    Removed all the background music and such, to enjoy the pure screwdriver crackling and plastic/metal noise in the background. :D

    when removing the back cover, MAKE SURE you open towards the back side and not towards the face of the laptop
    made the mistake of opening towards the face and broke some hinges for the cover of (what i assume) the display cables and almost messed up the display of the laptop

    Thanks for the help! I couldn't figure out how to pop off the case after removing the screws. I didn't have a guitar pick on hand, but I was able to get enough leverage on the bezel to pop the connectors.

    Hey man, thanks for the great video, definitely keeping it close. Just a question, repasting my laptop, exact same one as in video, do I have to use some special paste for the smaller chips as opposed to the normal thermal paste bought for the cpu/gpu? I got mysel coolermaster mastergel.
    Basically see some people mention using a very viscous paste, or even thermal pads? What would your opinion on this be?
    will appreaciate any help on this, and again, thanks fo the video!

    The white goo under the cooling pads on the smaller chips is also thermal paste? So we can reapply it right?

    On my GE76 11UH, the QWE and Esc buttons began to fail. Moreover, if you press on the lower left part of the case, they begin to be pressed, sometimes duplicated. I read on the MSI forum that many powerful laptops of the GE series have a problem with keyboard cable squeezing. Do you have a video or instruction on how to get to the keyboard to check this assumption that the cable is really squeezed by the case?

      @@muqadasraji4638 I took the laptop to the service center and they completely changed my palm rest. Then I bought an external keyboard and a cooling pad, and raised the laptop on its feet above the stand so it wouldn't get so hot anymore. And now I only work on an external keyboard. A year has passed, everything seems to be fine.

    yo makai im a noob of disassembly i wanna know how to put some sillicon grease onto my cpu as recently my ge76 isnt performing well (cpu temp toohigh) do i simply follow the instructions until i see the cpu which is the bigger quare shown last in your vid?

    • @MakaiTechReviews
      @MakaiTechReviews  Před rokem +1

      Actually the smaller square (on the right) is the CPU. The bigger one on the left is the GPU. But long story, yeah. You simply remove the fans/heatpipes. Use a cue tip + rubbing alcohol to remove the old paste and reapply the new one. Be gentle next to the silicone chips there are small components which can be esily knocked off.

    Hello. I have a GE76 11ug laptop. Firtst time after 2 years of owning it, I bought a compressed air can and made some blast all over grill gaps available. Then I noticed that my right fan (when laptop is in working position keyboard up) (so my right is your left in the video) is not working all the time. I never noticed it before, maybe it used to be like that all the time. Is it normal, or they have to work both, all the time , same speed RPM?

    • @MakaiTechReviews
      @MakaiTechReviews  Před 7 měsíci

      CPU fan usually run all the time, but can turn off if temperature is low enough. Same for the GPU fan. Usually GPU fan only run when it is actually utilized by the system.

    i just picked up a Dell s3422dwg, could i get 2k 144hz from this MSI GE76(rtx3060) with using a usbc/displayport cable?

    • @MakaiTechReviews
      @MakaiTechReviews  Před rokem

      I think it should work just fine. eg the HDMI support 4K @ 120Hz, or 8K 60Hz, so 2k shouldn't be a struggle. Try to use the HDMI or the MiniDP port from your laptop. Those are directly connected to the dGPU.

    if i wanted to upgrade my memory should i get 1 2tb m.2 or just add another 1 tb m.2 to the spare slot and with the memory do i get ddr4 or ddr5 if it comes with ddr4

    • @MakaiTechReviews
      @MakaiTechReviews  Před rokem +1

      I think you are talking about 2 totally different things. If you want to expand storage (m.2 NVMe SSD) has nothing to do with the RAM - Memory (DDR4 or DDR5). As for the storage expansion, I would pick a 1TB NVMe and put it into the 2nd slot. So your original SSD will still be in use. Yes, the main first slot is faster, but honestly, in real work use case, you would not even notice the difference. I still prefer to put an extra SSD into the 2nd slot.
