Thank you!! What I needed, I have a GE66 raider and just need some kind of “guideline” video. No one did this properly, thank you!

@ElectroInfotech it would had been great to see a temperature difference after the upgrade.

wait... is the thermal paste used on the memory chips and the capacitors not just regular thermal paste?? why didn't you replace it?

No it's not regular thermal paste. And I feel your pain. Probably because nobody knows what the hell they are doing, and can't just make a video exlaining wtf is what where & what goes where and what is and what isnt. Istg would it hurt these people to just look into things and make a comprehensive guide explaining how to do it? Apparently msi doesn't even use thermal pads but something else, and you gotta get some k5 thermal puddy for the ram or something like that. But I dont know for sure because nobody is capable of making an actual guide on repasting the ge76 showing us what to use, how to apply it or how much you need. I couldnt even find out how or what to do on reddit, like how tf is anyone gonna repaste this thing without some sort of guide????

@@tsuketsu9889 it's not that bad!! You are correct, it's thermal buddy called K5 pro and honestly with thermal interfaces on laptops, it doesn't really matter if it's too much as long as it isn't electrically conductive, because laptops heatsinks aren't really as even as the ones in GPUs and CPUs on PCs so a thicker thermal paste, or more of it tends to be better than say, liquid metal that needs very good surface contact. This video shows how to get to it well enough in my opinion, at least they got that right, they just left out a very important detail and probably killed their laptop by opening it and not replacing the thermal puddy too lmao

So thermal paste on the GPU & CPU and thermal puddy on the memory chips and capacitors?
