I have SilverStone’s Grandia 11 Media Center Case. It’s huge, and amazing! Definitely using them for more PC products!
CZcams. This channel is about as pure as it gets. Leave them alone.
For real😊
and screw nintendo. trash
The fact that simple tech channels that don't make drama or bother with politics etc still can't get piece of mind is just very sad.
fr, them dirty mass-corporations wanna drag everyone into their drama. but they don't wanna do the things they SHOULD be doing lmao@@SIPEROTH

If battle mage can compete with a 4060-4070 with more vram then I think that’s a great product segment to try and gain market share
Top end Battlemage is aiming for 3070-4070S level performance, and will come with 16GB of VRAM. Hopefully they can gain more market share without laptop Battlemage, since it was canceled.
I really hope the "High End" Battlemage card is at the level of 4070 ti/ti super for like 400-450 bucks....It would be amazing and I would genuinely buy one
Nope, top end Battlemage is aiming for 3070-4070S level performance. We will see for how much.
Absolutely agree. You should not need to be a "martyr" or an example for smaller creators. CZcams needs to have clear consistent standards, communicate them, and enforce them evenly. Unfortunately, we know that CZcams does not want clearly communicated and consistently enforced rules. People have been asking for this for more than five years.
The Linux XZ backdoor was overstated for the vast majority of Linux users. Fact of the matter is the impacted versions of XZ only made it into the most bleeding edge distributions of linux, meaning that very few people have actually been effected. Specifically only LIBLZMA/XZ versions 5.6.0 and 5.6.1 contain malicious code. For example my Arch systems, which many consider bleeding edge, are running XZ version 5.4.6 which is not impacted.
At this point its looking like only linux users running Fedora Rawhide (Experimental Rolling Release) or Debian Sid (Unstable) have actually gotten the bad versions of liblzma and with the amount of attention this has gotten it is likely that everyone else will skip updates to liblzma until after the malicious code is removed. Overall, a pretty bad potential impact but fortunately caught early enough that almost no one actually got hit.
I run arch btw 😉
Ironically, while Arch did ship 5.6.0 and 5.6.1, they didn't have the exploit, as their openssh is not linked to liblzma.
I noticed Debian Testing now has `5.6.1+really5.4.5-1` as it's version of xz-utils, I think it might have briefly gotten into testing as well?
@@OhhCrapGuy adding here that they went back that many releases just because that was how long this guy was the maintainer
@@XGD5layer yeah, I actually cloned the repo and looked at it, man... 441 commits by that guy iirc
I'm ready for Battlemage!!!
The xz version with the backdoor didn't actually make it into any production Linux distro(except arch, which is seldom used in production environments). It did however make it into Ubuntu and Fedora beta and daily builds - again not production. Technically there was nothing stopping this from reaching production environments except a user noticing ssh took much longer.
I checked all my arch systems yesterday and the effected liblzma versions didnt even make it into Arch. Looks like only Fedora Rawhide and Debian Sid actually packaged versions 5.6.0-5.6.1. My arch systems are still on 5.4.6...
the backdoor also wasn't really targeting arch, it mainly targeted the deb/rpm distros
@@potatoes5829 good to know. We can be thankful this was caught relatively early.
It didn't even make it to Arch. Openssh in Arch isn't compiled with liblzma support, so the exploit build check was failing and the exploit was not activated.
😮
as a a770 owner i can say i'm pretty hyped for the battlemage.., intel has made so much progress software wise that i'm going to be a beta tester for another gen XD..,. we need the 3th player in the GPU market and intel is doing it...
agreed, for $280 the 16gb a770 has performed extremely well for being a replacement for my dead 2080… if only my card held out til battlemage released 🥲
For anyone that isn't aware of Intel's plan, here ya go. Top B700 is planned to competing against the 3070 to 4070S performance level. Also, there was a plan for Battlemage in laptops, but that's been canceled, so there will only be dGPU's. They're not planning on coming close to 4080 level performance until Celestial. This is the same move Intel made with the A770 aimed at the 3070, that ended up being on average around a 3060TI. As long as Intel can provide 20%-40% more performance in raster they'll be slotted into the same spot they're in right now.
I got gifted a 7900xtx , is that better or worse?
@@chomomma7403that beats a 4080 Super in raster lol
@@chomomma7403 As good as (or better) than a 4080 in raster performance, about the same as a 4070 Super / 4070 Ti in raytracing… in other words, it’s a beast, and what a gift!
I only really watch tech news and I love it, it is amazing for my to know what’s going on
Bought an A770 and am loving it, I hope the B770 will be worth the upgrade lol
Yeah same here, love my A770 but some extra power would be nice in some cases.
