In this video you'll discover the nootropics benefits of Turmeric (Curcumin). Including why we use Turmeric as a nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects, clinical research, and what type of Turmeric to buy. This is an update to the video I made on Turmeric several years ago.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is one of the most studied herbs in Ayurvedic, Siddha, Unani and Chinese healing. Turmeric has remarkable nootropic properties. And stands far above many modern medicines used to treat neurodegenerative diseases like depression, Alzheimer’s and stroke.
Turmeric’s main active component Curcumin provides protection against Alzheimer’s, major depression, epilepsy, and other neurodegenerative disorders. Scientists believe that much of this protective action comes from curcumin’s anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
Turmeric (Curcumin) boosts BDNF. And scientists found that curcumin increased serotonin and dopamine levels in the brain. And inhibited monoamine oxidase enzymes (both MAO-A and MAO-B) just like popular prescription antidepressant MAOI’s. Curcumin even enhanced the effectiveness of popular SSRI antidepressants.
Turmeric (95% Curcuminoids) 750 mg with 20 mg Piperine 3-times per day for the rest of your life is the single best way I know of to avoid Alzheimer's Disease.
Neurohackers report supplementing with Turmeric reduces pain. And supplementing with Curcumin improves attention, working memory, and mood. And is reported to relieve the symptoms of migraine headaches.
This in-depth updated Turmeric (Curcumin) review covers:

Can i use choline bitartrate with noopept?
You could but you'd need to use a lot more.
How much do I take if I have it in liquid form?
I've never seen it in liquid form. You'll need to ask the manufacturer this question.
What is the recommended niacin dosage?
14:41 Niacin recommended dosage
Is there a video of what alternative medicines to take for depression that don't affect warfarin?
It is highly unlikely you'll find a video on warfarin and nootropic supplements. Think about this for a minute. If someone started doing comparisons for each drug and how it interacted with each supplement they'd die before they were finished. And die broke. Warfarin is an anticoagulant. So, the only supplements where you should use caution is anything that promotes better blood flow. Because that combo could result in bleeding.
palmitoylethanolamide - PEA also?
They are both referred to as "PEA". Confusing.
I would like to boost energy for the day, you recommend l tyrosine or mucuna better?
Neither one of those supplements are known for boosting energy. You need the supplements in this video for energy: czcams.com/video/SgFvACYdsuk/video.html
Does it works with people with ADHD??
Daniel, people with ADHD can use it. But it'll not help the symptoms of ADHD. For that you need the supplements in this video: pulse.ly/a1cdwu4e2w
Kinda weird how my noootrpic stack evolved over time moslty due to your yt vids, Morning, Sulbutiamine - B1, only on work days as you can become dependant Magnesium L-Threonate Lionsmane 2000mg (concentrate with black pepper - definetly not for everyone!), has 30% Polysaccharide Ginko biloba with siberisch ginseng (Eleuthero) NAC Vitamine C (delayed uptake) L-Theanine Ashwganda Creatine Omega 3 Afternoon Sulbutiamine - B1 Magnesium L-Threonate Lionsmane 300mg, has 30% Polysaccharide NAC L-Theanine Ashwganda Creatine Omega 3 Evening Taurine Vitamine D Glycine Malic acid Niacin Omage 3-6-9 (i also use Methelyne Blue in between from an mouth spray bottle) Had an car accident and hit my head hard, had to quit my job at the time. And short version, my docter couldnt help but thanks to all this i got my brain in better shape then it ever used to be. Now i do recognize i might be overdoing it somewhat, but you know im back to work at a different company and.. feeling healthy is just awsome. Just the fact that everything is much easyer to comprehend and i can concentrate better etc etc means im cured of whatever has ailed me and thats just fantastic! Thanks again for this bundle of information! These vids hit all the facets i want to know about when getting to know my next potential nootropic.
Thank you. And you are NOT using "too many" supplements. If it works for you then you are taking exactly what you need to be taking. Your life is all the proof you need.
How do I invest? Do u do cash app?
Go to this link: pulse.ly/seydwzrzkr You'll find out what kinds of payment they take once you get there.
WOW AMAZING benefits!!
Thanks for sharing 👍🫡
So can i take it and it's safe in recommended dosages and only 2/3 times per week?
