaxy s10+ with the late update from Samsung last week

Same, the setup worked, was able to sign into the Hotspot on other devices. My ISP still detected the data though.

I'm using the Android version 14 and the only thing that it will do is obtain the IP address on the device that I'm wanting to connect to as well as the internet connection but it fails for the NAT type, connection speed download, and, the connection speed upload

you need an unlimited data plan? you mean unlimited talk and text? i have an unlimited talk and text plus 8 gigs data per month phone plan, and am connecting a laptop. it does work. the screen on my phone does need to remain on. what is the data limit for the free version?
Free version is unlimited, but since you have 8 gigs data per month, you can only share 8 gigs of data to other devices, that's why in the beginning of the video I mentioned, you need to have unlimited data to share to other devices so you can have a worry free experience while sharing. âïž

The PRO VERSION has nothing to do with your 8 gigs plan, and will not increase your 8 gigs to unlimited,
Just use the free version is just fine, I've been using it for the pass few years, every month around 80 gigs for my usage because I have unlimited data on my plan. âïž

The only way I've been able to keep it working is to disconnect and reconnect on Netshare. Not a big issue considering I'm getting free hotspot. Thanks for the video.
Most likely the frequent disconnecting is due to Android battery management cuts power from Netshare app in the background.
Try go to Android settings, go to optimize, and grant full battery permission for the Netshare app, so it can keep draw power without cutting off power. đ€
Everything is working ok for awhile but now my wifi keeps jumping around from DNS-Hotspot to other wifi connections that's when I start having trouble with Netflix, Google, etc. Can you think of anything I haven't done right.
Try to forget the network it tries to jump to, that way it should stop jumping to the previous auto login networks đ€

What is the difference between the integrated Hotspot and the Netshare?
Currently my method is enable integrated phone hotspot function. Use Every Proxy to set a proxy. Connect like you did in this video.
I would like to know which one consume more battery. Can you make a comparison between the two?
Just double checking is Integrated hotspot the built in hotspot that came with your phone?
If so.
Integrated hotspot for sure is better, because most application will accept integrated hotspot such as "Netflix and Gaming etc"
The draw back of integrated hotspot, most people don't have unlimited and need to pay for additional fee. Some cap at high speed data 3GB - 40GB, afterwards will be throttle.
Netshare app, uses your unlimited data and convert to Wifi Direct to connect to other devices.
The Cons for Netshare app, is compatibility and stability issues, such as will not work for "Netflix and some games and consoles"
Both Netshare app and Integrated Hotspot should use about the same amount of battery.

As for my internet
Im using an OpenVPN (free internet trick) to access internet on one of my phone. So 1 of the phones doesnt have issue of data cap.
Downside is, being a VPN trick, when I Proxy and hotspot the connection to my other devices, some application cant be accessed, for example Whatsapp, Telegram and some game etc. I fixed some of the issue using "College Proxy" but Whatsapp call and certain game (Genshin) cant be accessed even with Proxy.
Proxy on top of Proxy seems redundant but thats the best solution I have atm. You have a way to fix this?

As long you have unlimites mobile data then your data share will be unlimited.
If your unlimited data reach to certain threshold and throttle then will apply for the Netshare app as well.
My T-Mobile after 40GB will throttle my speed , but I'm still getting 60mbps - 80mbps totally usable.
Please NOTE: No need to pay extra for PAID VERISON of NETSHARE.
The free version is just perfectly fine, and free version also is just unlimited.
One time few months ago, I use the FREE VERISON and download + upload over 900 GB worth of data and still working totally fine.

By default will make you turn on your Wifi because it's using Wifi Direct technology to share your data to other devices.
If you turn on wifi and it connects your home wifi internet, try to forget the wifi setting, that way it will utilize your mobile data to share to other devices.

Z FOLD 3 (ANDROID) - AT&T BASIC UNLIMITED DATA PLAN - Thank you, this worked! I connected it to my gaming laptop HP OMEN 17. (Ask me in the future if I tested gaming latency/ping, the area I live in has terrible cellular data signal 1 bar. Sometimes I'll get 2 bars which allows 720P CZcams videos.) Otherwise everything works as intructed by the content creator and the "help" option in-app. APP FREE VERSION.

@ProTecStation I was reading the reviews on the app store, and apparently, people who purchased the paid version were highly disappointed and wish they hadn't upgraded from the free version. I still need to test "gaming capabilities," although I already have a pretty good idea since I've used LTE Hotspot for gaming before and was able to play with 70-100PING, which is the average ping for most people. I'll likely use this free hotspot method for when I go back out on the road as an OTR driver.

From most of my viewers, they don't have much luck using netshare for gaming.
For sure there are PROS and CONS with this NetShare app, for general web browsing and watch CZcams is great, but may not work with Gaming, + massaging app such as WhatsApp or so.. just need to play with the compatibility to see what works or not. Good luck and have fun checking it out âïž
Is this 100% unlimited? Iâm trying to use this to play games and stream on the road. Also, would this use up all of your phone carrierâs data before it actually taps into the hotspot data that you set up?
To share unlimited data to your other devices you need to have unlimited data 1st.
Once you have successfully setup sharing, general web browsing and watch stream CZcams should be no problem, please not it may not work with online gaming and so other streaming apps.
It will just use your carrier's data not your hotspot data cap.

