Honestly, I'm with you guys. And this is coming from woman. I am honestly so freaking sick and tired of the the Mary-Sue characters and the I'm-a-strong-independent-female-that-don't-need-a-man-in-fact-I'm-better-than-a-man characters.
We've gotten so many s#### female characters it was a godsend to get the girl in prey. Not perfect but better than this tripe
I think you hit the nail on the head between 4:09 and 5:04 , Tyrone. People are aware of this stuff a lot more now, and thus have become a lot more reactionary whenever it comes up... even though it has been in entertainment for longer than we realize. Sometimes political elements in entertainment are preachy (which I hate, regardless of what side it's coming from), but there are other times where they are a neutral part of the story/character... and unfortunately, too many people lack the capacity to distinguish between the two. Or maybe they do have the capacity, but they just have this overwhelming hatred for the other side of a culture war that they don't want to cede ground anywhere... even though giving the ""devil"" his due might be what needs to happen in order to make people less angry.
Right. You know even though both sides of the "culture war" are on the opposite sides of a spectrum, they have a lot of similarities with each other

Tyrone always says what i think, i really enjoy hearing him talk. Its nice to have a big youtuber who is sane.
This kind of behavior from those members of his audience is a lesson in why idolatry is so dangerous. It doesn't matter what your political perspective is or what your idol is. That level of attachment is self-destructive.
I think what Jennifer did in that episode dismissing Bruce struggles is a microcosm of how alot of women and society treats men in general. That being said it didn't take me out and I still liked the episode

The funny thing is about that comment he highlighted. In the comics, Supergirl IS naturally stronger than Superman because of her being raised on Krypton and her density being higher than his because of it.

Zod was not only raised on Krypton, he was created specifically to be a warrior through their DNA manipulation system and while Superman was naturally born he was born from 2 scientists who were manipulated to be what they are. Basically, if Zod went and sat near the sun for a bit like supes does sometimes, he would absolutely terrorize superman.

The real advantage he has is that he's absorbed more of our sun than any of them which is why he is able to literally sit on it's surface to become more powerful. Other Kryptonians would likely not survive that without having been on earth for decades in advance so their cells could get used to absorbing so much of the sun.

Tyrone, you have become the guy I come to for reviews on shows/movies. I enjoy your method of reviewing a movie. You don't try to be all Siskel and Ebert-like, rather, your reviews feels like how a friend would tell another friend what they thought of a movie. And I agree with you (and by extension, Joe) that I actually enjoyed She-Hulk. Yeah, there were eye rolling moments for sure but, for me, Jennifer and Bruce's chemistry was so much fun to watch. They were more like brother and sister than cousins. I also loved the breaking of the fourth wall. And let's be honest with ourselves, we all could tell there would be woke elements from the trailer. The trailer provide enough 'woke-spoilers' to save people who would have an issue with this sort of thing, a lot of time and frustration. As for me, I expected it, watched it anyway, and walked away pleasantly surprised by how much fun the episode was.
The best comment section is the sleeping music enhance videos. Such lovely positive comments

As much as I agree with the overall statement its impossible to avoid politics in media. Its almost entirely based around politics and always has been. Think of your favourite movie, or favourite show. Its political. I guarantee it. Its just when its politics you agree with or not.
The best media is the ones that delve DEEP into social structures and therefor politics.
