    The way you get back to normal after having a baby is by raising that baby up to be a responsible, level-headed, and moral human being who will then move out and live their life in a way that you can be proud of and not have to stress over. The process will generally take 18+ years, rarely does it take less time to complete.

    My advice to 1st time parents: Find a trusted, reliable babysitter ASAP and take a few hours once or twice a week to spend “adult” time together (whatever that means to you). You’re still a married couple who needs intimacy to sustain your relationship through the tough times. A loving, committed couple is the best gift you can give your kids.