If intel delivers 4070 - 4070Ti performance at around 300-350euros, i'm definitely getting it. Been jumping from team green to team red and vice versa from time to time. Hopefully it'll have 16gb of vram
It would probably be 400-450
I got an a770, and besides some hitching and some weird restart/startup behavior, it’s going great!
Got my rarebrew, thanks! Dining it right now while watching those episode and I'm really enjoying the flavor profile. Keep it up!
I noticed that I'm wanting Rare Brew Coffee as soon as Brett puts his hand on it(11:28).. the sound it makes, makes me want to get it.
Also, in regards to the channel not being served up how some people expect it.. My comment to that is to give it a few days because I enjoy my morning Brettfest.. it's my first video to watch every morning and he's published the video by the time I view it in the morning. Get into a rhythm of clicking UFD Tech first and eventually our overlords at YT will serve it up first like it should be ;)
It's tradition for UFD Tech to be taken down each year
Non-Forced updates are one of the benefits of Linux. If it was a backdoor hidden in a Windows update it would have been forcibly installed on user systems. Windows is its own backdoor.
I used silver stone monitor arms and they are great! Good all around company

Battlemage high 499 vs 4080
Mid 349 vs 4070ti
Low 299 vs 4070.
This could really take the lead!
I have no idea what prices could look like, but Intel's plan doesn't aim past 4070S tier for top end Battlemage. Celestial is the gen Intel is trying to aim for closer to the 4070TI-4080 level of raster performance.
The XZ backdoor got mitigated by most affected distros within a couple of hours. Was super cool to see in Linux focused Discord servers how quickly people announced that their different distros got a mitigation.
Whether one is a fan of Intel GPUs or not, Battlemage is a great code name for a GPU.
i have silverstone's remotye control for pc and i love it. remote has power and reset buttons. run mine w battery or usb bank due to using it so much went through like 4 batterys seems like in 8 -6 months lol so now i got HUGE battery 4 remote. 100% recommend that brand.
I think we will see 4070 level performance at the high-end at hopefully 4060TI pricing or less. I think we will see a push form Intel on more vram then Nvidia and atleast on par with AMD. This also shows a continuing commitment from Intel for the product so hopefully they have doubled their efforts to keep drivers/compatibility up to date. Would love to see a 4090 style competitor from anyone at this point but it's not in the cards.
On the Linux security situation, you failed to mention that the backdoored versions of the lib never got to production versions of most distros being used in servers and critical infrastructure. The exception is maybe Arch, which did ship an affected version. But since they don't link SSH with it, the exploit wouldn't work as designed. Not that it is not a wakeup call, but if you look into the details of the situation, it's much less serious than what you made it out to be.
I think the b770 will be around the 4070 or 4060 ti performance
I hope for performance similar to the 4070 with more vram.
Battlemage top tier (Assumed name B970, the G10 Product) coming out around 4070 Ti Performance, if lucky, maybe even 4070 Ti Super, around the $399 price point and the secondary G21 product around $329 and performing somewhere between the original 4070 and 4060.
That would still be a price hike on both from the Alchemist cards which were $349 for A770 and $289 for A750, so not an unrealistic hope.
At worst, they could be $449 and $349 and allow space underneath for a $279 a580 replacement (A580 was $189) and a sub $200 a380 replacement. But that honestly seems like the pricing might be too high on the 580 and 380 grade products to be viable without huge performance gains.
Especially with rumoured prices on the 8800XT falling into the $500-550 price range and 7900XT performance range.
Good to have it back
**Reads video topic** "Well it looks like the April Fools Day stuff has started"
Actually no
I will soon go over to team blue, i have my eyes on a770 16gb or if the release battlemage is in a near future i will be buying one of them.
My only expectation for battlemage is please be better than a 4060 ti and close to but behind a 4070 and 7800 xt in performance for half the cost.
Nice to see you perk up, Brett! Having watched your response to youtube taking down the channel weirdly kinda felt that I was being scolded for something I didn't have anything to do with, lol, but pretty understandable since it is a very frustrating situation. Hoping that CZcams will finally take care of that appeal status still on your channel.
for Battlemage, I'm hoping for at least near 4080 Performance. I have the A770 and am enjoying it.
I watch a lot of your vids. On my phone, you video came up quick. But on my pc, it took a lot of doom scrolling before the same vid popped up on my feed. I'm using the same account on both device as well.
Just pulled the trigger on my first bag of rare brew beans! Super excited to try it! Always down to support my favorite creators, especially when CZcams is being CZcams 😵💫
Love you guys!❤️ The best in the business.
I was just about to buy an Arc a580, but the news of the next gen coming out soon is forcing me to delay my purchase.
Glad you're back
can't wait to see the specs of battlemage in 5 days at Intel vision 2024.
really hope they actually have that NPU stuf already in them instead of it only being in the apu's.
but makes sense they how up being shipped now since intel vision is already in 5 days.
