Thank you for watching our Infiniti QX60 exterior mirror replacement. We normally work on cars that need a replacement, but we have never worked on a QX60 before. We thought there might be some folks out there who want to take on this job but aren't sure how. Replacing the side view mirror for the QX60 is pretty easy. This side view mirror is not much different from just about any other mirror. We did have to remove the door panel but that was pretty easy to do. The best part is, you could probably do it in half the time it took us. If there is anything else you would like to see, please let us know in the comments.
TOOLS NEEDED:
You will need a flat-head screwdriver, a Philips screwdriver, and a 10mm wrench or socket wrench. We recommend that you use a plastic panel clip removal tool instead of the flat-head screwdriver.
The flat-head can scratch the leather on your door panel if you are not careful.
PROCESS:
On most side view mirror replacement jobs, you should remove the interior cover piece first. However, this cover piece extends behind the door panel, so we have to take the door panel off. The bolts for the door panel are behind the door handle and on the armrest. There are 3 bolts total and are fairly easy to access. To remove the door panel, pop it off from the bottom first and work your way up. Once the door panel is loose, you can pull it up to remove it. Now you can pop off the interior mirror cover to expose the nuts. There are 3 nuts and your 10mm socket wrench will remove the nuts. Take off the nuts but hold the mirror just in case it wants to drop down and hit your door. Unplug the electrical wire to the mirror and dismount the mirror. Hopefully, you have the correct mirror to install because this mirror has a lot of different options. The installation process is very easy, just work your way backward. Mount the mirror and plug it in. Check the functionality of the mirror before you completely install the mirror and door panel. Make sure everything works like the signal, mirror, power fold, etc. Once you know the mirror functions properly, secure every nut and bolt. You've completely replaced your mirror, congratulations!!

Great video: I was able to replace my broken mirror with a new one I got from eBay.
Only tip for the replacement: The 3 screws that hold the plastic panel on the door (9:41) have different threads. Double check them after removal to avoid damage when putting them back.

Can you do a video showing how to take off the cover and change the signal light on that same mirror? We ran into a side wall and the cover and blinker got damaged. So if I dont need to change out the whole thing that would be cheaper and great. Thanks

Hi. Have you guys installed the sequential mirror lights with DRL? They are the same as the q50/q60 lights. I have it installed but can't figure out which wire to tap into for the DRL power.

@@ReveMoto it's from ebay and they don't usually come with instructions lol. I was able to get it to turn on but after a day the windows wouldn't work properly. I had to replace the whole window switch. I just need to figure out the correct wrie to tap in.
@@paulo.8085 We're definitely not good at wiring, haha. We have installed grille lights for a Tacoma and we had ground the wire and we inserted a new fuse.
