With Battlebots 2019 well over and done with, let's take a look at the Top 20 moments from this year's series
I love when Ray Billings is fiddling with the sticks on his controller, meanwhile tombstone is ENGULFED in flames. Yeah, that's not gonna work too well.
Rotator beating Tombstone was my favorite moment too. Truly an iconic moment in Battlebots history.
Also, I can't believe I forgot how powerful Will Bales' speech was until this video.
I can compare it to when T-Mius took out Hazzard in the OG Battlebots on Comedy Central.

I feel like Free Shipping doesn't get enough credit. Especially when it comes to durability and entertaining fights. I mean that thing can get flipped over, tossed around, get torn apart, and it spits flames and lights itself on fire as if that's how it regenerates health and keeps going for more. Not to mention it hasn't had a dull fight yet. Every fight you see is very entertaining. And it's only knockout was because it got thrown out of the arena.
Agreed, it may not be the champion or even penultimate champion but that team delivered every single time.

6:30 and this is why I love blacksmith
In that last hit vs Minotaur you can really see just how powerful the weapon on Cobalt is, when you slow the footage down you see that Minotaur only tipped Cobalt backward after this Cobalts weapon connects with the wall takes a huge bite out of it and lauches Cobalt upwards. there are only 3 frames total between their weapon hitting the wall and Cobalt being off Camera the fact that it did this and landed seemingly undamaged is also incredible.
Minotaurs weapon actually hit the bottom edge of Cobalts wedge and flung them into the wall. Cobalts weapon then hit the wall and redirected the force upward and added more force to it. These combined forces help create such a huge dent in the steel wall and helped Cobalt get lots of air. Cobalt did not really have room to fit between Minotaurs weapon and the wall so it created a lot of strain on Minotaurs weapon and that's why it never really spun up after that. That's also why you see Minotaur fly back when the launch happens.
When hypershock beat Valkyrie I yelled out “THE OLD HYPERSHOCK IS BACK!!!”

Hypershock is one of my favorites, and when the robot is working well, it’s awesome to watch.

Actually even though this is a joke lol, I still think it is entirely possible for biteforce to be beaten. I would like to see a rematch with tombstone as the bar that Ray used was cracked from the previous fight against gruff. This caused the bar to split in two and the piece that flew off actually hit tombstone's tire. I also think that a few hard hitting, durable bots might be able to take out bite force but props to Paul and his team for creating such a monster machine
@@hi1059 i think tombstone isn't the only one that could beat bite force but i think minotaur could hold its own unless bite force still has his flipper arm and his vert spinner
I personally love hypershock. He was my favorite bot from season 2 after the rake as a main weapon. But even then it was one of the best battle bots ever. I truly love this bot it has taken my heart from tombstone. ( It needs a redesign. Personally two blades would be insane. One clockwise and the other counter clockwise.) But overall I haven't been caught up with the seen till now and I absolutely love uppercut
My top 9 from Battlebots 2019:
9. Faruq's tantrum. My Mom and I just sat there laughing at that.
8. Nightmare returning. When I saw their picture on the website I was surprised and excited. Mammoth just tossed it over and that's it, kinda sad.
7. Blacksmith in the top 16. I was surprised seeing them in the playoffs. Not only that but they WON!
6. BIte Force destroying Tombstone. I knew it was over the moment that wheel flew off. If you watched the replay, you could see that it wasn't even the wheel that Bite Force was closest to. I think this also caused problems in their Re:Mars Fight against Witch Doctor as the entire wheel section fell out.
5. Minotaur's comeback. Going 0-2 in the beginning, entering the desperado but losing the finals, Destroying Shatter and Hydra but losing to Death Roll. It even surprised me a little, but hearing that drum spin up against Lucky made me know the old Minotaur's back.
4. Hydra Splitting War Hawk. That's some serious power for a flipper.
3. Deep Six killing Nelly, Axe Backwards, themselves (twice), the test box, the lights, and the floor. When that weapon spins, something gets killed.
2. Rotator beating Tombstone. Lets be real, if Tombstone didn't catch on fire, this fight would have been way less entertaining.
1. Witch Doctor giving Gigabyte flight lessons, nearly getting knocked out (twice), and almost beating Bite Force. Witch Doctor really impressed me this year.
Kinda sad Icewave wasn't in this. They're my favorite bot.
That drum spinner is often compared to a Jet engine.

I’ve watched like 3 hours of battlebots CZcams and this is the first video that actually shared enough info to make me feel like I’m a fan despite never watching the show.
Super surprised how many dislikes this video has. I thought this was a really well done and edited video. A little monotone, but it didn’t take too much from the video.

I have never screamed that much in my life but when Witch Doctor came back to life 12:40 I LOVED that episode

When I had gotten into battle bots I was a massive fan of Bronco and tried to watch as many battles as I could but I had forgotten about battle bots for a couple of years and I remembered it so I decided to watch this and I’m being caught up using these vids

13:55 that height was actually mostly caused by cobalts weapon hitting the rail, you can even see the cut it left

Ribbot (mention that he changes his head depending on who he’s fighting (he had a blue head when taking in Overhaul, AB’s a black head when taking in Sawblaze))
The part where Faruq throws a tantrum when introducing Tantrum makes me laugh to oblivion

I do think he would have won if the criteria was the same as it was today (for the criteria it was judged by it was the right call) and also was a beta design that had issues in each fight. Obviously they were ironed out next season but it’s just become so unstoppable now it’s amazing how well Paul’s Fine tuned the design

I'd actually pick Rotator vs. Death Roll as the #1 fight. That was the ass-kicking of the year IMO, followed closely by that fight between Witch Doctor and Gigabyte.

This 2020 season better have Tombstone take on Blacksmith. It needs to happen. Sure, we all know how it'll end...but, still, it'll still be interesting to watch, considering how durable Blacksmith is now.
