    My dream cruiser bike!! I really like the Challenger, but the looks of the Chieftan just do it for me.

      Same here. I love everything about the Challenger except the looks.

      @@NoogaCowboy My mind keeps telling me to get the Challenger but my heart keeps saying chieftain or Springfield. I just can't get over the ugliness of the Challenger even though I know it's more bang for my buck and better tech.

    Great review. I think with these two bikes, Chieftain and Challenger, depends on which power plant you want. Pushrod verses overhead cam? Indian’s pushrod engine is pretty modern but looks retro. The overhead cam engine is a version of the 106 freedom with a Indian primary drive, refined modern engine with lots of power delivery in a smaller displacement. I think Indian has hit the mark offering these two bikes for the customers in the motorcycle world.

      I agree. Plenty of options for the customer. If only I could afford all of them.

      On the price thing. Always start with the base model and add the things that bring it up to the premium features. Take the challenger for example. The base model not much different then the dark horse or limited other than color options. You can add the touring upgrade and the bike is the same for way less. You have to live with the color, lol.

    Great review very helpful still a 116 chieftain engine in 30 yrs will be worth triple the challenger engine .Enthusiasts love simple air cooled American Muscle.

      I’m riding a Honda VTX 1300 as well and can’t decide on the Challenger or the Chieftan....

      Trading my vtx1300c in this weekend on either a challenger or chieftain. 🤘🏼😎

    Good review I rode both challenger and chieftain back to back several times different days and a couple things I didn’t like that drove me away from the challenger and end up buying the chiefrain, and just got cams done on my chieftain yesterday, the front wheel slightly comes up in first and second when you take off like crazy. Lol 🤙🔥

    Hilarious that he wouldn’t pick that color but his scout is almost the same identical color, lol.

    I test rode the roadmaster limited and I liked the feel better than the challenger. The bike felt raw and it pulled pretty good against the challenger.

    Do feel any heat coming from engine?

    • @NoogaCowboy
      @NoogaCowboy  Před 3 lety

      You can feel some heat. I was on the bike for about 20 minutes so not sure how it would feel on a longer ride. I don't think it would be an issue.

    Do it vibrate as bad as a Harley when sitting still?

    • @NoogaCowboy
      @NoogaCowboy  Před 3 lety +1

      Not at all. Less vibration with the Indian lineup.

    Nice color, vs challenger? Challenger better, but anyone would be very happy with this bike, chiften and challenger 👌👏👏👏👏👏
