I wore the bunny costume for 4 seasons at my local mall. It was fun, un fun, weird, wild, hilarious, etc. I was about 8 feet tall in the suit, a little intimidating, I know. Obviously, I was there for the kids, but I had some of the best times on school days, playing around with the older mall walkers. I would come off my stage and just goof around with them. When an older person's inner child comes out, it is just as magical as a child's wonder.
That usually was the way it went with Lord Dampnut. He tweet something and and I'd say "oh, ok, that was good" and then between 4am to 2 days later he'd tweet something that totally blew the first tweet out of the water and I'd say "ah, damnit!!"

all those people dressed up as the Easter bunny reminded me of a suspicious Christmas Eve when my parents tried to fool me with a fake Santa Claus visit. at 4 1/2 I believed in a lot of stuff but when your parents start acting weird. Asking me if I could hear the reindeer on the roof when there was no such sound, then getting giggly when some guy knocks on our door ho ho ho-ing. Well, the guy did give me a cool toy... but I could tell by their voices they were telling me a tall tale.
at the same age I remember hearing that most creepy Christmas song on the radio, "Santa Claus is Coming to Town". " he knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake. he knows when you've been good or bad, so be good for goodness sake!" That song would make the hair stand up on my neck. I pictured Santa peeking in the windows watching me. That always gave me a severely creepy feeling. At least the Easter bunny doesn't act like a peeping Tom.

When my nephew was little ( now in his 40s) we went to the mall and there was a tall guy in a bunny suit standing there. Do you have kids? The best way to get them to "read" (with few exceptions) is reading it to them or sitting next to them as they read. I never once thought "Oh boy, I better read that book I was forbidden from reading!"

You are misinformed about the books that have been banned. They are maths textbooks with inappropriate political messages referring to critical race theory etc. I think it is perfectly reasonable to remove such unrelated dogma.
