In this video you'll discover the nootropics benefits of Vitamin B8 (Inositol). Including why we use Inositol as a nootropic, recommended dosage, side effects, clinical research, and the best type of Inositol to buy. This is an update to the video I made on Inositol several years ago.
Inositol is a sugar alcohol and isomer of glucose. As a nootropic, inositol is involved in brain cell signaling, and is a component of cell membranes.
Inositol is used in your brain as a “secondary messenger”. It facilitates communication between brain cells. All of your major neurotransmitters need inositol to relay messages.
Inositol helps boost serotonin and dopamine receptor density. Improving the effectiveness of serotonin, GABA, glutamate and dopamine neurotransmitters in your brain.
Inositol is often used along with popular antidepressant medications improving their effectiveness. Or sometimes even replacing SSRI’s in the treatment of depression, anxiety, panic attacks and OCD.
Some neurohackers feel that supplementing with inositol is the best anti-depressant they’ve every used. The real beauty of inositol is you can safely combine it with the current antidepressant (i.e. SSRI) medication you currently take. Your antidepressant meds may work better!
Inositol is a proven remedy for treating the symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). And inositol is an effective method of taming panic attacks.

Inositol was literally a life changer for me. It helps with hashimotos symptoms such as anxiety and high blood sugar. I only take 500mg in the morning and sometimes 1g before going to bed if i cant sleep. Crazy good, brand i use is wholestory with dchiro 50g and myoinositol 500
Great! I didn’t know Inositol has nootropic value. I ‘ve been taking it to help not binge. After a year, I can tell that I’m seeing improvement still, getting better and better.
Thanks for all you do to help people. I watch a lot of your videos, but haven't commented. Yours are always beneficial and packed with great information. Greatly appreciated.
Thank you. Much appreciated.
This is massively helpful content.
Thank you
Passionating. I took out the inositol powder from the closet. Will add it to the already very large (but only small amounts) non stim pre-workout (to which I add 1mg Sunifiram since I begun doing it every day (6months))
Thank you.
Wow, great information here.

How long do we have to be on it? For anxiety, panic attack, depression and negative thoughts symptoms. Need to take it forever? Or can be taken for certain amount of time to adjust our brain not to have these symptoms? Love this channel btw thank you for eveything
You will only get the benefit of Inositol on the days you use it as a supplement.
I have to say myo-insitol did wonders to calm down a full forearm of poison ivy .
On another note I have been perscribed an antidepressant for pppd cvm , any links for this topic of what can be naturally beneficial.
Inositol has been shown to boost the effectiveness of antidepressants.
Do you recommend inositol injections? If so-would that be best for someone with digestive issues-25-100mg/mL SQ or IM injection, thanks
I am not an expert on injecting the B-Vitamins so cannot provide advice on whether it would benefit you or not. I think you'll find taking it orally will be just as effective because it is for most who try it.
David do you think it would be prudent to supplement inositol when taking lithium orotate at say a 5 or 10 mg dosage?
They are not contraindicated so should not be a problem.
I see my slow absorb niacin from NOW comes with it but wonder why 🤔 also thyroid mutlis come with it..
Go back and listen to the section called "Vitamin B8 (Inositol) Benefits".
Ugh. You had me till the Low
T thing.
How to heal from benzo damage?
Time. And you may want to do a consultation with me because I have a list of supplements that may help with benzo withdrawal.
Does it need to be taken on empty stomach?
Doesn't matter how you take it because if you take enough of it it will get into your system.
What do you think about IP6?
IP6 is not digestible by people; in fact, it will chelate minerals in your gut, inhibiting their absorption. Only ruminant animals, such as cattle and sheep, that produce the enzyme phytase, are able to digest IP6.
How do I know if I am Inositol deficient? Or opposite? 🤔
Go back and listen from 05:36.
