    Thank you. We have a QX60 with the right signal bulb that went out today. I can do this myself. Even used your Amzn link for the replacement.

    Hi, I like your content on your channel. I was wondering do you have a video on changing the high mount brake light. If not, have you ever changed one, because I have no idea on how to do it. On my vehicle the high mount light went out and I can not find any information on it. Thank you for your time.

    • @NexusAuto

      Thanks, I appreciate that!
      Unfortunately, I don't have a video on how to change the high mounted brake light, and I haven't done it myself. I can tell you that you do need to take off all the upper interior trim on the inside of the trunk lid, as you have to get to the nuts that hold the spoiler on and take those off. You would then have to disconnect any wiring and the washer fluid hose, and gently pry the spoiler off the back of the car, from the top. You'll then get access to the HMBL nuts, so you can take those off and take the Brake Light out.
      I wish I had a video to show you, but that's the process in a nutshell.

      It should be the same procedure. It is a little tighter, but the same.

    Is this approach accurate for a model year 2015 QX60?? Repair was saying they might need to take the bumper off......$350 repair to replace the bulb??

    • @NexusAuto
      @NexusAuto  Před 21 dnem

      Yep, this should be accurate for a 2015 MY. You shouldn't need to take off the front bumper to change that bulb!

      Hi. Sorry, I don't think I can help here. I double checked the service info, in case there was any changes, and for 2018, it should be very similar, just twist and remove. I am not sure why it is stuck, and since I am not there to observe it directly, I could not give confident advice. Sometimes, these bulbs get stuck. It happened on quite a few vehicles. I had to use a pliers to help twist the housing. You can try that, but be careful not to damage the bulb plug or wiring. Other than, I could not help further. Sorry I could not

    What led did you use? Do you know what ones are compatible?

    • @NexusAuto
      @NexusAuto  Před 4 lety

      It uses a PY21W LED bulb. I think most PY21W led bulbs should be compatible. You will also need LED load resistors as well...50w 6ohm resistors, to prevent a fast flash.

    • @NexusAuto
      @NexusAuto  Před 4 lety +1

      Unless it is an LED upgrade, not sure why you would need to see the before and after. In any case, I did not actually need to change my bulb, as it was working. So the bulb would look the same. I made the video to show people how to do it.
