    *********************************************
    In this video you'll discover the nootropic benefits of Alpha Lipoic Acid. Including why we use Alpha Lipoic Acid as a nootropic, the difference between Alpha Lipoic Acid, S-Lipoic Acid and R-Lipoic Acid. Alpha Lipoic Acid recommended dosage, side effects and clinical research.
    Alpha Lipoic Acid is a sulfur-containing fatty acid naturally found in your body. Lipoic acid is unique among other antioxidants because it is both water- and fat-soluble.
    As a nootropic, Alpha Lipoic Acid has a powerful ability to neutralize the damaging effects of oxidative stress. Studies show lipoic acid even reducing brain damage after a stroke.
    Alpha Lipoic Acid boosts the production of acetylcholine. And even increases glucose uptake in brain cells. Providing you with a boost of mental energy.
    Alpha Lipoic Acid regenerates other depleted antioxidants (Vitamins C & E, glutathione), and recycles CoQ10. Reducing inflammation, and getting rid of heavy metals. Boosting cellular energy and memory.
    Alpha-Lipoic Acid is a promising weapon in the fight against neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.
    A recent study showed that lipoic acid may help slow down the progression of Alzheimer’s Disease. An area where no known cure has been produced by the big pharmaceutical companies.
    This in-depth Alpha Lipoic Acid review covers:
    00:00 Alpha Lipoic Acid intro
    00:47 Alpha Lipoic Acid as a nootropic

    I am surprised there is no mention of peripheral neuropathy. I have been taking this for years now for my idiopathic neuropathy along with L-Carnitine. I cant afford to take as much as I would like but it does help whereas nothing else has. I can tell the difference if I ever run out. I pay more for the R-lipoic stabilized version.

    Should we also take sunflower lecithin in order to provide us with acetyl choline?

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  Před rokem +3

      R-Lipoic Acid increases acetylcholine production by activation of choline acetyltransferase and increases glucose uptake. This process supplies more Acetyl-CoA for the production of acetylcholine.
      The only other things you need to make acetylcholine are choline molecules in your brain by using either CDP-Choline or Alpha GPC along with Vitamins B1 & B5.
      I do NOT recommend lecithin because you do not know how much choline you'll get from it or whether it will even cross the blood-brain barrier. Better to use the above.

    Thank you for this video. I have a couple of questions. Question 1: I see some brands offering 600mg of ALA. Assuming it's a 50/50 blend of R and S, is it worthwhile getting a blend or is it better to stick with just the R form? Question 2: I recently came across DL-ALA, which claims to be more stable. Is this a good option and would this also be a 50/50 blend or something entirely different? I'm hoping to treat Alzheimer's. Thank you.
