Just my gut feeling, but I think there's no chance this ends with any kind of major intervention from an Avengers team. There may be a cavalry moment where other mutant survivors pitch in, but resolving these mutant problems with a human super team undercuts the entire narrative.

I think the reason Jubilee doesn't use her full powers against Roberto is because neither Jubilee nor Roberto are actually trying to hurt each other. Roberto even apologizes to Jubilee a couple times for hurting her. They are not intent on killing each other like enemies in a war. They still have feelings for each other

The only annoying thing about the episode was the team selection. Why send a guy with metal bones to fight a guy who controls all metal? Cable on a mission with someone he hates? Jubilee to fight a guy she likes? Jean to fight Mr. Sinister who recently kidnapped her? I know they did it for more interesting character interactions but they should've given a reason for the teams basically being set up to fail.

I really hope they do what they did for the 90s X-men to the 90s spidermen. There was so much story to tell... and now i bet they can!

Episode kind of doesn't make sense with one major flaw. If Morph can take and use any persons powers, not just mutates aka when he became Morph Hulk he could have just turned into Magneto or maybe even Bastion.

I loved the line between Storm and Jean in this episode before they battle, it shows so much clever writing and respect the show has for these characters and their abilities.

Magneto destroying the Earth's magnetic field is a much bigger problem than electronics not working anymore. The magnetic field shields the Earth from the sun's radiation. Magneto is basically going to kill all life on the planet and make the Earth uninhabitable.

I'm confused by Morph. What are the limits of his powers?

Precisely why the MCU is primed for groups like New Warriors and Champions. The Avengers arena is primed for West Coast avengers, Young Avengers and even The Initiative which could reignite a second round for the Superhero Registration Act which creates room for the govt to get more involved with The Thunderbolts. Once the mutant faction gets folded in, you've got the blue and gold x teams and the govt stepping in again with X-Factor with X-Force coming along as a freedom fighter strike squad. This stuff really does write itself if marvel were to just put the pieces together in a logical fashion.

About half through, I could tell it was going in the path of the Fatal Attractions story, but I was just in shock when they actually pulled the adamantium out, even if I knew it was coming.
