I literally waited till I could sit down, holed up way in the back of my firestation, nobody around, full screen, volume up with headphones to watch this gem of a video....Thank you!
glad that you got to appreciate the sound!
@@legendarymotorcar yes!
Sounded bad ass through my sound sound system!!!🏁🤗
Awesome !! Be safe, and as always .. thank you for doing what you do !! Hope to never need such assistance, but when I do .. thank God for people like you. Meanwhile, back to the Lamborghini !!
@@jamiecampbell3068 thank you and your welcome>
That paint POPS. That has to be one of the best looking Countachs I've ever seen.
good on ya for bringing back the famous Tom Hnatiw line: "do you need a car like this? but do you want a car like this?"
Great car. Great experience. Great "Do androids dream of electric sheep" reference.
I don’t think it was mentioned in here but this is actually a lowbody series 2. So even more special! Only 105 made of the series 2 and 50 of the series one. So rare and beautiful especially in Blu Acapulco! What a car, great video will watch this one again and again!
I guess I probably should have mentioned that eh!
@@legendarymotorcar Lowbody cars are my favorite and to me the most fun to drive! Love the high winding light feel, feet over the front wheels like you said! How can you not smile when you drive this car! Great video, nice job!
Absolutely love that blue with the tan interior and gold wheels. What a beauty! Can't get enough of seeing this Lambo. That sound of 12 revving high ! 😍😎😎😎😎 And great history too
It's gorgeous.
I had 3 posters of a white, black and a red Countach as well as a Testarossa and a red Vector W8 on my wall as a kid. The posters of the black and red Countach were big 5 foot long posters that were on the wall above my bed. Kids don’t have posters like that anymore because they’re spoiled with Instagram and CZcams and can see cars like that whenever they want. The only way I saw exotic cars as a kid was in movies or magazines.
great observation!
"You couldn't even order a Coffee in this thing!" Yeah, I'm pretty sure that american drive thru culture was very important to Marcello Gandini and a huge factor to take into consideration when desingin supercars in Italy in the early 70's. 😂
The window was designed only for the payment of tolls, back in the day.
I mean really you could open the scissor door and still get your coffee, they just have to lean down a little.
@@Win7ermu7e But then comes the regular cliché from the journalists that there isn't any cupholder even more there's no place to put your coffee cup at all.
*No sane Countach driver would ever have coffee while driving this thing. The car itself is a cappuccino caffeine-machine filled with adrenaline.*
You want to eat and drink sit at a cafe table. You want to experience pure automotive pleasure then just drive IT!!!!
I lived in the same building and parked across from this car for over 10 years. I have a bunch of photos of it. I'd chat with the owner often as he was doing his maintenance etc. My balcony was high above the garage doors and the sound of the car bouncing off of the buildings was amazing and unmistakable. I'd run out just to see it every time. It never got old lol
Small world! Love the extra chapter you've added to this car's story, thanks for sharing
@@legendarymotorcar it's nice to see it transformed back to it's original colour. That was a surprise!
WOW! Lucky guy! Any chance of sharing the picures?
@@dzefrejrulez Unfortunately I'm away and don't have access to them right now
@@andrew671 That's all right, i understand. But If you find some time one day, i'd be more than happy to see them, probably other people too :) Btw there's a Countach register website, where you can find a lot of information and pictures about Countach cars, i guess you could even share your story and the pictures as a part of the history of this particular example :)
Periscopio and 400s are the only countach models I like too. Great colour combo
Agreed, the countach is so much better with the small bumpers and none of the bolt on body cladding
YOUR SHOW NEEDS TO COME BACK..... WHAT A GREAT TEST DRIVE....
If Thomas Magnum had a kid......lol.....I was a fan of the tv show.....funny seeing you all grown up now.....
One of the best looking cars out there this is just my opinion.
That thing is beautiful 😍 might be the greatest colour combo, the countach will always be my dream car.
I agree!
A friend ownes Jacques season winning snowmobile from 1974, nice man.
What a cool piece!
I drove a Countach across the US back in the day. It was quite comfortable!
You have a lowbody car, the real Countach. People complain about the high body cars that were redesigned.
This guy's so young, it's like watching a variation of Ferris Bueller's Day Off 🙂 I love the body colour and finish! Those gold rims are awesome too and go perfectly with that blue! Great example. Great video. Thanks Ferris!
Anytime!
I'm no Countach expert but this car with its condition and provenance has to be a top five valuable Countach in existance.
The content and quality of the videos is ON POINT and really transitions well from the LMC DCG!
I'm sure your dad is really proud of you and your team.
