Hello @UnrealSensei, will your "Unreal Masterclass" course cover the Verse language and Fortnite development ?
Are you going to be producing content in Fortnite?
@@gamsc It might cover verse in the future but it will not cover Fortnite. But skills are transferable from the Masterclass to UEFN
@@UnrealSensei What kind of PC do you use for Unreal? Or what's the best to get vs an okay PC?
**REALLY** Thank you for making me lol like not before this day:
0:40 "To make the work faster"
Yeah. *in unreal ?*
i mean: in **THIS ENGINE** every Workflow needs not lesser than 10 time more than for example in Unity ?
Make it faster ?
you will tell me, unreal find a way, to do **ONE SINGEL THING** Without to need HOURS for the same Result in Unity done into secundes ?
**Great** LOL.
thank you, this was made my day.
Fast Workflow in Unreal, this is same like Aliens told us, they living on the moon.
Epic is constantly pushing the envelope. So grateful; having all these tools available for free is a childhood dream come true for me.
voy a llorar
@Mer Luzo and yet unity still stands. Epic is great, don't get me wrong, but unity had it's place. They're both doing amazing things and providing them for what is essentially free to people like us that just want to build our dreams, and so IMHO they're both amazing.
@Mer Luzo unity is better for some genres than unreal
for you only i guess xd .. the fact is : 112.254 viewers only in 6 days ? i bellieve , they just now just abbandoned the best historical comunity of UT saga Games... oneday same thing and destiny will be for theyr fortinite xd
Switched to unreal few months back still getting good but the power of the engine is amazing!
Epic Games continue to blow me away. Looking forward to your in depth look at the new features
watch unity, will blow you away to.
Every one of these announcements is revolutionary. I feel like we're witnessing history being made 😮
100% 😆
For the first time I feel a little bit like learning Unreal
Procedural tools aren’t new
Since Metaverse i was thinking it should be in Unreal Engine and that Epic is already goin in that direction, they just didn't have the name Metaverse for it yet. Unreal Metaverse haha
I started on this channel, and I love coming back to see you helping inform and teach everyone else. Thanks man!
I LOVE UNREAL ENGINE 5
UE5 is my bestie
Me too but it broke my pc
@@ab_dalwa @Serano Toturials
you 2 need to learn unity. YOu will never return to unreal.
@@smokingheadstudiogerman5299I did, a lot of the functionality thats built into UE5 is missing in Unity
Thanks for the summary! Looking forward to the updated landscape and landscape material tutorial!
Excellent information, and it's all exciting news! Thank you for putting this recap together, I'm almost done with your tutorial and I can't wait to get ready to use the amazing tools they're adding this year.
Literally been making FN maps for years and UEFNs announcement has made me speed run learning, I'm in love with everything that I can do with unreal and all the help you've provided I hope even more young developers find that passion on your new channel aswell
Also might wanna reach out to creators like Richie toons he's kinda been doing what you've been doing but for legacy Fortnite maps. Might be nice to have someone who understands what the community is familiar with
good luck!
I’m so happy with the management at UR. Great job!! Can’t wait to create with these new tools
you are the best person for unreal updates. TO the point and actually helpful. Thanks
YES YES YES!
I am so intrigued by Verse, and cannot wait for your tutorials and other resources
Solodev may be more realistic than I thought
The metahuman animation is awesome - it's definitely in the uncanny valley in this demo, but i'm looking forward to seeing how this technology is controlled!
True but it gets you 80% of the way there. You still need an animator to tweak and fix it until it looks good.
Imagine it combined with deepfakes tho.
@@aaagaming2023 already a thing
@@spuffles2104 I know. Thats what I mean.
nothing special.
Daz Charakter basic Essentials + free Blender Plugin = you have the same.
Thank you for this awesome summary!
I'm really looking forward to Verse. I am a C++ developer by trade, but using it for small personal projects really sucks the fun out of Unreal. Having a higher level programming language that's easy to use, but scales better than Blueprint will be a nice middle-ground, though I think most of the big developers will most likely stick to C++.
verse is an extremely weird programming language in really interesting ways, it might bend your brain a bit - if you haven't looked at it I'd summarize it as being like if you wrote your entire program in template metaprogramming but at runtime. it .... might be similarly hard to debug, for the same SFINAE reason ...
@@laurenpinschannels so would it be a bad idea to learn verse as my first language or would it be better to learn that language first?
would it be a bad idea to learn verse as my first language or would it be better to learn that language first?
What's so bad about it? I'm a C# developer by trade and I find it quite easy to get into, far more so than "normal C++" in that it feels a bit more like a scripting language aside from the compiling and headers/cpp files.