Tried noopept after some 10 yrs. Last time, i wasn't using the right dosage, so it was ineffective. Now, it seems to work. Music feels very lucid. I used vodka alcohol as solvent, so each drop is like 2.5 mg. Just 4-10 drops along with my other favorites like aniracetam, piracetam, and alpha gpc.
I got this stuff growing in my front yard. Can I us it as a tea?
Jimmy, Berberine is an alkaloid extracted from plants such as Indian Barberry (tree turmeric), Oregon Grape and goldenseal. If it's one of those plants made into a tea you will not get the same benefit as you would from a Berberine supplement extracted from those plants.
I discovered similar problem. Difficult to read fast mentally. Whenever I took flaxeed oil capsules, it improved my think. I can read without much effort and can understand quickly.
Dr, u said taking taurine affects Bipolar people. Cud they take the minimum dose? If so, wats the dose? Thks
Tony, I said "High taurine dosage should be avoided if you are dealing with bipolar disorder because it could make your symptoms worse." Some studies show those with bipolar are deficient in Taurine. So a dose of 500 mg - 1,000 mg may help. But if it makes it worse for you then reduce the dose.
Ok , now how many drops is 45mg’s
It depends on the strength of the solution. Some will take 90 drops to reach 45 mg. Some more or less depending on the strength. The manufacturer should include this on their FAQ page.
If taurine has all of these wonderful benefits, why do physicians not recommend it Is it simply because they wish to keep us coming in because of the money factor or are there other reasons perhaps
Ask your doctor how many 'hours' they were taught any type of nutrition information during their years of medical school. It is typically 2 - 3 hours out of 7 - 8 years of study. Chances are your doctor knows nothing about Taurine or any other nootropic supplement. You would be shocked how many doctors, nurses, chiropractors, etc. are on my list. And how many psychiatrists refer their patients to me for a consultation.
Can i take it for adhd sleep issues.
This is so informative!! Thank you!!
Can I replace it with Normotim? I have an allergy for coffee
Jenny, this video is about Turmeric and Curcumin. Not lithium ascorbate or coffee.
David, you are my favorite youtuber! My family is plagued with Dementia! It's genetics going back to my great grandmother on my dad's side. All of my dad siblings (9) had Dementia. My mother's side had her dad and 2 brothers....By the way, both of my parents are deep in Dementia right now. Needless to say, I am shaking in my boots! You mentioned in the description box that Tumeric 95 mg was the best to take. My question is which brand to you recommend i take considering my circumstances.....I am a 60 year old female with decent health. Please respond quickly. Thank you so much!
This is the one I use: geni.us/Zw6K0Oc (Amazon)
What's another truth? - in the 1000s of years used, I'm sure in Ancient China they didn't have McDonald's and other SAD foods. Taking Tumeric now - could it really help if diet is still poor? And with the increased mental stressors?
Robert, the only way to find out if it will help you is to try it 3-times per day for a month.
Great video!
Thanks!
thank you
You're welcome
Do you have any plans on covering deer antler spray? Thanks.
No
Great info as usual, 😊 but was looking for more about this particular root. Edit I was saying *I was looking for more info Spell check changed it to "but", and changed the whole sentence.. 😑
The entire video was about either the root or the extract of same root.
Can I give it to my cat? He was the last of the pack, now 17 YO and I use other supplements to heal his brain, he is very sensitive for small sounds for a few years now, even had an epileptic seizure, because of it. Thank you in advance.
You will need to ask your vet. Not sure that giving it to a 17 year old cat will help.
Good day, I got an unopened bottle of Vinpocetine, by Source Naturals, expiry date 4/22. Can I still use it, please?
I suggest contacting Source Naturals and asking them what the shelf life is of their supplement. I personally would not chance it. Not necessary when you can get it from Life Extension for a very reasonable price.
Took my Himalayan Turmeric this morning then saw this video thank you!
Iv chosen CurcuRouge. What do you think about CurcuRouge extract?
Not familiar with that brand.
@NootropicsExpert if you ever get an understanding on its formation please let me know what you think. From my understanding CurcuRouge is the most bio formulation of curcumin
A lot of manufacturers make that claim. The only proven way to increase bioavailability of Turmeric of Curcumin is by adding 10 - 20 mg of Piperine to it when you take it.

Best times of day to take vinpocetine? Does it interfere with sleep?
It should not interrupt sleep. But Vinpocetine is dosed 10 mg 3-times per day. Morning, noon and later in the afternoon.
When should astaxanthin be taken? Does it benefit sleep?
