the real scam is how i keep watching these videos of austin buying the same items over and over again
You’re not wrong. I just caught myself saying the same thing just now. Think I’m done lmao
blah blah
I think i'll continue, good background noise.

Of course this pops up as I’m waiting for an Amazon Renewed product to be delivered.
Got mine yesterday and safe to say I'm mostly satisfied. Got excellent condition but their was a small crack on my Tab S8 ultra which isn't that noticeable and everything else seems pretty much new. But one of the other things I didn't like was the packaging it basically arrived in a basic box and my tablet was put on top of the bubble wrap and a thin foam piece covering the screen and the s pen was just lose in there but everything arrived undamaged
Got a dsi xl from there. If I’m being honest I just got it there because of the return policy otherwise would’ve bought it from eBay .
Thanks I found it on your porch
Funny how I just bought some Amazon retro games ds.
I just got an Amazon renewed headset
I worked in returns for amazon, dusting it off and putting in a new box if its demaged is all they do to get the best numbers as fast as possible.
how many you have clean in day ? 200 ? ;)
@@adredy more like 300, 30/h was considered as normal, most of it was automatically trash
tell us more
I did too, I still work for Amazon but at my warehouse a lot of returns surprisingly don’t just go to trash.
Well that explains the "renewed premium" phone I got that had a defective camera and scratched screen that Amazon refused to take back.
Anything "renewed or refurbished" online is a gamble. But with companies like Amazon they have easy return policies. Unlike DK oldies and such
Not anymore. They're going or have changed their policies
Not true, you got to return it now and wait 30 days for them to inspect and refund
@@hotmess9640i just returned a mobo and it took a week for the refund ish
I just read in I think wall Street journal Amazon is really clamping down on returns bc of so many scams
@@hotmess9640last item I bought was less than 6onths ago and they offered a full refund or replacement before they even received the original item back and just said if u don't ship og item back u will be charged again or twice
$173 FOR A PS2?! thats criminal 💀
Yikes anything more than like 30 bucks is criminal
Not really no. Ps2 have been going up in prices recently and those dont come with any coverage or return policy.
@@TheElly750 People are wild I still have my launch day full backwards compatible PS3 with both headsets and controllers in the original box and is still partitioned with Linux because I signed up for the lawsuite and got it back instead of the PSN membership they were giving to buy people out it'll be worth dang near what I payed for it with any luck
@@TheElly750 Yup. There is a U-shaped curve. We're probably on the right hand side, going upward.
When the PS3/PS4 was a thing, people still had them to get rid of. Now, nobody has them to get rid of and people only want to buy them.
yes because PS2 is so old it's a COLLECTABLE, you can emulate PS2 games in 4K easily BUT if you want a PS2 in great condition for your collection/decoration then you need to pay big bucks for it lol
Half of the items aren't even from Amazon Renewed Y'all! You have to make sure it says SHIPPED & SOLD by Amazon. Several of the items you guys picked out are from 3rd party sellers.
They're still renewed. The sellers are accepted into the program by Amazon.
Yep exactly. Amazon doesn't just let people sell used items like eBay. @@manjinderrai5143
3:48 As someone that used to own a fire hd 10, it's not worth getting the hd 8. It's smaller, slower, and doesn't have the hd 10 party trick which is to act like an Alexa when plugged into it's charger. Seriously, it worked so well as an Alexa echo show device put only broke out of it when it needed to do something only a tablet could do, but otherwise, it works better than actual echo shows. Now, with amazon not really caring about their line of devices, I wouldn't touch any of them with a ten foot pole.
I have a Fire Max 11 which I loaded Google Play onto and the tablet itself is okay at best. I can't imagine how bad the other ones are.
I Had all and the best tablet is the Tab S4. It's not supported anymore but it still does great my only pet peeve is that it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 instead of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
They get support for a long time, and do the job for a cheap price. I don't know what people are complaining about.
A friend got one of the cheapest model, when they didn't have much and was struggling, at a reduced price. It came with a two year warranty unlike trying to get something second hand so no need to worry, nothing else new came close to as good for that price, nothing else new would have had any support, and nothing second had for that price was really much better but came with all the drawbacks of being second hand (and definitely not supported still).
Earlier this year I bought a Certified Refurbished iPhone 14 Plus and Watch Series 8 from Amazon. They both arrived in good shape and function perfectly. As long as you do your research buying refurbished is nearly as good as new.
@viewviewview1236 HOW DO YOU SHIT ON A WATCH
at this point Austin is just a refurbished tech youtuber
As a person who purchases lots of Amazon returns, I can say for certain if there's an LPN sticker on there, it was returned and resold whether directly back to you or to an "Amazon returns" liquidation shop.
