I like the way Gary Pepper received his pay cheques from Elvis when they were put in a dish on a cabinet counter. Sounds so personal and simple in that day. You certainly would feel like part of the family. Thank you Ashley.
Isnât that cool! Thank you Jackie!
I Love Elvis Presley! Love Graceland! Beautiful! I Love â€ïž The Presley Family! â„ïžđ¶đžđ€đŒâ€ïžđđ§
Me too! Youâre in the right place!
I really like how you are able to point out the little things that are right in front of us but so easily missed. Been through Graceland 20 times and you always teach me something new.
Happy to help! Thank you!
My favorite part is how you take a picture we all may have seen serval times over and bring them into a new light. Then turn them into a story of how and what it meant to Elvis, his life, his family and friends! And now his Fans. As always âAmazing job Ashley!â
Thatâs awesome, thank you Mama Jo!
One of the GREAT looks into Graceland ever. EP Enterprises should hire you!!
Wow thank you! So glad you enjoyed it! I have a whole series of these if youâre interested: czcams.com/play/PLpbgiT3hsfNYRJXM8BDZi3_q4q8MdOLQQ.html
Great video as always. I have been an Elvis fan for 40 years, I have read extensively about him and his life, yet today is the first time I ever heard of Gary Pepper, a really beautiful story. I myself work in the disability services and its amazing to think Elvis was promoting inclusion and employment for people with disabilities long before it was a done thing. He continues to amaze and impress.
Oh wow! I totally agree. If you're interested, I've created several videos about Gary and Elvis, here's the first one: czcams.com/video/Pp-ZLWmvgwo/video.html
I really enjoyed the video, your detective skills are second to none, I can't pick a favourite it was all good đđ
Thank youuu!
I love all your videos!!! You find the smallest of details that we would all miss....to find the details on the coffee table edging is amazing!! Master of Details! Another great video this week as always
Yay thank you Jason!!
Thank s Ashley. Love the way you see things that we don't. Thanks for all your hard work
You are so welcome! Thanks Sheila!
I love this series Ashley!! I love the part about where Gary's paycheck's were left. To me, I think Elvis would want Gary to feel just like everyone else, so probably every guy/gal had their paycheck's left there. Who knows.? Thank you for doing what you do.
Absolutely! Thank you Danny!
Loved all of the tidbits of info, you always make them so very interesting and I always learn something new from you about Graceland and Elvis. Thanks Ashley â€ïž
Aw thank you Karen! Glad you enjoyed it! âĄïž
Oh my, oh my Ashley! TMI!! I had to watch this video twice. Kept stopping, back âer up, fast forwarding! Whoops! Went too far. Dang it! đ€Ź Whew!! đ„” Iâm exhausted! LOL. After ALL that, I loved the Cycles of Life wheels on The Meditation Garden wall. âPROPHETICâ or âCOINCIDENCEâ that Elvis put them there ? đ€·ââïž TCB âĄïžđșđđ”ïž

So very interesting, Iâd sure love to see whatâs in the attic. Thanks for all the research you do and the amazing pics of how it looked in the early days. đ
Ooh me too. Thanks a lot Bruce!
Thank you Ashley, wonderful information about things we Elvis fans really don't think about. Keep new information coming as best you can.
Thank you! Will do!
thanks for another good video its nice to see gracelands from different sides take care from england
Glad you like them! Thank you Paul
I love seeing the before and after's of Elvis' home/property. I think Ma Ma Jo Scott said it best! It is fun to see how things looked in the early years to what it became in the 70's and what it is now. All homes change with the times and Elvis' home was no different. Yes, he had some unusual taste but it is what made him him! I don't know that I had a favorite, but I love that you busted the myth of a door coming into the dinning room from outside. It did look like a door, but way to high. If I was going to pick a favorite, it would have to be the circles on the wall. I just think that is so interesting, cool and perfectly Elvis. Great job again Ashley, you always search out the truth and bring it to us. Thanks for all you do!
Yay thanks a lot Brenda!! Glad you enjoy these peeks into Graceland like I do
Like always great job and so many cool unseen pics to me....
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love this. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you
Love love love love thanks Ashley
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
The wheel patterns = cycle or circle or life was very interesting - my favorite
Great choice!
What was your favorite thing you learned from this video?
I loved the info on the patterns meaning. Wheels of life!
Trophy building info and pics were very interesting.... Great Video once again.
It was all fascinating but the most touching part was hearing how Elvis put Gary on the payroll. What a typical Elvis move. What a sweet, caring and generous man! Oh, what he did for his aunt Delta too!
Have you heard the story about when aunt Delta got drunk at Graceland? Elvis who apparently had great distaste for people who were drunk, warned her that if she ever got drunk like that again she would nor be allowed to stay at the house.
I thought the Buddhist Wheels of Life were very interesting. I've been to Graceland a few times so far and have never thought of going behind the wall in the Medication Garden. I will try to the next time I go in September. Thanks for all the info Ashley!
All of it was interesting. The wheels of life was my favorite part.
Man oh man, what a house - - Graceland. Elvis and His friends there. But interesting. Greetings from đ©đȘđŽđčđŽđčđŽđčđŽ

My favorite part is Elvis and the little girl visitor. Too bad he made her wait 2 hrs. And the circles on the back of the wall in the mediation garden. Next time we go I'LL look and see if l can see them. Thank you for all your hard work. Much !love Mary
Awesome, thank you for watching!!
I love watching your video show things of Lisa Marie that we have not seen.

