    Thats a good looking bike. So much storage on it. The little leg flap thing was cool for more airflow. That guy dumping the bike in front of everyone, man that sucks.

      Thanks yeah the storage is amazing. He got lucky that he was at parking lot speeds and didn't get hurt and the bike only got a scratch on the exhaust pipe.

    Bike looks and rides awesome. I ended up going with a Challenger though.
    You should have taken her on the highway and give her the beans. No worries, they have GPS trackers on those bikes at demo days. They know where they are.

    Should keep one Indian model with air cooling and optional full valenced fenders and traditional paint scheme. Maybe a traditional looking, simpler, smaller, much lighter model looking like the 40's Sport Scout, very little electronics. It may be that changing international emission control requirements are driving cooling system requirements.

    • @RideAboutNow
      @RideAboutNow  Před 2 lety

      Ya I would like to actually have this one I Test rode as a second bike in the garage it was very comfy. The super chief I rode was very good as well. Small bike with a huge punch and some amenities like cruise control and saddle bags. Could be on the emissions part for example the EU is pretty strick there.

    The reputation is that Indians are better bikes than the HD's and they also give more on the standard models in terms of technology, etc than HD.

    • @RideAboutNow
      @RideAboutNow  Před 5 měsíci

      Performance wise I will give Indian bikes that. But as far as quality of the bike I will have to give that to Harley. When it comes to standard tech I give that to the Indian as well but if you notice their bikes have been slightly higher priced than the Harleys. But these days they both cost way too much imo.

      @RideAboutNow  Před 2 lety

      I do too, especially since my last bike had side opening saddle bags and everything would just fall out around the straps. Suspension was very good and comfortable. I'm sure it had adjustable rears. I was thinking Honda PC 800.

    • @RideAboutNow

      Oh I bet. But I will.say that the Harley is more refined than the Indian. The Indian bikes have that raw power.

      @DJGENOTYPE Před 2 lety +1

      @@RideAboutNow Yeah, when I test rode the Harley, you can tell that it was a more refined raw bike. I did like it none the less. The only gripe I had about the Road Glide was the suspension. It felt like the front and rear were not on the same page and doing their own thing. But I sure there are aftermarket options to alleviate that.

    Fit and finish is horrible on that bike. The cap in flap on the top of the fairing would drive me nuts. The ones i have ridden always had little rattles in the fairing and the lines never lined up

    • @RideAboutNow
      @RideAboutNow  Před 2 lety

      Agreed. They have a bit to go on the fit and finish part but once they get there they will sell more bikes.

    • @DamonMcGruder
      @DamonMcGruder Před 2 lety +7

      The flap is not installed correctly which is why it’s off like that. It just needs to be adjusted. I own a 2020 and I broke mine and replaced it. If you don’t put the pin in all the way it will look like that. I have that white smoke… cause it SMOKES harleys😂

  • @snakebite6511
    @snakebite6511 Před 2 lety

    Its looks ok, but i really hate the dash set up and the mat colours are the same year after year after year. I was looking at a Chieftain & Challenger in August 2021 along with the Street Glide, i went with the Harley, i have 2 other Harley's also but to me it just felt better and looks better and i cant get over that dash, just ugly setup.

    • @RideAboutNow
      @RideAboutNow  Před 2 lety

      @@snakebite6511 i think never is a word that people should rarely use. You may be right, but who knows, a few years down the road indian may come out with a bike that has literally everything you wanted in a bike besides exhaust because we all know stock exhaust is always garbage due to EPA regulations. Would you turn that bike down just for the name? I used to feel the same about Harley because of their racist history, which is fairly recent, but then I said f*** it and rode one and now I'm trying to decide between 2 Harleys and 3 Indians. Gonna test ride them all to confirm which one fits me the best but like I said before, originally I said never, now not one, but two of their bikes are on my maybe list.
