I think most regular viewers (and certainly fans and people who've read his book) ARE aware of this; however, as the show is American and filmed in the United States, one could argue that he's an American TV host. But that does make me wonder how other countries would describe a foreign-born host, including first-generation citizens(?).
He's American person, this means if you work in America for American entity you are American journalist, worker, player etc.

I have read papers and reports from people where I got headaches from just the first sentence due to how bad their writing skills were and I don’t see any of those issues with your writing. Side note: Every single time I see someone apologize for their bad or broken English on the Internet because they are still learning the language, I have yet to see it actually warranted. The people who apologize always seem to have a really good understanding and grasp on the written language. In some cases, they know how to properly write in English better than some American college students.
