- Let's upgrade the RAM in this brand new MSI GE76 Raider which we finally got. I will share with you guys of how to install it, and I will share with you guys the gameplay test to see the difference. Thank you for watching, and I hope my video can be both informative and entertaining for you. The specs of this laptop can go as high as RTX 3080, i9, and 64 GB RAM. The best way to keep the laptop cool is to get a cooling pad, and I have some recommendations below too.

I saw this video before buying a 64gb ram ge76 raider for $1,600, but I found a $1,100 offert on ebay with 16 ram and changed the ram as you did with x2 32gb, I save a bunch of money I guess hehe.

I'm on my GE76 Raider right now; love this powerhouse as a development device! Anyway, is there a maximum storage specification? I want to put two eight-terabyte SSD's in this thing, with the total understanding I'll have to purchase a whole-new Windows-License, with which I'm entirely okay, and for which I'm fully monitarily prepared. I can't find the answer anywhere online, and heck if I'd ever trust an AI chat-bot to give me the correct response. Thank you for your time, My Good Sir!

Great video! I have a msi raider as well but mine has ddr5 but it's a samsung version of Ram. Do i still need to go with Samsung or does it matter? I just want to make sure I get the best speed and performance for any upgrade to the Ram I choose.

I didn't test the Asus Strix 15 yet, but it seems very good too. I will go with ROG for sure.

😍🔥 Nice video the Ram gave like 10 Fps to performance and did take of some load of the Cpu which decreased the heat, still waiting for your vid on ASUS ROG Strix G17 (2021)

@@RyanYu I do a lot with video editing. I may wait to see if 32 is enough with the I9 processor. I'm using an older I5 now with 32gb and it's slow and freezes up regularly.

So after I upgrade my ram to 32gb I can max out my warzone settings for 1080p and ultra and high and have no issues with the texture in the game looking like a clay ground

I am confused between MSI GE76 Raider (11800h - RTX 3060) and Alienware m15 r5 (5800h - RTX 3060) I want to know what is your recommendation.
I personally more like intel cpu, so I will go with the MSI.

There seems to be a cover on my ram section that I don't know how to remove and it isn't in your video. 😢

@@RyanYu it is actually black metal. You have to pry it up to remove it. 5 clips hold it in place. Be careful not to short out your board if you use something metal like an exacto knife because that was the only thing I could find to get under it. *Disconnect your battery as well.

Great Video Love it I just bought the 3060 w/ 16gigs and its was fun at first but my desktop is 32gig so I needed more on the laptop.

What was wrong with the regular RAM? Was it not good enough. I have the same laptop and might consider upgrading mine if someone could explain why the upgrade is needed? This laptop in the video is the 3080 version right?
Nothing wrong with the stock ram, this is just for someone like me wants more. The one in the video is RTX 3060. In some cases, more RAM will increase your FPS in game.

Your ram is much powerful than the one that I used, mine is DDR4, and yours is DDR5, just stay with what you have. you are fine.

yep, the default ram is Samsung. Crucial brand is good enough.

How is the screen response time and overall quality of the screen?? that seems to be the only area that the laptop might have problems with
Been tryna find out myself. I haven't found anything on response time but I found that the screen brightness is only 250 nits and the color accuracy is not very good. Only 45.ntsc and 75 srgb. I wish someone would do a detailed test on it. I haven't seen any videos on it.

The response time for this screen is 25ms, and sRGB is 64%, NTSC is 46%, I will share with you guys of how to get this information soon.
