I’m doing my best to upload every fight from every episode! Rating:TV-PG Provider: Discovery Channel WATCH BATTLEBOTS ON FRIDAY AT 8PM ET ON DISCOVERY OR 9PM ET ON SCIENCE CHANNEL
Uppercut is just vertical Tombstone. I.e. a perfected Tombstone. Ray Billings biggest weakness was always the recoil from his own attacks. But as bots like Yeti & Minotaur demonstrated with their drum spinners, directing the rotational force upward cancels out the recoil damage by bracing the bot against the ground.
This was the battle that put uppercut solidly on my radar. It was the first established bot he severely beat up, as we found out many were about to follow. After the 2019 season uppercut has become my favourite bot out of the entire competition, never a boring fight with that beast.
In the past couple seasons, I didn't like skorpios as much since he just felt like a defence only sawblaze. They just relied on shoving the opponents into the side and perhaps get their saw on a single wheel. This season however, they finally have what I would call a legitimate weapon, so my previous distaste for it is gone. Uppercut however is in my eyes the ko king of battlebots. If you look at the average amount of punishment it deals per win, I think uppercut is the most destructive bot in the field.
First he beat me in Yoyo
Now he beats me in Robots
Uppercut really is my kryptonite
I’m sure you’ll get revenge someday (: Love your robot and team, definitely rooting for you this season!
Hey skorpios! You did a amazing job by stopping tombstone spinner
At least it wasn't marbles.
On the plus side, it's not often you get to relax on the beach inside the battlebox
im a fan of uppercut

Couldn’t have said it better my self
They also designed it to land properly as much as possible even when it does get thrown around
Deep six:hold my beer
Exactly you nailed it
True, uppercut is the perfected version of Monsoon.
Skorpios was the writing on the wall for Sawblaze's fate in the next season
2020
Funny you should say that, since Scorpios looks incredibly similar to Sawblaze, and Uppercut looks incredibly similar to Monsoon
Exactly.

1:42 that guy mimicking the ref in the background I thought he was on team uppercut lol
i just saw lol
Lmao
Weird to think that Skorpios would go from getting KOed by a mere rookie to defeating tombstone the very next season.
It never got KO’ed by a rookie but yes it could definitely beat tombstone
@@zedlav915 uppercut hasn't ko'ed tombstone.
Scorpio has though
@@chickens-yt Though, Uppercut has never fought Tombstone so................
@@zedlav915 It did, actually. First by Black Ice in season 2, then Uppercut right here.
That guy next to Alex Hatori having a John Reed moment at 0:23: wait for the hit.
Allex hattori was a yoyo champion i didn't recognize him
Great punch, Uppercut!
God I love both of these bots so much, and they're both super terrifying in the most recent season too :D

@@Olav_Hansen Agree 100%

Do you know what all that stuff on the ground is?
It’s foam from inside Uppercut’s tires which were punctured at 0:15
@@zedlav915 Thanks. Wasn't sure.
What's all the dust spraying everywhere?
Foam from uppercut’s wheels
@@zedlav915 What's the purpose of the foam? From past fights I assumed all bots had solid rubber tires
@@agentwashingtub9167 I have no idea… nowadays they don’t have this foam in their tires though
@@zedlav915 That makes sense. It's probably a lot to clean up and if they leave it in the box, it might affect the other fights that night
sawblaze have a chinese asian dude. thats good. but Uppercut has a chinese asian dude who went to MIT.
0:15 what is that?
Foam from uppercut’s tires
@@zedlav915 ok ty
Crack
sawblaze lost...
WHY WOULD SKORPIOS MAKE A DIFFERENCE????
This was a season before they fought Sawblaze
