What if I told you that there’s a missing Avengers movie?
Someone didn’t return a movie?
No, no, no. I mean an Avengers movie that should have come out between Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU. An Avengers movie that was supposed to give us a new team of Avengers assembled by Nick Fury-to help take on an army of shape shifting lizard people from an alternate dimension.
That sounds awesome!
Yep, but it was never made.
Why? Marvel always ends their phases with Avengers movies.
Well Marvel’s new way of handling phases and saga’s is certainly different from before. The overall content has been pretty hit and miss, and the universe as a whole feels very disconnected. But I’m telling you, with a little reworking it could have been one of the best phases yet.
Last week we made this video about ow Secret INvasion should have been an Avengers movie, instead of a low budget disney plus series. But now we’re going to tell you, in exacting detail, how all of Phase 4 should have been about secret invasion-and how it could have bene thee greatest phase of the MCU.
You see, one of the key things Phase 4 was missing were “therefore connections.” Surprisingly, South Park’s Trey Parker explains it best.
So, here’s what should’ve happened with Phase 4 to give each project a feeling of consequence. And lead us to our next Avengers movie which will be based on, like we said, Secret Invasion.
Captain Marvel established that the Skrulls were refugees who’d been decimated by the Kree.
They weren’t villains like their comic book counterparts. But in another universe, maybe they are. This is the Multiverse Saga after all, so it’s only fitting that we have a multiversal threat at the center of our new Avengers movie.
In the movies and in the comics the Skrulls are looking for a home. So, what if in another universe we see a clan of Skrulls that have exhausted all their options. Their home planet was destroyed and no other planet in any galaxy will have them.
This clan of Skrulls is journeying through space looking for a home when they detect a tear in spacetime. A door to another universe, our universe.
In this fantasy world where we’re running Marvel Studios, this scene will be the post credit scene to Avengers Endgame. Teasing the forthcoming Multiverse Saga, as well as giving consequence to the Avengers time traveling. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Well now I'm just forever bummed this isn't the Phase 4 we got. But on another Earth, I'm sure they loved it!

The problems in the MCU multiverse saga were the bad script of the series and films and the characters' lack of charisma, but the next two Avengers films have everything to be epic, according to an insider in the first Kang and Thanos of the 1016 Universe will recruit Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom to be part of the Beyonder, Nick Fury will discover the plan of the evil Beyonders and will recruit a new team of Avengers, The new Avengers were defeated in a battle against the Beyonder, Loki and Captain Marvel died and the Beyonder Conquered the entire Multiverse. In the second film, Marvel Heroes from different universes will unite to defeat the Beyonders and will succeed after Doctor Strange's sacrifice, but they will not be able to save the multiverse from a major incursion. Reed Richards will convince Galactus to create a new universe and he will take the few survivors from the old multiverse there. After that, a new MCU will begin and only the most iconic Marvel characters will win films and series.

I've one more significant change. The last person to arrive...is Spiderman. How huge would it be to find out that Spiderman was a skrull instead of Shang-Chi!?! Also, if he wasn't shown as the mole early in the film, we'd have plenty more opportunity to see Shang-Chi in beautifully choreographed stunt sequences...whilst wearing the 10 rings.
And who better to show warrior skrulls that have entered our universe the decent side of humanity. Spiderman would be the perfect person to bridge the two groups. Maybe Peter escaped before they put him in a pod, so they imprisoned him instead. Maybe Gaia is his jailor and the two have some wonderful conversations about the futility of war xxx

This is probably the best MCU-related video your team has ever released. This makes so much more sense & feels far more cohesive than what we have actually received. Is it too late to make these changes come to fruition? Fiege… are you listening?

