When I was pregnant with my first baby I could tell one friend was happy for me but hurting, it took no effort to be a decent human and not shove it in her face.
I was nursing a 3 month old while taking training. MIL would bring him to feed as needed. I was training along side a woman with a tragic story. I nursed in another room. I pumped well away.
I love how people mention vegetables when it comes to veganism, like other people don't eat them, like never. Guess what, fries are vegan as well 😂

i was the sister in law who was pregnant. i didn't know what to do. my sister in law just ignored me completely and refused to acknowledge the baby. i was stuck happy for myself but not a clue how to handle her.

Dr. Deloney, you’ll never see this comment, but I want you to know how thankful I am you took a call surrounding the topic of infertility. It’s not talked about enough, and so people don’t know how to respond to the emotion they’re feeling and experiencing. I don’t agree with everything you said, but you were wonderful and heartfelt with your answers. Just remember, not everyone has a story of adoption at the end of the infertility journey. Some of us will be childless not by choice for the rest of our lives. ❤️

There are WAYYYYYYY more situations at play than you realize. Nobody should walk on egg shells for personal issues and at the same time, it seems like their is a lot of family involved that may or may not be helping in infertility.
Also women are not out here just to procreate, if we don’t get pregnant we don’t sit around thinking darn, I am here for one purpose to have kids and can’t now I feel worthless. HELLO, what of the MAN IS SHOOTING BLANKS!! It’s not always the women’s fault .
It seemed like he was saying how his wife was feeling. That he missed and didn’t realize why it hurt her so.
Regarding infertility- John Delaney on the one hand good to have the discussion because this is a topic that is highly misunderstood by society at large, but to say “the one thing I’m put on earth to do” to make that comment about women is highly misogynistic and misguided. Consider not giving advise about something you don’t understand. Women have more value than bearing children, which only adds to the misunderstanding on this topic. Maybe consider telling the caller you are sorry they are struggling , and be humble enough that you don’t have advice but your thoughts are with him. Then encourage him with the remainder of your comments on how they can connect as a couple.

The comment about vegans was rude. Saying vegans think they are morally superior is rude. 1. Not all vegans try to get other people to be vegans, 2. Not all vegans go around telling people they are vegans, 3. Vegans are better for the environment so bless them for helping balance out the planet and one less customer to the the horrible, unloving meat industry 4. They don’t eat garbage meat full of antibiotics and hormones that you probably stuff your face with regularly and 5. Vegans who do it right eat VERY creatively and you can make truly amazing meals using plants, not just carrots and lettuce. That is so rude.

Most plant crops are raised with the routine use of herbicides and pesticides.
Grass fed meat is a green food, because hay is a perennial crop that requires no chemicals even on non-organic farms, and uses less fuel by needing no annual plowing and or any spraying.
