    Excellent, just up, cup'o'tea made, computer on and ...... a video from one of my favourite channels to watch ... life just can't get any better 😁
    These turned out really nicely ... although 9mm MDF is only for those with loads of money 🤣 ... if using MDF then coat them in varnish or sanding sealer, especially the edges, it'll make them last longer.

    The trays look fantastic 👌. I've used 6mm MDF for a few templates and always give them a coat of varnish so they'll last a bit longer, but acrylic are superior, love using mine, so good luck with that new venture 👍

    Tomasz, great to see you making good use of your laser etc to actually make products that you can use for creating items from your workshop to be able to sell.
    Know i don't know if you are aware or not but if you use the tray that you made with just the one wiggly part on the outter ring you can actually use it for a different product. Knowing that you have children this would be idea for a gift for a girl. Taking the wood try as it is now you need to make a handle and glue it to the outter ring opposite to the wiggly bit you made with your template, one that's done you'll need to cut a mirror into a circular shape and then inlay the mirror onto the center of your tray. Giving you a handheld mirror for your little girl which also happens to look pretty similar to the talking mirror in the children's movie " Beauty and the Beast" just a little food for thought for you to consider especially when you have children who are at that age of Innocence still and love that type of movie and all the oddities that are within that movie. As always brother 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.

      Omg that is a fantastic idea thank you so much. I love it👍I do actually have mirror backed acrylic sheet. This is happening for sure. What a brilliant idea thank you👍 I think you will see a video on this 😄

    Great work Tomasz! Love the Xtool P2 for your stencils. Can I just suggest an alternative way that I would use the template - when using the bandsaw use the template to trace a pencil line around and then remove the template and cut out near to the line - then reattach the template and finish of with a flush trim router. Its saves potentially damaging the acrylic template if you get too close with the bandsaw…… don’t ask me how I know 😂 - great projects as usual.

    I am a little lost as to how you channeled out the whole circle. I saw the routing against the inside template. Is the flat sheet on the router used to keep it level across the middle of the board

    • @CasualDIY
      @CasualDIY  Před 3 měsíci

      The large acrylic base is there exactly for that reason. You can make it out of plywood for example but I like to see what I'm doing. The router is equipped with a straight tracing bit with a bearing.

      @@CasualDIY much appreciated, apart from that bit the video was perfect. I could see how you maybe got there but wasn't sure till the end of it was the angle and just a juice groove or a full flattened middle. Much appreciated on the reply