I don't know what Unreal Sensei is smoking, but you definitely do not have to re-compile the engine for every small change you make.
nothing bad about it. it has some really cool paradigms. control flow is very odd in it, the way it handles errors and exceptions and set values are all very interesting
Using Unity for a couple of game atm for VR. But UE5.2 is compelling for my next game. Verse language I was not expecting but it could be good, I do love learning new languages.
Incredible. All that power... Epic really blows it out of the park.
Thank you for the break down. It was a very impressive demo for sure!
Cool video! Thank you for the updates !
Subscribed on your new channel! Thanks!
You have awesome tutorials!
Thx for the recap!
I think it would be really good if the procedural content generation could start working with assets for example you tell it you want a house with three stories two doors in the look of Tudor and it will go and generate something random for you. It would be even better if people could have these types of procedural generations templated and put on the assets store so someone’s assets they make won’t look exactly the same in the game that you build
Reeeaallly looking forward to the procedural world building tools!
Future looks to be awesome!
Great content and explanation 👍🏼
this is kind of amazing. thanks for the update
I'm #393 subscriber on your new channel :) thanks for awesome tutorials!
Awesome video, thank you.
Might be time to start tinker on that game i always wanted to do :D
Thanks as always for the content.
Your videos are always so good.
I hope you make a tutorial about using PCG that would be really nice.
As a guy that started game programming by writing pixels to 0xA000, the pace and functionality of these (free!) game engines is mind blowing
Absolutely stunning! Hopefully games in the next few years uses these tech well!
I love this channel
Steam: We have a map editor and you can create some shorts with our Source Filmmaker!
Epic: Hold my Game Development Studio.
Will you make a tutorial on how to make a complex car system as shown in the unreal livestream?
I look fword to learning how to use this. Thank you ;~)
Thank you for this video. I started my UE journey 3 weeks ago, and your tutorial was what got me comfortable with the program. My end-game is not to create/make video games, but it is to create stories and short films. It would be interesting to see some of your content do that... if you have the time, or a clone, to help manage it.
As a side bar question, other than Fortnight, was is the major difference between UE5 and UEFN? They seem to be the exact same thing. I'm not sure what features/benefits one has over the other.
Thank you. Keep up the great content!
Good question. Maybe look at how Roblox does it and Fortnite has had custom content in the past. Look at that. The popular stuff.
Let’s go 🎉
Fab could be a game changer, a persistant object library (hope it’s for materials as well)..
strangely, the most interesting part of this is the fortnite part. seems like a good opportunity for newcomers and small studios to get some leverage on their projects.
So excited for Verse, I hope it is more flexible than Blueprints but not as complicated as C++
kind of excited about verse!
Thanks. This was interesting
My first game engine was Hammer editor making Counterstrike maps, 20 years after we have this amazing tool for free.
Incredible!
This is sick!
what a great time to be grateful !
@Unreal Sensei Hey I want to make video games using unreal 5, I’ve tried to follow your videos, but is there anything I need to know before watching your videos on how to start unreal? Also do you have a website or something, if not you should have something dedicated to all the shortcuts you can use for unreal 5
The Fab platform will be the next gen 3D marketplace. Unfortunately It is currently unavailable in UE 5.2 preview. I asked the developer in UR Forums that it will be launched this year.
Thank you!
hey sensai brilliant work. this comment isnt related to this video particulary, but could you maybe do some new tutorials based on the new unreal maybe basic things like changing fps default gun to your own design please. most tutorials i am finding for basic stuff seem to be slightly out dated now and dont work with the new movement system. im brand new to unreal (last 2 months) so i really have to follow tutorials step by step but some of the steps arent the same in the new unreal. sorry for long message but brilliant work btw.
will FAB be available for aplications other than game engines, like Blender, 3dsMax or Maya?
It’s going to bed so freaking awesome to play games with unreal engine 5 I can’t wait. What I’m not gonna like though is getting the hardware necessary to play these newer graphics
You mentioned it will release later in the year for unreal engine, would you happen to have the article or video where they mentioned that? I am super excited for it but wanted to get a sense of a release timeline for unreal engine.
Excellent video, I'm pretty excited to see Verse, FAB and MH Animator. Also thanks for the good explanation about UEFN, I had barely heard about it, but now I see it can become the "new Unreal" (I remember when Unreal was only a FPS game, but look at it now).
hiee I simply lovvve your tutorials but can you also make a tutorial on sequencer for animation! That would be a great help to learn about it in detail.
What a time to be alive!!
Nanite for deforming mesh like skeletals (Characters, etc)
And the gaming industry would blow up exponentially.