AnticipationâŠ.
Yay I hope you enjoy it âșïž
I see the only commissioned by Elvis of himself painting you see in the trophy room photo is still there just before you exit toward the pool. I just toured Graceland again a couple of weeks ago and John Stamos mentions it on the iPad tour. Very cool video Ashley.
Stay tuned!
Very interesting Ashley. Nice work for sure đđ»đ

Iâm a huge fan of elvis Presleyâs I love đ elviss music and flims too elvis will always be the king đ of rock and roll đž my dream is to visit Graceland and communicate with elvis 1:58pm
Thanks for watching!
@@ashleysadventures Iâve learned a lot from about Graceland and where elvis looked after his beautiful home đ Graceland tcb âĄïžđž 11:13am
Have they roped off the pool room? I've been to Graceland 7-8 times, but Aunt Delta was still living there the last time I visited so we didn't see the kitchen or her bedroom. However, everything else was open. You could walk the grounds, spend time at the racquetball court, go out to the Meditation Gardens, then come back through the Trophy Room. It was really open to fans, but as crowds increased I think they closed the living room and music room. Of course, upstairs and the dining room were always roped off. Still, a very special place!
It would be very different now! The pool room is roped off
Thank you..
Welcome!
Another great one! âĄïž
Thanks girl, glad you enjoyed it! âĄïž
Thank you
And thank you for watching! âșïž
Ashley, I don't know how you do it! Where on earth do you get all your photos from and information? This is crazy! You're amazing. Graceland just continues to amaze me and keep me thinking about just where that view or something was...so confusing with all the changes through the years. Thank you so much for all of your sleuthing!
Haha! This is a culmination of years of nerding out. I was the same way, it was so confusing and hard to understand even after a few visits so I needed to dive in and kept finding more and more things that intrigued me. So happy you enjoyed this one! Thank you
II love all the information and I am amazed that you can memorize all that!
Itâs a lot! đ„ haha but so much fun to share. Thank you Regina.
Great info Ashley đ
Thanks a lot!
When you was talking about Elvis recording his last album, in the Jungle Room, it just made me think, it's not a place that is secluded, those sounds could be heard in the kitchen clearly, because there is no sliding door, like in the dinning room that could block the outside room noise.
Everyone had to be quiet. Thanks for watching!
@@ashleysadventures Cool. You're Welcome
I havenât seen too much or any of the photos of the trophy room at 7:43 but lately I have been. For some reason(havenât told anyone) I had a split second dream along time ago of walking into this room, looking like it does in 7:43 and Elvis was standing behind the counter. I have no idea why, but i dreamed it, and now this photo has been so different for me.
Thatâs interesting! Thank you for watching

Nice pic of Ruth
thank you for watching!
Iâm not sure but I think back then the shutters on the windows were there to help when it really cold so they closed them over the windows to protect the cold when the wind was blowing cold! Remember back then there wasnât good heating in homes so they only had the glass windows so if they closed the shutters over the windows to keep out the cold! I wish I had asked my daddy when he was alive! In New Orleans the shutters were there to protect windows from breaking when they had bad storms! Now they just put ply wood over the windows to keep the windows from being broken in blowing debris.
Interesting! Thanks for watching!
Ashley . . . could you give us info on what is around the left corner of the refrigerator in the kitchen and where that area goes to??? Great video/info.
Thanks for watching! Sure, I just took a pic the other day and Iâll share it on Facebook and Instagram
I just visited Graceland. Awesome place. The best thing I observed was the smell of aged wood and carpet and fabric when I entered the front doors. I was expecting obnoxious plug air fresheners or over powering cleaner smells.
YESSS!! The my favorite part! đ
Do you think they will ever open up the upstairs to the public ?Seems to me that is the other half of the curiosity people have about Graceland.
My guess is no. Thereâs only one way in and one way out so unless they change the access, the fire marshal couldnât approve it for tours
@@ashleysadventures I completely forgot about that âŠ
Just wondering if the antiques that he had removed were kept? I love antiques especially if there is a provenance attached ..
I donât believe they were saved
Elvis didnt like antiques.
Best Elvis channel on YT! (Don't tell the Spa Guy I said that :)
Thank you. I'm not associated with him whatsoever
@@ashleysadventures Although intrigued, Your affiliation with him doesn't matter to me. You keep being the best at what you do. I'm glad I'm sub'd to this channel :)

Love your videos Ashley, do have recommendations for books on Elvis and Graceland?
I recommend Graceland by Chet Flippo. Itâs a thick, comprehensive coffee table book you can find used for under $10
Not sure, like in a cloud on the edge
Hi Ashley thank you for your marvelous videos always so informative. I would love to know if there is any information that you are aware of in regards to the privacy wall at the top of the staircase leading to the upper floor. I recently read a comment from a Presley family member that this wall was not installed until after Elvis passed. Do you know if this was correct,? Thanks
Thanks a lot Biff! That privacy wall can be seen in photos as far back as the early 60s
@@ashleysadventures Thanks Ashley I knew you would be able to clear this up your Graceland knowledge is nothing short of incredible. It's odd that a family member claimed it was never there.
Happy I could clear that up!
Could it be Elvis' s Uncle Vester standing in the doorway of Graceland looking on at Elvis?
In the pic on the beginning? I canât tell
Circled is the dining room window
Are there any pics of the billiards room before it was remodeled?
Not publicly that Iâve seen
Are the stairs to the jungle room sealed off? When I went to Graceland in 84, you got to the jungle room from the basement stairs.
Itâs the same way except you can see the jungle room from the kitchen, which was closed until the 90âs
Circled is the dining room window...
Ashley it's been awhile since I seen a such an avid fan of Elvis. Can you suggest a restaurant that he or you would like that's nearby GRACELAND.
Thanks for watching! Try Marlowe's BBQ, an Elvis themed restaurant that Elvis did visit. on Elvis Presley Blvd