That edit with the cat listening to music with beats was hilarious lol, literally ONLY bass.
Each cycle count represents the number of times a battery has been drained and charged. It's important to note that the decrease doesn't necessarily mean that the battery was drained to 0% -- if someone used their battery for only a few minutes and the battery drained from 100% to 99%, and then the owner charged the laptop again, that would still count as 1 cycle. So all cycle counts are not created equally.
I think it depends device-to-device tho. My laptop doesn't increment the cycle count how you said.
I have always been told to be wary of buying TVs “renewed” because you dont know if its the original panel, would be interested to see a video on those
😊
I actually bought a 12.9 Inch 2018 iPad pro Wi-Fi + Cellular renewed in "acceptable" condition and when it arrived it would've been mint of not for some scratched by around the USB port! It even came with a screen protector and folio case (Which I was unaware of), it would've been perfect of it came with a first party charger. Mind you I only paid $420 too! Amazon Renewed is pretty decent imo, tho I usually get my stuff off eBay.
Riiight I just did the same with the Pixel 6 Pro acceptable for $202
I bought a ton of stuff from Amazon renewed, my current GPU and a pair of Corsair headphones for example, both where basically brand new.
I once bought an iPhone 11 from Amazon renewed in excellent condition and it came with 78% battery and a bunch of scratches
wow....
2:30 fun fact, Bezo’s internal alias in Amazon is just “jeff”
And he isn't even employee #1 If i recall correctly hes #13
@@JapaneseHeavymetal And he owns only 10% of Amazon. But he is the highest shareholder and founder, And those shares are currently worth 160 billion dollars lol
This man has to own at least 100 ps2s by now
And 40 z flips lol
and 100 xbox
that meta quest definitely got smacks on walls LOL
I know a little something about Amazon renewed 😂
My experience with a refurbished Galaxy watch 4 classic was really good until I went swimming with it 😭 the third-party seller was tryna not give me a new one because it was after the 90 day warranty from them. But thankfully I got a new one after I had to threaten them on getting Amazon involved 💀
I got an iPhone 13 for my mom for 480 dollars, for the prices in my country was extremely cheap and it came pretty good, the battery had 100% and no damage at all just the metal ring in the camera had the paint off
props on getting a crt on set for your old games.
For that xbox, reset the video settings by holding the power down for 2 beeps and then start it up. It should reset all video settings. Happens a lot causing ppl to return their xboxes
My experience has been quite good the few times have used. Just this month, I purchased an Apple Watch Ultra 2 model and the classification was "Used - Very Good". The watch was discounted from $799 to $604. Upon receipt I inspected and could tell by Apple serial number status that it was original bought in November 2023 and still under AppleCare until November 2024. Everything was in the box, in like-new condition. The only signs it was used was that the charger cable had been removed and put back into the box and could tell the band had been used for a little bit. The watch was in pristine condition with no defects at all. Was very pleased.
If you buy renewed. Make sure to get prime for that month so you can return the product within Amazon's 90 day no questions asked policy.
Fire advice thank you bro
What happens to all the tech after you buy it? Do you return everything or does it go to people or do you just have ten z flips and ps2s lying around? Genuinely curious
Listening to non-copyrighted music with earbud is crazy🤣
I bought a renewed SteelSeries Arctis Pro for almost 50% off the original price, with the caveat that the BOX was only slightly damaged and scuffed. Too good to be true. However, the product description was misleading. The device came faulty, with a non-working handset and both rechargeable batteries busted. Thankfully, being a Prime member made the return process seamless!
At this point I think Austin owns more z flips than samsung
I still appreciate these videos ❤
I love how the Z Flip lacking water resistance picture is literally the 3 or 4. So it has water resistance but good luck lol
I buy from the Amazon warehouse all the time. They are returns, so it’s a bit of a crapshoot - but sending back is easy if you get a dud. Good deals on non-electronic household goods especially. They usually try to confirm all the bits and pieces are included but it’s very common for small parts to be missing.
seeing this after just returning my renewed iphone 14 pro that was supposed to come in “excellent” condition and instead came extremely damaged and not functional is definitely an extra slap in the face from some sort of higher being.
Amazon can be very tricky. They'll say free shipping, but at checkout they will default to paid shipping. You have to choose free shipping. They are horrible.....
That's odd. I've bought a ton of used or otherwise refurbished productions on Amazon that didn't have the 2 day delivery but regular ship for free. They never defaulted to paid shipping. The last used item I bought was a Evolution track saw for cutting materials like wood or thin tin. Looked like brand new aside from a little wear on the power cord and the shipping was free and regular delivery.