In a post-Trump presidency of ACAB, BLM, George Floyd, LgBtQiA, MeToo society where pandemics made people paranoid, tiki Torch riots, insurrection & children put in cages.... can we please agree ESPOSITO is a perfect casting for the black MCU Professor X "variant", all day long, & if we could have Denzel Washington as Magento, to let the reset go back to the X-men representing race relations in the Civil Rights era to show gen z what their predecessors went through while getting the payoff of that Deadpool movie line mentioning it being that way.
Beside the obvious callback to White & Colored restrooms, entrances and water fountains, integration, desegregation, sundown town racism, police brutality, conspiracy level corruptions exposed within the criminal justice system, mass incarceration rates, trumped up charges, the prison industrial complex, & red-lining with predatory lending policies & practices all in mind,
People really felt and were treated like the Mutants. And still are.
Our heroes were arrested and assasinated. And for that reason, Ryan Coogler started the Black Panther in Oakland, the city where the Black Panther Party for Self Defense was born before going nationwide.
Could you imagine the level of turn out for the MCU for that kind of story where Charles and Eric can literally stand alongside American History for the long run of a story, that sets a Martin and Malcolm tone, the way Steve Rodgers marks the forward momentum of WW2?!
Denzel doesn't deserve to just be CGI'd out, with a voice over for Dormamu or Galactus.
He's got chops!!!! Blackman with an Oscar... make him Magneto! Esposito played in the Spike Lee Joint, SchoolDaze. He is still a quite brilliant actor. His character profile of AfroLatinoCarribean is magnificent and could be a root for his brother Juggernaut hating him like he did.
Fury basically told us he was alive when Emitt Till was. That's what "Secret Invasion" means to us when he speaks to Talos on the train about blacks not allowed in the dining car.
Or to Rava Skrull James Rhodes when he says the "mediocre Alexander Pierce" line,
because in David Hasselhoff's Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD, Al Pierce was a fresh cadet out of the Triskelion Academy but in the MCU he is a Hydra stand-in as the Director of Shield, under World Security Council's Gideon Malik, another head of Hydra when it falls in Cap2WinterSoldier.
You recall him sending fake cops to kill Fury, and when they failed, he sent Bucky.
Only Coulson, Romanov, Rogers, Hill, and Carter next door to Steve knew Nick was alive when "wife kicked him out."
SOOOO Talos is literally belittling Fury in the car? In the bar. And after that ass whipping at Shield, Talos is really just a dick to say, "You were nothing without me and my 19 spies," basically, like that bus collision with his car that killed the Skrull who took the form of agent Phillip J. Coulson in Captain Marvel, that Fury survived meant, though Fury closed off the scene, & brought in a green for SHIELD, it wasn't worth the promotion?
No. Even though his father was Jack Fury of Cap's Howling Commandos, "men who look like us don't get those positions because of who our dads are."
So bring in those real stakes. Cloak & Dagger should know Sam Wilson of NOLA is Captain America. His speech should have caught the world by storm.
Tyrone "Cloak" Johnson knew of Luke Cage-Powerman from ABC Studios all the way to Netflix via a newspaper.
Shouldn't the Multiverse Saga be the time and place to introduce the X-men to do this? We have a whole introduction no one saw coming, especially when life originated in Africa, Bantu are born in everyshade under heaven from black to white and Sentinels will eventually see all humans as mutants.
Marvel should just say they were hacked & to ignore phase 4. The real phase 4 is coming soon 👀😂

This would have been so much fun! It would have solved so many issues that exist because of the behind the scenes moves that are going on with the MCU chess game. I feel like we were robbed of this and feel Talos shouldn't have died in Secret Invasion.
The cynic in me says that it’s waaaay easier to make these proposals after the existing movies were made and the “mistakes” identified… but the fan in me turns into The Rock and says, “It doesn’t matter how we got here!” Because I’m so on board, and love this! Well done all.
I had the same thought and it’s true that it is easier to pick what worked and what didn’t from something already created and say how you would have done it differently. BUT that’s also presumably why the studio leaders and creatives are paid the big bucks. They’ve had well planned narratives in the past that demonstrates Feige and company are capable of building a coherent storyline. That cohesiveness was just lacking from this phase. I blame Chapek as much as anyone for demanding TV shows that strained Marvel resources past their abilities. They really need to scale down and get back to what worked in the first 3 phases.
Agreed. I’d love to see this as a video projecting what they’d like to see in phase 5 and see if it lines up. That’d be fun and an actual risk taken by this channel
100% it’s easier to think you could do better in hindsight. Pretty much every MCU movie I watch nowadays I leave thinking “Wouldn’t this have been better if they did X?” Which is easier than writing a whole ass movie. But that’s what their job is, so to have a regular guy like me leaving a movie thinking I could do better (even tho i definitely couldnt from scratch) shows something went wrong. It’s 100% an executive issue tho, all of the rushing and deadlines and shitty pay will only lead to a continuous decline in quality. Maybe the writer’s strike is a much needed wake up call for these executives (its not)
Actually Ryan and team have come up with possible story lines even before certain movies are released. Check out some of their earlier videos.
But almost always the movie(s) comes out different because who knows, maybe some screenwriters watch this channel and are afraid they might have to share writing credit.

I don't think every phase needs an avengers movie. Maybe marvel needs to start to introduce the X-Men and stop focusing on the avengers

The skrulls getting 'the garden' is awesome. Also I'd love a "The Thing" style scene where everyone is trying to out each other and one turns out to be a skrull and all hell breaks loose

Fan fic can be made completely in earnest; it's not a parody just because it didn't come from the IP owner. If the thing that you wind up with at the end of your imagining is not making fun of the thing you started with, it's not a parody. Even if it has little bits of self-aware humor in it, because the MCU is chock full of that, and yet somehow remains not a parody of the comic books that inspired it...

This would have been so cool! They should’ve already released a movie where the new members team up.
It's a good pitch, and a hell of the lot better than the TV version of secret invasion we got on Disney Plus. If only studio execs weren't greedy assholes and treated their writers better, they might win back fans' loyalty.
You guys are rewriting the story in a new more cohesive, coherent way - that I think most of us fan enjoy better.

