*transitions to north south and whispers*: “I got your 6”
😂😂😂
I never thought I would see you here!
"i got your 9"
Thanks for the laugh, whoever you are...
More like “You are the 6 to my 9”
Holy crap this video was amazing. I was expecting just a roll no commentary no explanation no pausing no breakdown. He makes it so digestible and easier to learn from
That's why I mostly watch Jordan's videos, even when he is demonstrating drills, he gives real life examples of why and how they work. Super clear and easy to understand 🙂
It really helped me appreciate the skill of it.
This ^^ :D
The best BBJ channel on youtube. Keep this up!
BJJ

actually is! just needs more time and more people to find it and it'll blow up

One of the best places to train and roll in Canada 🇨🇦 ! Thanks again ! Round 2 next time I’m down 👊🏻
Can't wait man! And thank you for doing this with me. It's always nice having such a technical dance partner 👊
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu 🙌🏻
He's pretty good, I've only seen this video, but it's good! :D I'm 12 and train at SBG
@@awildswirl2641 nobody cares about your opinion kid
@@levelup2014 and nobody asked for your reply
It really is the little things that make a huge difference. That post roll guillotine breakdown was amazing, yet so simple. Thank you so much! Stay awesome 👊
Definitely - get Mr beast to come for a roll
Yes. A Black belt usually doesn't know more (technique wise) than a Purple Belt, but their timing, their eye for openings etc., is just so much better.
I'm a white belt and just started three days ago, thank you so much this helps a lot!
Happy to help, and glad you started training!
what belt are you now?
@@drialoves5013 got my two stripe about a month ago and I have 65 hours clocked in
Awesome breakdown. Life pulled me away from Jiu-Jitsu 7 years ago when I was a 4 stripe blue belt. I'm just now starting to re-enter the sphere, and am feeling very excited. This channel is a great addition to anyone's training, thank you Jordan. 👊🏻🤙🏻
How’s your bjj going now
4 stripe blue belt sounds like a mcdojo scammy thing to do... glad you're getting back into it though😊
First video of you I've seen, love the no-nonsense step by step real time commentary. Very refreshing and helpful for someone who doesn't practice BJJ.
Thanks Jordan, I’m learning so much by watching your rolls and post matches, so I can apply during my training and get advantage over some of my opponents. Thanks a lot sir.
man. the fact that you're so humble and grateful throughout your videos is top notch class. keep up the good work - love your post roll breakdowns where you demonstrate outside the roll session some key points. really helps.
my coach can't figure out how i'm getting better when i miss days or come late for the warmup, but a lot of it is your videos, so thank you!
It's cool but no realistic..Violence would win in this match not some technical slow motion stuff. I get the video but it's not realistic.
Thank you for these tutorials. Love the way they have evolved, this review of the guillotine at the end of this video being an example. Have watched all your videos multiple times! Thank you again 🙏🏽
I just saw my first roll breakdown of yours yesterday and instantly subscribed. You have a really informative and clear approach to your breakdowns that all belt levels can appreciate. I'm 47 and almost have a 5th stripe on my blue belt (yes, that's a joke), so I really look for clear instruction that will help me develop in a way that's smarter, not harder as parts of my body wont heal the same way as they did in my MMA days. Thank you again for all your work and the thoughtful approach you use.
Thank you for all of those videos.
I am a blue belt, almost 50, and I really appreciate the commented rolls. Helps a lot.
So glad I found this channel. I’d been considering continuing my white belt journey and getting back to rolling for years after getting out of the Army, but life has gotten in the way. I’m a super technical learner, and all of the visual explanations and showing the little modifications of each of position is a critical step for learning for me. Better yet, it’s convinced me that taking my daughter when she’s just a bit older will do her a major favor in life. Really appreciate the super tips and tricks!!
Hope you have had a good time sir, Good Luck!
Best video yet Jordan. Really appreciated watching that roll. The technical breakdown on the "arm in guillotine" is priceless!
I watch alot of jitz videos from Gracie to Marcelo, Chewjitsu, Eli Knight, Teach Me Grappling...I love em all and learn from all of them. I think I get the most out of your videos though. Great style and technical knowledge, enjoyable to listen to. You and Nikki are very much appreciated!!
Love the narration and the little hints/tips graphics that you put on at certain points - they're really useful 🙏
Enjoyed this a lot.
Professor Jordan, thank you so much for all the videos you've been making. I've been injured for a couple months and watching your videos have been really helping me keep my mind sharp. Your videos are different from what's out on you tube and I've been sharing your videos with all my friends. Keep up the great work.
Really appreciate you spreading the word man. Hope you heal up quick my friend!
The slow motion replays with good, in-depth explanations are really helpful for understanding the small details that matter so much in jiu jitsu. Would subscribe a thousand times over. Thank you.
Love all your videos. Thanks for putting them together, Jordan!
Is great to see you start standing up everytime and not dropping to your butt immediately like so many bjj people are doing. Great rolls and awesome instruction!
Thank you! I love wrestling. Glad I get to show case it 🙂
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu yes wrestling rocks in combo with bjj!
Wow, loved the clarity of the moves and commentary. It was useful seeing this against such a big guy who also has good technique and hugely appreciated the principles you included like ensuring I have my hips higher than his or the step over...Thnaks
Awesome!!!! LOVE the commentary!!!! Love the production!!!!
I really appreciate your take on teaching BJJ. I definitely feel like I learn more from rolling footage than I do from individual techniqies. Keep up the good work!
I love these narrated rolls! Such a good addendum to the technique tutorials that so many great instructors are posting all over social media; really gives a context for the different techniques we learn and when/how to use them when our partners try to resist and/or counter. Very well done!
Nice! Great observations
Keep the coaching videos coming! You do a great job of explaining technique and your video/audio presentation is ON POINT!!
Always love watching your videos! Thank you for sharing. It’s so nice for and experienced individual like yourself to share your knowledge with us.
We Love your Rolls. Great narration, fantastic filming and editing, overall great movement and live technique examples. Keep up the Great work.
Thanks you 🙏
Really appreciate your straightforward explanations of everything that is going on.
I don’t know if you do your own video/audio editing, or if you have someone on your team who takes care of that, but it really adds value to your videos. Thank you for all your excellent content! 👊🏽
Thanks man, I do it all myself. It's a lot of work so I'm happy to hear it's appreciated 👊
Bro!! Beautiful!! Absolutely beautiful! The roll, the commentary, the break down, everything!!
This is amazing, your honesty and transparency. Thank you for what you do.
I’m injured at the moment so your videos have been keeping me mentally sharp during recovery. Keep ‘em coming man! 👊
👊
Thank you Jordan for all of your videos, I really love your channel, I have been practicing Jiujitsu for 6 months now, and I am having the time of my life, my only regret is that I wished I would have started earlier, thank you for all of your videos again, your channel is what gave me the initiative to want to practice Jiujitsu.
