I want to see a movie based on Yasuke The Black Samurai. One thing people don't know or don't think of is that during Napoleon wars Egypt's cultural heritage was stolen and ravaged. Burial grounds and other valuables were taken and you can now see them in museums all over the world. Egypt chose to heavily protect their archeological places thanks to that, allowing access to only trusted researchers who are aware of the damage that was done to their history. Their reaction is absolutely no surprise and it's kinda understandable why they are pissed off.

Well, I can tell you that back when I was in middle school, I had to write a report about George Washington Carver. This was back in the 90's, in basic social studies. He was a cool guy, I have a lot of respect for him.

Cleopatra was an entire annomaly of existence, she was though to be one of the most beautiful women in history, able to captivate even the likes of roman emperors, smart, stute, a great strategist, but also a caring and loving person, she was the only non egyptian emperor that decided to learn the language of the people and is though to be an inbreeding product of the family, yes, her family was incestuous to keep it as pure as possible.
Cleopatra was black. The Pharaohs were black. Cesar was black. Joan of Arc was black. The little mermaid was black. Tinker Bell was black.

So the history of cleopatra goes all the way back to Alexander the Great who was a Macedonian king in northern Greece decided to conquer the Persian empire who controlled turkey,Syria,Iraq,Egypt and Afghanistan. He conquers all of it then dies either by poison or just drinking to much but he’s dead so his generals start to carve out Alexander empire one of his generals is Ptolemy he goes to Egypt basically controlling it making his own kingdom. Ptolemy starts a family etc but just like the Habsburg family they decided for some reason that incest is a okay so brothers and sisters overtime cleopatra is born. This is a oversimplified version of the Ptolemaic Egypt if you want to know more about cleopatra there is a great video talking about her ethnicity is called was cleopatra black the truth about cleopatra ancestry by Lady of the library or just watch an infographic video about it.
Some race swaps are good. Remember Blade was not always black. But some things are not to be messed with, like with history. Like you said, you cannot change facts just to have your show adapted to 'modern audiances'.

Historically, Cleopatra was Greek, but did have brown skin. This documentary is just another attempt at rewriting history. I've been watching Thomas Sowell and can't believe how much of the truth I was denied in school growing up and that was the 90's and 2000's. Of course, we were always told to accept one another and judge only on character.

Two things can be right at the same time…ancient Egypt was undoubtedly black African in origin but different racial groups ruled over different dynasties. Ptolemy was definitely white and green but prior to them it was African. The Egyptians today are a mixed breed not reflected in the pyramids and ancient monuments.
Also King Tuts DNA 🧬 came up with European DNA in it when it was tested

Egypt is in Africa. So I find it hilarious people have a hard time beliving that some or a lot of Egyptians could have been African. Especially the early Dynasty before invasions and race mixing started to take place that change the look of the Egyptians over time