I actually really liked Phase 4. But this just sounds so cool this would have been awesome.
I rarely comment, and till now haven't commented on any of your videos. This was by far your best contribution yet! This was in deed the Phase 4/5 we deserved and never received. Thank you for providing this multi-versal look at what came to pass as a reality in another dimension, or multi-verse. I'd also like to commend you on Doug... Standing why presenting and on your selection of content! As Stan Lee would've said Excelsior!!!
My only problem with this is that it depicts the Skrulls as more of an imposing threat than Kang The Conqueror. Like, He Who Remains still would've told Loki and Sylvie about his previous life as Kang and the multiversal war, then Loki would just show up on earth to face off with a completely different threat. And it also wouldn't explain how Loki gets back to the TVA and rekindles his friendship with Mobius so he could tell him the truth about Kang.
The Skrulls are the big bad of Phase Four, not of the entire mulitverse saga. It's like how Loki was the villain of Phase One, but there were hints to the overarching villain Thanos, who then became the major threat of Phase Three. Kang would be the final villain of the entire Mulitverse Saga.
This IS the reason why Hollywood needs new writers and new imagination

I think Talos should have the same encounter with the other version of him, like in Multiverse of Madness when 616 Wanda encountered 838: “Know that they’ll be loved”.

After credits scene #2: Fury is debriefing the team says “we don’t know if there are other tears with Strange’s misadventures “
We cut to another tear, a wheelchair comes closer to it and we see the back of Charles Xavier’s head. We then zoom out and see the X Men are investigating the tear from their side off their universe. We then have Deadpool break the 4th wall and give us a snarky comment. The end.
I honestly think that I prefer Marvel playing the long game. I honestly liked Phase 4, but I think that it would be much more well received if we had more specials and less shows. Have 1 or 2 shows a year, like Loki or Wandavision, but give those introductory characters like Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight hour specials. It makes this phase seem much more grand scale, than rushing in an avengers movie.
This is great but my only complaint is that the avengers feel crowded and that taking off a few members could help a lot.
Skrulls should have always been a galactic threat no matter how funny Talos was.

For a variety of reasons (most notably that the MCU that *has* happened is hard enough to follow, and I'm a lifelong Marvelite), I'm not really interested in counterfactual/fanfiction MCU history, but I enjoy your commentaries and I appreciate the MCU love!!!!! And I admit this story is *much* tighter than what we have and that there are parts to this that are interesting!

If this had happened, the MCU and the entire theater industry would be in a much better place right now.
The only change I would make is that instead of Endgame's time travel opening a door that wasn't closed, it left a trail because there's literally no door but there could be a trail.

I’ve been watching your videos for years and this is my first time commenting.
Excellent work done by you guys here. I was always so impressed by Marvel’s ability to connect so many storylines and characters, but nothing has been the same since Endgame, for various controllable and uncontrollable reasons. This video is incredible but also painful to watch, because I wish this were the phase 4 we actually got.

Yeah but Skrulls can’t just simply stick a finger into a puddle of blood and then become whoever’s blood it’s from. Talos even says in Captain Marvel “well I need to see it first “. And they can’t replicate their powers that way either.

I like this! I like how you've planted the seeds in each end credit scene! Even though Phase 4 had its issues, I still think it had a few great projects like Shang Chi, Werewolf by Night etc.
What you do really really well here is to get in some many different types of previews and connections to other and future movies and series. That is what makes it all really feel it’s an ongoing larger story.
Feige has to watch your stuff. World building, cohesive story telling, character development, moving the story forward. I miss this in the MCU

I still think the “Secret Invasion” storyline needed more spy-thriller moments of intrigue. A slow burn of distrust and espionage. Maybe if the alternate universe skrulls had been on earth for years via the rift on earth, and we still get a “secret invasion” show revealing how Fury found out about it, as the final lead-in to the movie?
Or, we have it in the movie, and it “rhymes” with the slow act of the first avengers movie where they fix the quinjet for like 45 minutes?
This is a masterpiece and got me so excited for something I'll never see.

Awesome. You will have critics, as always, but as you went on, I saw this phase 4 in my mind's eye and I hate that the phase 4 we've gotten didn't really elicit any kind of serious committment from me and this video which asks me to see most of the possible reality in my mind's eye, has made me nostalgic for something I mostly never saw.

i hope this concept is canonized by revealing that a Kang has been pruning timelines where the Avengers continue to operate after bringing everyone back post blip. So what we are seeing is the disjointed version that he created. MCU always has cool stuff happening off screen between movies (like Steve, Sam, Natasha, and Wanda on the run for 2 years while Rhodey, Tony, and Vision were operating as Avengers) so in a similar manner, once they defeat Kang they can restore the original timeline and pretend there was a cool Avengers 5 movie that we never got to see and going forward the new squad can be a team of heroes that banter with each other (Shang Chi, She Hulk, Ms Marvel, Hawkeye, etc)
This was, in some universe, the perfect phase.
Why are you so much better at this than Marvel's creative team? This is the story I wanted.