Makes me happy to hear that man. Keep going! I appreciate the kind words 🙂
This is really really awesome content, Jordan, Thanks !
Incredible vid and incredibly helpful commentary. Props to Bobby as well.
I really love the rolling commentary with prioritizing and tips. Im a brown belt and struggle on the mats, especially with bigger or even just more athletic people. Your videos are very helpful. Watching you roll with Bobby was like watching a magic show. I couldnt believe how well you were able to do against that large of a purple belt that was very athletic and strong too. Every time he started to gain good positions you were able to address it before it got bad for you and reverse it. That was amazing. I cant seem to figure out how to do that. I feel like I should be able to but just cant. When this happens to me on the mats its very disappointing and discouraging. It makes me feel like I dont deserve my brown belt. I can stay safe from submissions a lot of times but Im not reversing positions and getting taps. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Javier; you’re far more experienced in jujitsu than I am but I would still like to offer you a suggestion. Find a partner that is less experience than you, someone that you can easily handle and practice the moves in this video one at a time. Repeat each one several times until you can feel it and do it without having to think about it too much.
Sometimes problems a student is repeatedly having are actually from a lack of live roll coaching. I.e. “ OK stop you, see what you did here,, instead you need to do this.“ “Now back up, I want you to do this to me five times in a row.”
@@drjimjam1112 thank you so much for the input. I really appreciate you trying to help me and ill take your advice and try it tonight. My coach does do that for me and also a handful of training partners. I just still struggle. I appreciate you trying to help me and your input very much, thank you.
If you got a brown belt it means you earned it! So, don't ever feel like you don't deserve it. Jiu Jitsu is about constantly learning. The chess game that never ends. Even some of the elite black belts talk about constantly learning new things. Bernardo Faria is always talking about this. I am a big guys so with my experience it seems that you need to find that go to from every position. I had a buddy with that same issue and we would roll because he wanted to figure out ways to counter big guy moves. We did this for 6 months until one day he was giving me a run for my money and started submitting me. I asked "what changed", and he said, he solely focused on escapes, and sweeps. Youtubing different ways to escape big men. Everything else just fell into place. Now I have to go back to the drawing board and figure out new techniques and reversals. You need to have fun rolling with big guys. They are the puzzle of technique, strength, and weight. I weigh 285 lbs. and all the black belts in my gym love rolling with me because of my athleticism for my weight. Don't get frustrated! Adapt, overcome, and succeed. Above all remember to have fun!
@@omaleymaldonado9801 thank you very much
Hey man wish I could give you some ground breaking advice but in reality it just takes time to become technical to a level where you can handle the big boys like this.
On top of technicality I also have the advantage of being pretty athletic and strong myself. I think even with my skill level, I'd have a tough time being as effective against the big boys if I didn't have the physicality too.
I wouldn't beat yourself up over it. If you do BJJ as a hobby you should be happy with hobbyist skills. I, and other high level blackbelts have dedicated our lives to this beyond hobby and more into obsession. That may sound harsh out if out of context, but it isn't meant to. It's like how I'm okay with not being world class at guitar even though I love playing. I haven't nor can i put in the hours to become elite at it.
But that doesn't stop me from loving playing. The difference in BJJ is that "losing" largely is an uncomfortable experience where you get beat up.
If you don't put that high level effort into becomimg high level I wouldn't worry about not being high level. I would just focus on becoming as good as you can be but accept there's limitations if you don't 100% dedicate yourself, which isn't for everyone.
Don't think that you don't deserve your belt either. I'm sure you do. Gotta trust your coaches judgment. I have students that feel the exact same way, at brown too, yet I'm proud of their skill and ability.
Hope that made sense 🙂
Post match breakdown is such a good idea, great content!
Thank you!
@@JordanTeachesJiujitsu you're really successful with guillotines, can you pls make a video for them like you did the arm triangle?
Amazing stuff brother 😁😁😁🔥 Thank you so much for this. I'm going for my 1st Bjj grading this month been training 8-9 Months. Amazing journey. Good to see great teachers like your self. I really appreciate it 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Super helpful! Subscribed. Keep it going!!
And still these post roll breakdowns are dope! 🔑🔑 gonna try your tips for the guillotine at practice tonight✊🏾
incredible how well you work together. Most of my experience with BJJ is two people working way too hard and neither getting anything out of it
Outstanding video! Both guys were brilliant!
I really like how you explained what you are thinking/doing during the roll, thanks a lot!
I love your channel and how well you commentate the matches, I did a ton of free form submission grappling growing up but always had a hard time explaining what I was doing to be successful watching your videos and commentary really has helped to bridge the gaps in my knowledge and better understand what I've been doing.
I'm really glad you've benefitted so much it. Means a lot to me 🙏
This has been the best jits video I’ve seen on CZcams in awhile. I love the voice over and the precise play by play
Great video; very smooth transitions. Excellent!
Would love to see a video in how you guys balance frequent training sessions with strength & conditioning since this is something many of us struggle with.
Amazing content as always!
Hey Jordan, love these Videos with post match breakdowns!
Just was asking myself since u seem to be a jacked dude as well, how many times a week you are on the mats and how many times in the weight room?
Greetings from Germany!
Hey man thank you! I train 6 sessions a week on average. I used to train much more more but realized I had over trained for years and years. I don't do a tonne of lifting anymore. Once a week on average. I'm just pretty lucky to have pretty good genetics for building muscle.
Great job Professor! Love the Insight you offered during the rolls, specific positions and transitional instructions. Liked and subscribed 🤎🤎🤎
Well done!! You are a great instructor. Please keep up the great work. Much respect.
I outweigh my wrestling coach by about 45 lbs, and I feel exactly like Bobby when we wrestle. This was an awesome video!
You know what's worse? lol
I'm a judoka. I'm 6'1, 245. My coach is 5'9, 180. He's also about... 30 years older than me....... dude is a grampa
He still throws me all the damn time.
Thanks for the arm in tip at the end. I feel that could be very useful for me...will try it out tomorrow for sure. I feel I am missing some bite in my guillotine as I fucus on pressing my chest to the opponent's back. Your detail osa little different and could make the difference...thanks again!
Really great video and breakdowns here Jordan. This has become by favorite channel to follow and I have noticed it has helped my game as well. Keep it up!
Great technical descriptions. Thank you.
It is borderline unbelievable how Jordan is able to beat larger opponents so easily.
Agreed. He’s a grandmaster
Haha thanks guys! Hopefully I can find some more big guys soon. I want some jacked 300lbers. Hopefully i can find some soon!