We need you and other young people like you to keep the hobby in existance.
Sharing this with friends now!
Thanks Clavin, stay tuned for more unique videos!
A big thank you for NOT adding a stupid soundtrack during the drive. I had an eargasm... 🤣
Car audio is so important, a lot of channels don't realize!
I miss the TV old dream car garage show , but these videos help a little.
Nice job quoting Tom Hnatiw, "do you this car...."
Thanks! be sure to subscribe we'll have some new content weekly
Gary...you have to get those roads in Halton paved to better appreciate the Lambo!! Great job!
No kidding!
Always loved the Countach. Still have the ALPINE poster with the black Lamborghini Countach on it. I had it since I was a teenager and I'm 52. Awesome car.
One can really appreciate the utter rawness of the Countach here. Nice to see it brought back to its original delivery colors. The exhaust sound it fantastic, the joy of the drive......sublime.
Growing up in Italy, we also had this poster on the wall :) The first time I see a real Lamborghini was when I went to the US, never in Italy.
I recognize 15th Side road and its awesome blind S bends. Commuted to work on that road for 25 years!
I’m from Jacques Villeneuve home town and you got your story completely wrong, back in the day , he went to Montréal to buy a Pantera De Tomaso and found a slidly used red Countach that he bought on the spot cash and he famously drove back on highway 40 flat out all the way to his house . He tell the story in a documentary in french
That's absolutely the BEST video about the Countach I've ever seen!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
(I'm from 69, and that you said about the 2 posters... that was me, you made those feelings came up again. Thank you friend, great job as it came from heart to heart).
That's Francisco, a X1/9 owner (another Gandini/Bertone ;-) from Spain.
Ah, the sounds of the 80's.
Had this car on my wall as I'm a 70's baby.
I love it where the Countach is getting a second look and some well earned driving respect. I remember too many reviews from the 1980's were the editors bitched about the car... ...driving in and around town without the fluids all warmed up. Griped about the very heavy steering, stiff clutch, and poor visibility. It's like they never got it out on the open road. While the very definition of an exotic car, I've come to see it now as a pretty reasonable GT with it's acceptable ride, good fuel range (big gas tank), and a trunk you can pack two extended weekend bags. Not bad at all!
Beautiful colour
That's a smooth looking paint surface. It's weird that many ppl have never seen one of these in person but know exactly what it is! Thank you for the flash back to the 80's.
These remind of Vipers of the 90s. Just pure drivers cars and hot rods above all. If driven by capable driver they can be hustled at impressive speeds on the twisties. These cars are much more rewarding than any modern supercars.
Series 2 Lowbody LP400s >>> The greatest version Lamborghini ever produced. Thanks for protecting her!
👍
Remember seeing the first one ever sold in North America.Around 1976 it sat in Carter GM Burnaby BC showroom on Lougheed highway.
It was orange with white interior and Steve Milne of West Vancouver purchased it and drove it down to LA so Road and Track could test it
A Beautiful Fantastic Fabulous Wonderful Supercar Lamborghini Countach 1989 Driving Machine.
I agree with him. This is the best Countach model. No Side strakes, no big spoiler. Just the unique beauty of its shape is all you need. It only has about 350 HP which is nowhere the Lambo's of today, but it's certainly fast enough for an afternoon Joy ride.
Interesting front hood emblem. The gold trim looks thicker than normal. Beautiful car.
Awesome as always, Gary. Like someone else mentioned, I waited to have the time and space, then I cranked this video and smiled for 10 minutes, and not just at your Earnhardt 'stache. 2 thumbs up. And love the homage to Tom.
Glad I found this channel, used to love the TV show. Great review! Oh.....I didn’t have the Farrah poster but I did have the Countach.....I had my priorities right 😉
The interior is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 nicest countach I’ve seen
Nothing is better than the 288 Ferrari GTO you guys had upstairs in your showroom but this is damn close.
a very 80s car as well!! both tough lookin
Awesome video! It brought back some great memories. Thank you!😎
Had both posters as well. Thanks for posting, keep em coming!
Gary, you hit it right on the head with the 2 posters!! 👍 I’ve always wondered: “If only!!” 😂 (the car, of course) 🤣
That is the most beautiful LP400 I've ever seen. Every aspect of this Lamborghini Countach is pure car perfection.
A car like nothing else on the road period! I have a 1:24 scale Bburago '88 Countach, made in Italy and it's a pure delight to have. Sure it's not the most detailed model of a Countach but it sure has that WOW factor. Loved this video of a beautiful blue Lamborghini!!!