Oh, no UFD reported on hacking, which means youtube thinks UFD did it...
1:00 I am looking forward to being able to send a vertical video to my new boss of myself dancing to Cardi B
Here we go BMG is about to start a fight!💙💜 I expect highest gpu will be about 400-450 and performance 4070 Ti maybe slightly higher
Do you sell the standalone whole beans?
I disagree about the algorithm, I've been watching these usually at 9am, but if not, around 3 or 4pm. CZcams algorithm is just broken and isn't what it used to be.
The place to be. Good job Brett
Glad you have returned, hope the bs quits with these strikes
I am expecting the top tier Intel gpu to perform better than a 4070s but close but not quite the performance of a 4070ti
i wouldn't expect 4070 ti performance at 300 bucks ... mayb e 4070 performance at 300 bucks . and the hgiehr end one gets 4070 ti performance at 600 bucks.
I hope intel gets the software sorted and they price the GPUs fairly, unlike the duopoly that just matches each others prices.
That BB deal for the Ally doesnt pull up in America, only 100 off
News subject list please on the left during the video please
Also, your kiddo becoming a teen.... mine are in the 20s now, but, still, WELCOME TO OLD!
Regarding Battlemage, I'm hoping for 4070 performance for 1440p gaming :) at a fraction of a price of the 4070
I've been saving myself for the PS5 Pro, so get ready to take my money!
It is not hacking.it is just a person staying logged in.instead of logging out.
Damn. Best Buy bumped the Z1 Ally to $399.99 already 😢
The April FOOLS work on the CZcams board.
If the top model of Intel can be around a 4070 super and cost like 450 it will be a goo job.
I need Battlemage to compete w/ 4070 S or RX7800tx @ ~ $400. Cause I'm eyeing the RX7700xt as my next GPU.
if the ps5 pro can play final fantasy 7 rebirth at 4k 60+fps and HDR , then yes , but then maybe it would have release for pc and the 6950xt can handle it
Is battle mage a single gpu or is it a series?
Battlemage is the generation, it's like an RTX 40xx gpu or an Rx 7000 series gpu from Nvidia or AMD
Could this strike have something to do with the stock market regarding the shine new thing called AI?
And this kind of news can actually taint this new gold mine? If get real traction at least.
Cheers from Brazil.
Where!!!
Brettfast is so yummy. Please don’t mention all the forbidden topics that CZcams won’t bother to tell you about.
Is there a UFD Tech 2 just in case, id love to subscribe like and comment on both or all your channels.... just saying.
I think at best you can expect $400 for a 4070Ti class card, maybe I have become a doomer because the reason I expect that is I only expect NVIDIA and AMD with the next gen cards to improve performance by 10 - 20% for the same price.
Re: Battlemage 4070ti - gaming; 4080 compute.
Just a bump in the road!
Most of the Linux distros affected seem to just be the beta test versions, and it was caught early because Linux is open source.
I think 4060 and 4060 ti of lvl I don't think it can compete with the 4070 ti or 4070 super for that if it would they would charge more than 300 for sure
That 4090D is not how it works. If you are using it for AI you want it to have the most performance per watt. China didn't want to overclock and have extra heat and power than a regular 4090. The point of it was it needed less power.
So to Rumble then for the GPT content?
Hope the CZcams ban fiasco is over. Glad to have my brettfast back!
hope battlemage performs like a 3070 for $200 to $250
yep they gave me a free year of Experian
Sadly I had to deal with AT&T
Battlemage incoming 17-19 april
Im still waiting.
sure release date plz😢
Intel Battlemage Flagship if powerful and on par with a 4070 ti might go for $500. Im building an AI Search Agent that will archive Battlemage details and put it into a Blog Post. I can hook you up, im going places in the virtual world. If Intel can only match a 4060 8gb than there will major issues for Intel.
The algorithm is Fd. I skip ONE video from a channel and I'm lucky if YT shows me ANYTHING from that creator for a month.
April 1st?
CZcams fix the Nintendo warning.
thank you :)

If Battlemage is a 4070 competitor, it'll have to be $400-$450 to stand a chance.

It is realistic for Intel to offer better value at the same price point than AMD and Nvidia. 300 dollar GPU will probably going to land in between RTX 4060 to 4060 Ti rasterization performance while offering superior raytracing and double VRAM. It is not even that much to expect from refreshed Arc architecture as A770 already produces comparable results at the same price point while offering similar raytracing with double VRAM. It will be just refreshed generation to keep Intel relevant in the race. With this generation they are finally going to be competitive enough where hardware reviewers will start offering conditional recommendations for Intel GPUs compared to last generation when it was just no.