You are an apex predator on the mats 😱

great video man i love all the detail and breakdown
Your rolls are by far the greatest! You breakdown everything, thank you so much for the work that you do! Learning a lot from you!
As a 6 month white belt. I’m constantly the nail getting pounded in a gym full of savages (great guys tho). This is so helpful ! Thank you! I learned a lot from this video. Now to go apply:)
Happy to help! Hopefully you can be the hammer soon :)
Awesome roll. Why does he look like he's your buff older brother? 😆
Haha we do look a like
Thank you for the great videos! The guillotine detail at the end was very helpful

Awesome stuff again Jordan. I love the whole format. So helpful. And you are fun to watch you talented bastard!!😂
Solid video man, you've got a great way of explaining the techniques, truly enjoyed it :) 👊
Narrated rolls like this is the best freaking tool for getting all the "in between" stuff into your game. Thanks!
Great vid! Not sure what the algorithm did, but this popped up on my homepage, and I'm glad it did. Top notch production quality, and from Ontario as well! Great channel, subscribed right away
Awesome commentary man, I love the content!

Almost 50k subs! Keep going mate! My fav Jiu Jitsu channel. Thanks for another great video.
Thank you! So close to half way of my big 100k goal 😁
Awesome stuff! I like the detail you put into the rolls because it's always the details that I get hung up on. The way you stop your opponent from going to their back with the arm in guillotine was great. I'll have to work on that at open mat!
Great movements analisys! top notch content!
This is the first video of yours I've seen. But I'm immediately a huge fan of the channel. Love this