@@MrMega200 Its not only on refurbished products, it happens on new ones too.
Had it happen to me a couple times. The only reason i didn't paid more was because i created a virtual card with just the amount needed.
Defaults to the paid shipping when there is a free option every time on the Canadian site for me but I haven't used Amazon in almost 2 years now, so idk if it's still like that... probably is.
@@Dan-Simms gotta get that coin xD
@@Dan-Simms Huh. I've only ever been on the US version.
Weird; when i've bought Renewed stuff from Amazon (last one was a Hard Drive a few months ago); there was a slip in the package that said something like Amazon Certified Refurbished or something like that.
Really Great Video Austin ✌🏻
my biggest gripe is the renewed vs new price a lot of times is not much different than the full price of a new item
When building my pc I got a few things renewed. The motherboard, turtle beach wireless headset and cooler master mouse. Everything new would have been half the price of my pc, around $150 after it all.
What do you do with all this stuff after a video? Just return it? Or do you sell it?
I have had greatly varying luck with Amazon renewed products. I've had awesome finds and i've also gotten some straight broken products.
Who else is watching this on an Amazon renewed product?
I've bought 3 renewed phones and 1 tablet and all of them were excellent almost mint. no complaints from my experience
you chose excellent condition ?
You sniff earbuds, but someone elses face being on a VR Headset is where you draw the line.
Alonso’s move to Aston? When was this video filmed 🤔😂
I'm hesitant, but a year or two ago, I got a 6700XT for $290 before the prices dropped that low. It came in its original box and was packaged like new. That was a good deal. But I still think it's a gamble. However, with the return policy and everything, the risk isn't too crazy. It's more or less just a matter of time of having to return it if so.
I love these vids testing if sites or services are a scam
Same. I’m looking around for a refurbished MacBook Air and this video got my hopes up to trust Amazon alittle more
@@belongtobill even if it's not up to standards, they have a good return policy at least
Joanna in the background claiming difficulty 2 is not difficult, then quickly proceeds to backtrack her statement 😂
that's Joanna, not Kinsey
They are just customers returns! Open box stuff.
I've bought a renewed Surface Pro for $800 ($1200 MSRP), haven't had any issues at all and was in brand new condition, not even a scratch.
With all this renewed stuff Austin buys, he can make his own renewed tech marketplace
I bought an Amazon renewed iPhone 15 pro and it came with 100% battery capacity, only 1 battery cycle, 2 small scratches on the display, and there is no indication of any parts having been replaced according to the settings. In fact, I’m not even sure how it was possibly renewed if it only had a battery cycle count of 1 and no parts were supposedly replaced. But to say I’m happy with my product is an understatement. Saved me a couple hundred bucks and works like new!
I bought a Dennon refurbished Atmos from Dennon receiver had doubts it very happy with it eight years in
The Samsung Watch I bought on your livestream was Amazon refurb and it was mint. ❤
I got my mother board from amazon warehouse years ago which i think is the same thing here in the uk its returned items. It was way cheaper than buying new and ive had zero issues with it
My first smartphone that I bought was the Note 10 back in 2020. at the time a brand new one cost $1000 and I found an ALMOST NEW Note 10 that was refurbished and unlocked for $515. I bought it and it was basically a new phone. No damage, no scratches, nothing. Lasted me up until January of this year when I upgraded to the ZFlip 5 because the battery on the Note 10 was dying within half a day of light use. Great purchase but Renewed stuff can be a gamble
Half the time it's the stuff that never made it out the factory or never passed conditions.
How many refurbished Z Flip and Z Fold phones has Austin bought at this point? Does he just have a shelf of them at this point.
What’s the best year MacBook Air or pro to do drone footage editing (air3) ? Amazon refurb prob best price I can get I’d imagine ? 🤔
Send me your extra Zflip! Haha... love the videos as always
Back in 2021, I got a Samsung S20 Ultra 512GB + Galaxy Buds Pro for $700 from Amazon Renewed. Practically brand new for less than half the price. Not bad.
Dear editor, the Bezos water bottle was hilarious!
I have tried Amazon renewed products twice. Both items were returned as they either didn’t work or were missing components. 🙄
I had bought a Blue Yeti and it is still serving me well with great sound quality so I honestly trust em.
As someone who works at amazon, I'm surprised that anything arrived not broken, Those machines are not soft
Guys can we please appreciate.. HIS ARM VEINS DAM
My monitor came from Warehouse and its fine- just the model itself was faulty, my colleague also had one With similar minor issue^^
I bought a renewed M1 Mac Mini a year back from them, looked brand new, except it was iCloud locked, so I returned it for a refund. It can be hit or miss.
