THANK YOU! - Věda a technologie
Thanks awesome video! I fear tinkering and taking things apart but a new ssd is a must!
Hi! Thank You sharing with us. what about the display? Are they also the same in titan and raider?
Will the Samsung 990 pro with heatsink fit in this laptop? TIA.
In summary, the differences between the Titan ( czcams.com/video/77qHW85cOus/video.html ) and the Raider appear to be:
1. The Titan has blue accents and this has red.
2. The Titan has a seamless glass touchpad and wrist rest while this has a traditional click pad. Plus this has a fingerprint reader.
3. The Titan has one more M.2 slot.
4. The Titan has a vapor chamber, this has at least 6 heat pipes.
Actually it looks like that the Titan also has the plug for the Fingerprint:
Titan slot: czcams.com/video/77qHW85cOus/video.htmlsi=mcARdojqBqDFDCsr&t=1220
Raider slot: czcams.com/video/VunfV4NI0BM/video.htmlsi=4jTGdWch2aZ4KCIa&t=736
The very left of the motherboard, next to the speaker.
@@MakaiTechReviews the slot for it but not on the machine 😞. (I agree that it's effectively the same mobo and chassis)
@@MakaiTechReviews I'm thinking the Normal finish on the Raider will last longer than the Glass finish of the Seamless Titan touchpad...would be nice to know for sure if the titan had the fingerprint reader indeed, the Glass finish has me wondering if the radiwr would be a better but for durability. I hav an MSI 1decade now, still standing.
Well the motherboard has the fingerprint port, but obviously the reader itself is missing from the chassis.
@@zechssiguro7476 the Titan is glass. I'm pretty rough on hardware and mine is still flawless. Attracts fingerprints like crazy though 😅
Hello i just got my raider 14v and its my first time upgrading which M.2 SSD is the gen 5?
is the housing entirely made of plastic? any metal part??
where you buy?i dont see anysome can buy inline
Hi, is microphone/camera cable plugged in to the motherboard with display cable or it's another cable somewhere else?
Yeah, most likely that's the case. I cannot find any other cable routed to the top part.
@@MakaiTechReviewsThank you!
I may have commented on your Titan 18 HX disassemble, and same applies here. I am worried about space to put 3rd party heatsinks on SSD. Gen 4 SSDs can run hot, but Gen 5 SSD run so hot I'm super skeptical about putting Gen 5 in a Titan or Raider 18 HX without having to cut case bottom to put full sized heat sink, and then have laptop sit angled on top of laptop cooler like Llano cooler.
Is there even space for a Gen4 SSD that comes with heatsink installed like Seagate Firecuda 530?
Thank you if you can answer these questions. If not, I'm sure someone will eventually have answer before I decide which one I want and start cutting holes in bottom to allow big heatsinks on SSDs. :)
Tks for the concept of the Seagate Firecuda 530... I'll be looking into the coolest running Gen4&Gen5 SSD brands & products.
@@zechssiguro7476 - that would be wonderful, and even more especially for SSDs that are 4GB because I think the bigger SSDs run a little bit hotter, and what even is the point of buying system that's suppose to be biggest and fastest laptop like this or Titan unless biggest and fastest 4GB SSDs (or bigger if they ever happen) are used?
I didn't buy the raider 18hx in Europe, but I went to Asia and bought one with an English keyboard. The price was more than 3,800 euros. Mine is the RTX4090+2TB version. Unless you pursue the ultimate touch feel, I don’t think there is any need to buy Titan 18hx. Originally I planned to buy the raider GE78hx but it only has a 2k screen and the GE68HX is only 16 inches. I happened to see the newly released raider 18HX. Been using it for a month and it’s great!😁😁
Hi! I am planning to get the 18HX also... Just want to know how is it now?
Planning to take an upgraded one to 64GB RAM and 4TB SSD.
@@bloodygear7883 Just go and get one! It's awesome machine my old vector gp66 looks like a toy compare to this one. Mine is 32gb 4080 paid £3200 for it. Games on Miniled 4k looks very different as picture quality is almost oled. Bf2042 2560x1600 max settings 125fps @ 4k with dlss on quality 115fps. This feels premium laptop in every way
hello sir apply liquid metal cpu and gpu performance and what this pad with used on the vrm and memory gpu
