Ashley, I listened to a man named Joe who worked at a radio station. He interviewed Patsy Anderson. She tells a story about one time Priscilla was being interviewed in the jungle room and one of the lights got so hot it blew. Some how it caught the jungle room on fire. They had to replace some of the carpeting and I believe she said some of the furniture too. Maybe that's why we never see the pillows anymore. I would assume they had to replace or fix some of the furniture too. You may have already heard about this story. I just thought I'd share that with you. Thank you again Ashley for sharing another great video. Loved it !!

I love it when you find new things for us to look at in Graceland Ashley! That photo in the kitchen is so cool, who knew there was a gun cabinet there at the steps. I love seeing what the mansion look like before the different remodels. I think the music room looks so beautiful with the sun streaming in and I love how the pool area looked back then over what it looks like now. Cool story with Grace Toof too, so interesting! Everything from Grace to Elvis and the mansion is interesting. And only you find these things Ashley, you are totally amazing and such a great researcher!

Ashley, my Brother and his Wife went to Graceland 10/05/23 and they were down stairs in the Pool room and took some Photos and on one of the leather single chairs is a furry cushion I really think it’s the cushions you were talking about from an 1980 Photo keep on with your great content, I also hope and pray 🙏 that you’re health is much better God Bless You and Yours 🕊& ❤️

Fantastic! There's so much Elvis minutiae that can be studied. For example, I collect wristwatches and I love cars, so I'm fascinated by what he owned and gave away of both. But for some reason, Graceland itself is less researched and documented than I would have thought. I still wonder where all the other structures were on the property, e.g. the trailer Billy Smith lived in. Anyway, thanks for a great video on one of my favorite Elvis topics!

Never tire of seeing these great videos that you do Ashley. I was wondering what graceland have done with all the carpets that they have changed? Kept them in storage? It would be a dream to go to the archives and see what is in storage. sometime in the 80;s a dear friend of mine managed to get a piece of the red carpet that was there when Elvis was alive. Looking forward to many many more awesome videos.

Even though I’ve been to Graceland in the 1990’s, some pictures through the years I had trouble grasping exactly where it was taken. There’s a family who re created Graceland mansion to within 6 inches of original specs including upstairs, which then clarified some areas for me. Awesome video Ashley!your videos are the main go to for myself to get a real grasp of the home in the greatest of details as well as the grounds. Thank you!

Ashley, have you done a video on Graceland Church ? I would love to see pictures of the inside before EPE turned it into their offices. And... whats hanging on the wall going up the steps? Is there anything hanging there now?
I've never seen photos on the inside of the church prior, only outside. I wonder if they're out there. If you mean the kitchen staircase, hard to see in the new photo but today theres a floral painting. Thanks for watching!

Was the picture of the unknown lady taken when Graceland was up for sale? The sign says “Graceland Auction” which might give a clue. Maybe Elvis was in the process of viewing the home or had just agreed to purchase it. The lady could have worked for the real estate/auction firm or have even been a neighbor stopping by. Wonder if anyone can help identity her? Elvis would have gotten rid of the unsecured gun cabinet in the kitchen with his parents in the house especially when he was living with them there. Anyone could break into the home and shoot or hold up any of the family members. It’s odd for that to be in the kitchen anyway! This video is so very informative! Thanks for posting!

Have you ever noticed in older pictures of the Jungle Room just north of the cutout window on the wall near the floor there looks like an access panel or an area of the paneling that has been cutout and replaced. In newer photos I don't see any remnant of it. Wondered if paneling was replaced.

In the 1963 photos of Priscilla in the dining room and in the foyer on the telephone, doesn’t it seem that she is wearing the same dress ( and hair looks exactly the same) as when she is posing with her new graduation present ( Car)?

Yes! A bunch of the 1963 photos were taken on the same day, inside the house and out. The one on the porch with her dog, too!
I wonder if Billy or Jo Smith could help identify the lady in the photo? Also curious if the TV console underneath the gun cabinet is the same one on display in the old race track building (with the plaque that says it was a gift from RCA). The kitchen light fixture reminds me of the one that hung over the kitchen table of my childhood home. It was constructed in 1960 & western theming was in style.
I wonder if they might be able to recognize her! The TV is a different set, the RCA one has legs and this one appears to be a big box. Thanks for tuning in Marr!

Ashley are there any closeup photos of the figure on horseback statue on top of the tv in the music room? I've been wondering what this statue is.
