I love seeing all these old photos of Graceland. Elvis was just the right person to get Graceland. He did so many beautiful changes adding rooms and making things so much nicer. He was just meant to have that house. It still hurts me to know Lisa is gone. I mean I know Riley and the twins will appreciate it since they spent time there with their mother, but it’s just so sad.

I became a fan a week after her died age 10. I was listening to punk but was curious about the fuss over him dying. I bought the cassette of Live at Madison Square Garden, it's still my favourite album. In 1979 i discovered Rainbow and rock music but Elvis is still the best.

It might be helpful if you labeled things that you discuss kind of like the pics where to shower which way out but on a sperste photo because we still want to see the pictures nice and clean. Just suggestion but it may be something you would not want to do for privacy or something.

great photos ! the outside by the garage and doors area i can see now how it connects with the garage and rooms , this was perfect and the angle , it was always hard to picture it and figure out , and the window in the jungle room and i can see the old outside wall inside by the staircase , thats super cool , i love the old layout it reminds me of my old house , i keep having dreams about my old house it was big and we also had gas pumps and it was updated to stucco and stones about the time Graceland was built but was about 25 older , these pics look so clear and so good !

WOW - This is Amazing --- I So enjoy your channel and your details you have for Graceland! When I was a Little Girl My Family traveled through Tennessee and our first stop from Texas - was Graceland I think it was 76 or 77 -- I was 9 or 10 -- and I remember being at the Gates Of Graceland with My Daddy & Momma - and My Grandmother etc - I know it was before Elvis passed away - Because We were looking for Elvis to drive up etc -- and the GATES OMG to a Little Girl I was Mesmerized -- My Daddy was a HUGE Fan and I grew up on Elvis!!!!!! Daddy just passed away 3 Years ago -- due to Covid -- Wow How I miss Him!!!! My Elvis Channel is Dedicated to My Daddy ... Hugs Tonya - I've not yet Toured Graceland -- But I WILL!!!

I love this! My favorite part was the gold couch. Because I have that photo and I never realized that was the spot Elvis, Priscilla and Gary were sitting. You can see it so clearly with the horse and the wallpaper!! It's awesome to learn something new about this much loved home thank you Ashley 😍

I get so confused on how the house looked compared to today, but you do help to clear things spots up. Thanks for always showing the before and after photos, it really does help. My favorite was about the ring....good for Elvis throwing it in the toilet! Who knows if the reason is true, but it would be justified if that is what really happened.

My first visit in early 80's , I remember the projector was there and the back wall fountain was on. His clothes and stage outfits were in the trophy room , not enclosed but just behind velvet stancions. I remember reaching out and touching the famous '68 comeback leather outfit. I think a heard a gasp! or two when I did😁

Hi Ashley - great video (as always!) I miss the experience of seeing Graceland as it was in '82 & '83. Actual tour guides, Elvis' clothes displayed in the open instead of behind glass . . . Elvis' cars in the back yard (my brother and I sat in the Jeep and we could actually touch some of the others). It wasn't easy taking pictures then as we were restricted from using flash bulbs and video cameras were never allowed!

The part that showed the garages in the back..i was there in 80s when cars were parked under the carport and a simple chain in front of them. You could touch the cars and I' touched the stutz and have photos of cars under carport.. i also sat in the pink jeep in the back yard. I wish they had left everything in the house as it was the day he died. Thats what fans want to see. Now furniture has been teplaced and buildings added on. As time rolls on more things change there so.if you have not visited, I would get there soon. Im in the Gracelland Livestream chat room and we watch live shots of the mansion 24/7 from the cam mounted in front of the keyhole. Oh boy what things you see on that cam every day. Its a live action movie all day and night long.

Did not know a great deal of information given on this video! My favorite is when Elvis threw the shah of Iran’s ring into the toilet and his Aunt got it out and sold it! That would be just like Elvis not to want anything to do with that ring and not to even sell it (since he would not have cared about value). To Elvis, the ring was worthless.😊❤

I was there in 1989 (wow, i was 14 🤯) for the 8am tour and the smell of bacon and eggs hitting us as we walked in the front door. The tour guide told us we couldn't go into the kitchen right now because his aunt was making breakfast. And i remember glancing into the kitchen on our way out of the den

I believe that in the TV movie Elvis & Me (1985) that the scences upstairs were done in the actual bedroom. The scene when compared to photos online of the bedroom are identical. Thanks for another great video Ashley!!!

The ring story was interesting. Did you notice the Jeanie bottle on the coffee table where the gold couch now sits? It reminds me of the one in the 60s TV show I Dream of Jeanie starring Barbara Edan, Elvis's co-star in Flaming Star. Do you think there's a connection to that bottle?

Hi Ashley, I liked the whole video report it was so informative and the photos were spot on. I never knew Elvis flushed a ring down the toilet I thought maybe he would've kept it seeing that the Shah Of Iran had gifted it to him. But obviously finding out that women and children were being killed under his rule it seems perfectly the right thing to do. I mean throwing the ring away!! Thank you Take Care.

I am dying to understand how Aunt Delta lived at the property for so long with amount of visitors. I visited Graceland some 13-15 years ago, and I remember it not being as big as you would think.
It’s really not as big as you’d think! While she was alive her bedroom was Gladys’s old bedroom and the kitchen was not part of the tour

@@ashleysadventures Really? I got to think for 11 years she was living in a house that had routine tours, how weird was that?. Did she hide in her room all day? I mean...kind of gets the ole skull wondering what that was like. Did she utilize the rest of the house and amenities after guests left. Also, why was that situation worked out? I understand Elvis letting her live there, but at some point Pricilla had that conversation....like "Hey, we are going to open up to the public...so stay out of the rest of the house". Why stay at Graceland as opposed to moving somewhere else. Sorry, that raises alot of questions for me.
She was offered her own house but she was adamant about staying in the home she had lived in since 1967. She didn't take the tours kindly though, and sometimes came out of her room to walk the dog, smoke and yell at the tourists lol. Fans recollect seeing the dog, getting yelled at and smelling food cooking in the kitchen

I imagine that was a fun conversation not to mention the follow up conversations that I am sure had to occur to address the "yelling" at tourists. Question - Did the cooks and or maid get retained during that period where Aunt Delta was still living there?

Hey Ashley I love you videos they're so great but a little fun fact that railing in the beginning of this video that you're talkin about that was in California that wasn't at Graceland it was either California or Vegas know if memory serves me right it was in California that's when Priscilla came down and the holy gauge mint and everything like that is happening she was showing off the ring that was not at Graceland just wanted to give a fun fact keep the great videos coming thank you for your research
Thanks for tuning in! That film was 100% taken at Graceland, not in California. In other videos, I've shown the full length taken all around the jungle room and comparing exactly where it was.
Ohhh I understand what you're referring to! The film where Priscilla is showing off the ring was in in the Palm Springs honeymoon house taken at the time of their wedding. She was wearing a blue and yellow set.
In this particular film with the railing behind them, she's being surprised for her birthday. They gather in the jungle room to eat cake