Iconic at any scale
Apparently a fine winter driver.
great video Gary keep them coming
Thanks featuring this gorgeous vehicle 👌🏻
MY FAVORITE CAR IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!
As a general rule of thumb I despise gold wheels but I must say on a dark blue lambo they are beyond stunning. Good luck with the sale guys 👍.
Farrah and the Countach, yep! Great video, much enjoyed!
Absolutely perfect
Love your enthusiasm! I'd be just as excited ;-)
LOL at CZcams for handing me a Nissan Sentra ad in the middle of this video. :D
How did I not know about your channel? Been to the showroom a couple of times (back when you had the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame collection on view, or part of it at least), and seen Peter and Gary on track plenty of times. Instant subscribe! :)
Thanks for the support Richard!
I really appreciate this review. The unadulterated Countach's are really timeless. I also love the wider tire bigger bore (sans wings and other tacky add ons) versions. The Webber breathing intake certainly sounds like the holy-hound that it is. Very fun seeing the exotic in a pragmatic Canadians able hands and on less than ideal Northern roads, the beast looked happy - Thank you!
When sportscars demanded SOMETHING of you to drive them.
Great job.
There is no denying that it looks incredible. Like a supercar should. The blu acapulco paint also looks very special. All that said, I drove a Diablo VT and that wasn't great to drive and the air conditioning didn't work well. In my opinion the Huracan Performante is such a great car looking car but also the first Lamborghini you can use regularly.
You Guys are the BEST!🇨🇦
wow..that sound!!
Gary, you are such an old soul . I can see your pops years ago and the genuine excitement you show, your car knowledge is awesome. Ok , you have drivin everything, give me either your favorite or top 2 cars you ever drove. Fast, slow, just your personal favorite. It was 1 degree in ill today in US, but you motivated me to take out my 69 l88 corvette, even if some salt on roads. Paint job is incredible on that. I keep laughing while looking up and seeing that stash... lol what do all the guys at the shop think? Inc dad? Great video, keep them coming..cheers Dan ..
Hey thanks for kind words Dan! man top 2 cars change for me all the time but i'd have to say the Zonda R, and the flip top prototype 427 cobra. Love to hear that you took the L88 out, probably made some good power in that weather! PK would probably rather see it go he thinks it's ridiculous... cheers!
Love this video.
The Icon of sports cars !!!
Love the countach. That is a stunning color.
Gorgeous LP400! The LP500 is still one of my all-time favorites. I had the Alpine poster on my wall as a kid back in the 80's. If I had a nice garage, and the money, hell yes I would own one! NEED it? Sometimes. WANT it? ALWAYS!!!!
The "Hot Rod" exotic...and STILL my favorite..;)
the hot rod exotic is right!
love it, Its an automotive icon, the blue is beautiful!!!
What a cool channel! - happy i just found it. best regards, a new UK subscriber!
Ohh!! Didn't know of the other Jacque. I watched Jacque win the 97 World Championship and heard of, his dad, Gille.
Thanks for the video. That countach looks sic!!
Ahhh memories. Awesome.
Awesome ride! Love the color and that engine music oh yeah!
Great car. Need to now do the Ferrari Testarossa that Legendary just got in. It could be 80’s throw back week
you got it!
Great commentary and that Lamborghini is to die for. 👍
So well done!
Beautiful car and great video.
Great job, love the car , do you guys still have that 1967 Big Block Corvette, love the sound of that side exhaust . Really enjoyed watching Tom and your dad >>> That Tom was a funny guy
love it ...and great colour combo...also thank you for showing me roads where the tarmac is worse than the UK! 😃
That color combo is perfection.
right!?
So awesome
Great job!
Gary, Love the covid stash!
Gotta do more of this. Miss LMC TV.
See ya next week!
Great review....your enthusiasm is contagious!!! Bravo!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Looking forward to the next video
Absolutely beautiful.
I spent so much of80s looking at pics of the Countach that it comes as a surprise sometimes to see some one actually drive one .. especially one that looks and drives this well
Quite a satisfactory test and video.Congratulations wonderful job.
Hey thanks!
Beautiful
Great vid!!! Well done....
His Uncle was actually called Jacques Sr., or Jaquo, or mostly Uncle Jacques. He was a racing legend in his own right.
That blue is perfect!
Super review, thanks!
Thank you for tuning in!
Nice peace! I miss the show on American TV!
Good video, awesome car
❤️the sounds of that V12 👍🏻👏🏻😎ride 🍻🇨🇦
That front Emblem surround is awesome
That countach looks good...nice color combo...
Awesome review!

Pure art.
Beautiful machine very lucky man to be able to drive that
Great video and content! Well done!
