Such respect. Coach, you made this so much more interesting by continually telling us how powerful and athletic Devon is. We all don’t have your perspective of having felt that strength first hand. We all know he is world class strong but knowing that from hearing it or reading it is not like experiencing it. This video showed how intelligent you grapplers are. You have perfected so many aspects of grappling that you knew that it is as important knowing what not to do as it is knowing what to do. With your Magnus Carlsen brilliance in end games your tactics were geared to foot locking Devon. You first made sure this giant didn’t head lock you or pick you up. Then, you had to roll around a bit until you knew you could lock on one of those paddles the rest of us call our feet. But, your constant respect for this great man and world’s best athlete was what made this video. “History’s Strongest Arm”. Great narration by a phenomenal martial artist.

There is a interesting legend about Hercules (you know the one) that as he was going to do one of his great acts he met in a village a man that claimed that he was the youngest son of Earth, as Earth the one that gave birth to the Titans fathers of Gods Earth, and Earth, his mother, gave him strength as long as his feat touched the ground (she wanted to protect her youngest kid) and so no one could beat him in a bare-hand fight, so naturally Hercules challenges him and they fight, now either their fight takes days and Hercules loses or he losses and stays at the village to challenge the last Titan again and again, and he losses all of those fights, at the end he figures that if the Titan takes strength from the earth he must cut that connection, so he lifts him up and starts hitting him with one arm as the other hold him up, cut from his mother help the Titan was no match for the demi-god and their fight ended. That legend somehow stuck to me, it made sense in a strange way, I could just picture a man who is strong and also knows how to use leverage with his grappling so well that he appears to everyone else as a unbeatable Titan, and a man really strong that figures that as long as he keeps him off ground most of his techniques are gone and its only a mater of punching him enough. You remind me that legend at the star of your video when you said that it would be bad if he lifts you up (paraphrasing), great video, great commentary.

Devon Larattt was in Canadian Special Forces and has some Martial Arts experience. If you have ever watched any of his arm wrestling videos, it will show you how much stronger he is than the average human being. He is actually a small guy in the Professional Arm Wrestling world. This is a guy who can beat "The Mountain" Hafthor Bjornson in arm wrestling and can defeat 2 men at once in arm wrestling. Hard to imagine the kind of strength this man has in his hands, grip, tendons, upper body. He can beat like 50 men in a row back to back in arm wrestling. Firas Zahabi must have some skills to be able to even survive against someone who is not only much larger than him, but is also very athletic and has a kind of superhuman strength that most people have never experienced and is hard to even imagine. Devon is also not a complete novice in grappling. For anyone who has seen the feats of strength and athleticism that Devon Laratt has displayed, this is impressive for Firas to even survive. Devon has defeated Denis Cyplenkov in arm wrestling who is truly a genetic freak. Devon Laratt is not just a big, strong guy you might see in a gym. He has done some pretty unbelievable things, so for jiu jitsu to be effective against him is impressive.
