I just found you! I'm so excited to try this because I LOVE potatoes. I gained so much weight when I hit menopause and gained even more when I tried keto. I'm in Ontario and we can't find organic potatoes either. Our regular potatoes are from PEI and they are always terrible especially this time of year. New sub!
Most of the potatoes that are here in the stores are from Idaho. Idaho potatoes are not always great depending upon how the store stores them. I wish I could figure out when to go to the store and buy potatoes. When they are in season. When they are fresh. I guess we all need to buy a CSA of organic potatoes. I joined your FB group today. Your new place looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing the house with new furniture. My mother hates potatoes! I didn't realize anyone could. Maybe that's why I like your videos so much! I started the Potato reset today made French toast stick today DELICIOUS 😋
On top of which organic produce is still sprayed with different pesticides so it’s not as big of a difference as the marketing industry makes it look like. I’m in the same position: where I live, organic produce is extremely expensive and very bad quality because the price is so prohibitive that nobody buys it hence making it stand in the stores for too long time. This also disincentives grocery stores to sell it: it ends up going to waste and they lose money.
That's right... organic ≠ pesticide free. It's a huge misconception.

I used a packet of gravy powder from the store lol. But I do love the mushroom gravy from The Potato Reset book. Or McDougall's Golden Gravy is a good one too (it's on his website)
Now I know that I'm not the only one that hates peeling potatoes... Especially the little ones... ouch!

I had a limited time to do grocery shopping yesterday so I raced around grabbing a ton of veg for me and cat food for my 3 babies. Got home, no potatoes. NO POTATOES! Or toilet paper, lol.

If one has the patience and time for it, sure! Honestly, if I adhered to this rule, I would have given up ages ago. I hate peeling. Besides, the potato skins hold most of the nutrients, including fibre potassium, and vitamin C. It would be nice if we could just get the masses to stop using damn pesticides

Baked potatoes lately make my house smell like burning electronics and plastic. 100% done eating them.

I refuse to peel potatoes with a peeler lol. I use a knife.