And also the size of games would 10x after that :D :D
It's been a long time since I played Fortnite, but I have such nostalgia for the early days of it. I think it will be remembered fondly as a great game, and it's impact on the gaming industry from a technical standpoint with unreal and practices such as normalising the move away from pay to win lootboxes has been extremely positive.
this is so nuts man
Making games has never been easier. What a time to be alive. :)
Hold onto your papers!
it is much more easy.
you can use "Unreal" and punish yourself
or you can use unity and make a game.
your choice.
Verse looks very much like Python. One of the great features of Blender is Python scripting, and doing something similar for UE5 is great.
Amazing.
Either meta buys unreal or unreal buys meta to get into metaverse, buying chatgpt, and making this matrix we live in now ;)
Yep! And push Unreal 5 to make VR games easier and faster. After playing the epics - Boneworks, Lone Echo and Half-Life Alyx, other VR titles look bad.
It's amazing that unreal came a very long way 💛💛💛
I really want to make a game I envisioned in my mind years ago if only for myself. I just need the time, and Unreal seems to be making this possible.
sensei why have you stopped making content? your tutorials are literally the best i have seen on the internet
thank's!
EPIC is truly EPIC!!!! all of this advancement makes my head hurts but excited at the same time!
What Epic is doing blows me away. Its insane how powerful these tools are!!
Excellent
I learned something new today
Where can I get the dragon image you used for the thumbnail in a wallapper size res?
Already SUBscribed.
i want to say that automatic train tool is very good thing... with that with litte code u gona be allowed to create relistick world generator like in minecraft imagine having zombie game that has map generated with locations... i seen that concept with houses someone made it by they self and i think u relly can make cool thing with it
Any hope for native support for blender objects with geometry nodes? What's the best way to get geometry nodes objects into UE? Do I just need to apply everything?
246th subscriber on UFN
Love it. I just wish they could get water animations down :(
I have such incredible respect for Tim Sweeny to want to create a world where companies are working together to create a common place for all the game development tools that exist. This way every company doesnt have to create their own game development tools that others have already made. Saving 1000 of work hours, and becoming greater than the sum of their parts. I got chills hearing you talk about Tim Sweenys vision
This is so Epic Games. Marketing the engine while sweeping the game series that birthed it under the floor mat. Good job , guys. Good job
0:47, maybe we can recreate Pandora world from Avatar super realistic! 😆🔥🌿
verse... i hope it is similar to C/C++ or C# but much simpler.
i think they should improve movements and physics of the engine more when characters is running in the engine its like its flying above the ground with out actual physics (im not saying its bad but need more improvement)
Could never get a good velvet looking shader now substrate makes it truly possible
This is so Cool! I am making a game rn and this Meta Human Animator gonna save me so much time!!!
If anyone want to join the development journey he is welcome to check the channel, new vids soon!
What is it about?
What is it about?
Epic pushes our industry even it has no opponent. What a company man...
And the Chinese were once again smart and bought a huge share for a very small price. I wonder when Tencent will be demonized like Huawei :D
I wonder why the felt the need to create a completely new programming language instead of using an already stablished one, specially if its supposed to be a general propose on, maybe a video discussing this and highlighting the features that make verse different would be a good idea
is your tutorial also good to start archiviz ?
just wish UE make support for VRM models like Unity, no idea if its possible but i hope it is.
what the hell?! the last part is Unreal!!, adjusting game on the fly - just wow.
Wow this is amazing stuff coming from Epic. I never did like them as a company or their launcher, still don't, however everything they've done with Unreal Engine has been fantastic and is setting new standards for games across the industry. The only competition now with Unreal 5.1 and beyond would be Rockstar's RAGE engine, I imagine that game will be detailed beyond belief
Without Unreal Engine I couldn't be following my dreams of publishing games and getting out of this job I hate. Love seeing this stuff and people so hyped about it
Crazy from the very start to the very end... Ridiculously good... I mean common, they share 40% with people who are creating FN worlds and games??? Hello??? Amazing!!!! Not gonna be one of those as I'm actually working on my own game, but this is so good... I also have to rethink if I'm not going to use meta human now that I can control face and animations better. Yet with live link I can control my own characters face equally good. I have a serious problem with deciding in what style to make my assets, cartoonier or hardcore realistic, it's hard :'D yet I think I'm not using meta humans after all, i still wanna be able to say I did it myself in the end
Hey im wondering, because i had some trouble with 5.1 i stayed at 5.0.3 but can I just open and continue my project when 5.2 comes out?
When they are talking about "Metaverse", are they talking about Facebook ?
I've been googling for the info but I just find article refering either only to Facebook, or only to Unreal Engine but cannot find anything about my question.
I love undertime slopper
Oh wow