The app has been approved by Google play store for people to download and use, so it must be compliant to Google's terms and condition.
I'm sure if you ask your local wireless provider that you are using this app to by pass paying hotspot, i'm sure they will not be happy about it =)
For myself I've been using this app for over 2 year and so far so good on my side.
3rd, no one need to spend more money on this app, because this app is free. There is a paid version, but to me Free version is good enough as long you have unlimited data plan.
And lastly, Just make sure you have unlimited data, so you won't end up paying for data overage charges.

I tried updating halo master collection on my Xbox X and it was 133 gigabytes. It ate up all my data in 40 minutes! Only got 4% of the way done...needed a solution

1st of all, paying $8 will not solve your gaming issues, don't do it. I use the free version and it's the same.
The gaming problem I think because it doesn't like the Proxy which nothing much you can do.
For sure the app is not perfect, but in general, general stuff works, except for some games and some apps like Netflix and stuff.
Also doesn't work for Chrome Cast.
And that is the CONS of this app.

@@ProTecStation Metro. Yes the hotspot was off. But it hard capped at 15 and it used the Mobil hotspot data.
What happens for your plan If you go over 15GB? Do you get charge extra? Or slow down?

Thanks for the break down, I was pretty shock to see METRO PCS also didn't work beside Boost Mobile. If one day I head to a metro PCS store, I'll play with it with the NetShare app. In theory it should work without turning on Hotspot.

Ciao 0;). Has anyone figured out how to connect a fire tv yet ? I am able to dl the app using the 'Downloader' app on fire tv. However I can't seem to get my android & tv to connect. I tried WPS & direct hotspot. I do pay for a generous amount of hotspot , yet it runs out fast .

If SmartTV can log in wifi with the manual Proxy 192.168.49.1 and port 8282 then it should work.
If your smart TV wifi doesn't have option to put manual proxy then will not work.
For example my Tesla Model S wifi doesn't have option to put manual proxy, so i couldn't make it to work.

This is general idea of Sony TV other brands maybe different, but follow similar approach may bring you the option , give it a try.

I noticed someone else mentioned the same thing. And it is requiring WiFi for some reason, it pops up the wifi setting. Which is odd.
In order to share your data to other devices, you need to turn on wifi on your main device.
This netshare app will share your mobile data to other devices.

1st of all , I suggest try the connection on a tablet or so to see if the netshare app works or not. If works on different device, Make sure your smart TV does have option for proxy and port setting.
Not all wifi apps will work, as for example, netshare will not work with Netflix.

App is free, don't pay for the paid version, free version is just fine.

You are absolutely correct. The app will default tap on your default wifi to share internet.
So for you, there will be 1 more step to do.
In order to not use your local ISP wifi internet and you want to use your mobile data instead. You need to go to your existing wifi and Forget it.
Once you forget your local wifi, the app will tap on your data connection instead. So you can utilize LTE or 5G speeds.

This is for using your data plan to share your data via hotspot, so you don't need to sign up for home internet. Sorry if that's too confusing for you to understand the term Hotspot.

Ive sort of run into an issue while trying to connect to my tablet, it has this option saying "Bypass proxy for" and wont let me connect, though i have no idea what to put there.
Skip the bypass proxy
Look for proxy host name then type 192.168.49.1
Look for Port type 8282

Every time I try to enable hotspot the app wants me to enable wifi communication my wifi is currently out of service is the entire reason I am learning to use this app so how do I bypass this?
Unfortunately The app utilize Wifi Direct technology which is wifi. So there are no other way around for Netshare app.
But since your wifi is not working, we can utilize Bluetooth from this app call, Secure Tether Bluetooth

Depending if your carrier will throttle to data prioritization or 2G speeds,
If data prioritization then you can still use it, but just slower during congested hours.

My video was intent for free hotspot sharing from your data so you can share to laptop or tablets etc.
This video is not about free internet anywhere you go with no data fees.
For your situation, if you travel a lot, best to buy local prepaid data plan, then use Netshare app to share to all your other devices.âïž

Should work for Verizon S10, don't get your hopes on PS5, as they may not like the proxy setting from netshare app. đ€

Why not just connect to wifi if you're phone is already connected?
If you already have wifi, and don't mind to pay extra for it, then this Netshare app is not for you. This is for those that don't want to pay extra for home wifi, or don't want to pay extra for mobile hotspotâïž

Great questions, congrats for able to successfully get it to work.
About the slow connection speed could have a few factors.
1st of all from your main phone device, are you able to run a speed test? And is your data speed quick?
For Fire Stick to have a healthy connection, your phone needs to be able to have download speed at least 6mbps or above for hd video streaming.
If your phone is having slow connection speed, most likely your area reception and data is congested.
Make sure your phone plan has good reception area also not on a data plan with data prioritization.
Also try to find a sweet spot for reception, but not too far from your connecting device such as fire stick.
See what you got, and go from there. âïž

I wa successful in making this work for my windows computer, and I noticed something while checking the Data Usage. From your video you mentioned that as long as you have an unlimited data plan, that I could use this for unlimited wifi without data being used? Maybe I am mistaking how it works, but from one night of keeping it on overnight it used almost 4 gb of data. Basically when I reach the "unlimited" limit of 100 gb in a plan cycle, I will be throttled down rendering this app useless as ive noticed performance drops before. Does this mean that this is not free or unlimited? đ€ đ