The best thing about Amazon warehouse is they give you a normal return policy.
At are you rating the specs? I want to know the quality of the “refurbished” process
320 for an intel macbook air, if i'm not mistaken these are the ones with a measly cooling
I bought refurbished headset and it came like brand new no scratches and manufactured packaging
I got an "excellent" Galaxy s22 refurbished and there was significant specs and scratches all around the side of the phone. I'm not to butt hurt about it since it's just cosmetic, especially since I'll just put a case over it anyway, but for it being "excellent" that's not great!
The new editing is awesome
Should do the same thing except buy from Back Market I’ve always been curious about them.
I have always been told to be wary of buying TVs “renewed” because you dont know if its the original panel, would be interested to see a video on those
The one thing I find Amazon is a bit of a scam with is the fact they get a return that the person states is faulty and sends it back out to the next customer.
So many times I have gotten something that looks like a return that has been sent right back out without them checking.
I tested it once.
Sent back a keyboard and mouse and kept the mouse... got a refund and no word about the missing mouse lol.
I feel like they do that just hoping one person doesn't bother returning it, maybe too busy or something and they do this until it doesn't get returned and that's a item sold they do not have to worry about lol.
Generally when I've run into problems and had a return, they just send me a brand new version of the item. Had it happen a couple of times. I think they just tend to eat the cost of a lot of stuff to avoid as much time as they can on support.
Got my s21 in perfect cosmetic shape and a broken camera… had to sell it at a huge loss because I couldn’t return it… never again…

My Amazon Refurbished DS Lite cost about as much as a new one but the condition is basically new.
I got a refurbished copy of NCAA Football 12 for Xbox 360 a few weeks ago. It worked.
ive purchased Renewed items from amazon and always got them as new but also depends on the seller. sold and shipped by amazon you will always get it with its original packaging in as new
Ive gotten a few deals with refurbished items. Only dud and my most anticipated one was a prebuild corsair with a 4090, the gpu didnt work at all.

You can find those Beats for $100 brand new.
UPDATE: Best Buy has them for $79.99 as of this post.
The tablet would be nice to connect to a wireless security camera or something like that.
I buy almost ALL renewed and get 89% good stuff. There were a few things I had to send back to get replaced but ended up good.
I've personally had great luck with amazon renewed galaxy s10e and ipad mini 6, basically brand new for 100s cheaper with only the tiniest of nicks
I bought my m1 12in iPad Pro from Amazon renewed, it was around 1000 dollars and it was the 250 gb model it was in perfect condition the only flaw was a little 2 mm line on the screen (and as I had it for like 4 days without a screen protector I can’t be sure it was not my fault) and it came in with generic cable and charger. It did come in with a little note that let me know that a third party refurbished the item and it was just being sold in partnership with the Amazon renewed program.
I still think I got a good bargain, bought it a few months before the m2 iPad Pro got announced.
I picked up the Steel series Arctic 7x wireless for $99, normally $180. They came in a random box but we're in like new condition
I bought some refurbished Galaxy Buds 2 Pro earbuds. It said that the condition was "good", but it honestly felt like a like-new product. Color me surprised, I was expecting at least some scratches. Not bad!
Love this content. Shows if this is worth it or not.
The fire tablet was solid, maybe 6 years ago. I remember I put the play store on my moms, but she switched to a Samsung tablet a couple of years ago, and that thing is miles ahead of the fire tablet.
In all fairness the 360 disk drive did come out... When it wanted to😂😂
Got my 15 Pro Refurbished for $200 off and was brand new basically. I had a good experience.
i had a decent experience with it. Bought an iPhone 12 in "Good" condition and the front and back glass were PERFECT not a single screatch. However, the sides were scuffed up a bit.
Another note was I ordered this and the rear main sensor just did not work whatsoever, the wide and front ones did. I did exchange it and got a perfectly working device.
Also battery was at 83% which isnt the best but its acceptable
any renewed offers by multiple sellers across the website is automatically a red flag. just like websites like back market ect.
Just do the display reset on the the xbox series s with the buttons, i believe it should be the power and sync button. If not then all 3 buttons until the display shows. The display is most likely set to 4k 120hz, and was returned due to there monitor not being able to receive the output thus thinking they messed it up.
Austin, can you compare mini pc’s for ultra budget gaming? I.e. $300 and under, good for simple emulations (dolphin, VBA, etc…) and easy/undemanding gaming (minecraft, LoL, etc…)
