Love watching them with you, great reactions, your face when Father Ted removed the boxes, when all Dougal had to do was drive on the other side of the road. I have a sore throat from laughing.
I'm a Catholic myself, and I checked with my brothers and sisters - shout out to John, Alf, George, Ringo, Jemima, John 2, Sid, Frankie, Linda, Barbara, Courtney, Sylvia, John 3, Gregory, Vladimir, Bob, Carol, Ted, Alice, John 4, Valerie, Elsie, Doris, Mildred, John 4.5 and Charmondsley - and we're all pretty sure our parents didn't use contraception. But these days it's a rule more honoured in the breach. There are workarounds, though, even for those who won't use contraception, such as never doing it on a Thursday and only doing it up against a wall while standing on your hands.
Great laugh with you Ed... Had a brew and a teacake and penguin. It only dawned on me last year that a Penguin is just a Bourbon covered in chocolate 👍
The reason dougal didn't go right round the boxes was because Ted told him to drive on the left side of the road, it's the little details like that that make father ted even funnier 😂
i remember buying that Ireland shirt in a sports shop in Athlone while on holiday,i was about out of spending funds and only had a £50 English note left which my boss gave me so went into a bank to change it and the bank staff were handing it around thinking it was a fake note to start with!!
I love this episode, but I’m also a sore arse and a craic killer! 😂. How can he be the new milkman when he’s got a load of hairy weans across the island?
Catholic church is against the use of contraception, because any sexual activity that is not for the reason of creating babies is viewed as a sin. This includes things like anal or oral sex, masturbation, pulling out, contraception etc. Abortion is also frowned upon because of similar reasons. The contraception question was especially controversial in the 90s, because Catholic church has a huge following in Africa in many of regions afflicted with AIDS epidemics. And many people needlessly died in those regions from AIDS, making the epidemic even worse, because church was militantly forbidding the use of contraceptives even in those AIDS stricken countries.
@@pringleton That is definitely part of it, possibly even the original reason why these sort of views were cultivated in the first place. Countries need a strong young generation, otherwise they are in a lot of trouble. Still true today, but was even more important throughout history.
The writers were certifiable.
Lmao you're insanely funny Eddy lmao 😂

Glad you enjoyed it. What an amazing show 🥳
It still exists I’m catholic and I never took contraception .
The Catholic teaching is that it is okay to have sex after marriage but not before...
I had that Ireland shirt, got it in Greaves Sports I'm pretty sure, probably north of 70 quid now.

Once Ted knew the boxes were empty, all he had to do was run into them with the car or just kick them all out of the way.
😂😂
Wow, I never thought of that one
Thank you so much. You really know how to put up the good stuff. Father Ted is great.
Omg lol I've never forgotten this one 😂❤

I thought he said he was from the West side of the island and had decided to expand.
😮😮
@@AthanImmortal ahhh, now that makes sense. I’d always imagined Craggy Island to be the size of a postage stamp!
One of my favourite episodes
Piss take of the film speed...utterly brilliant
Go forth and Multiply :)
Love your channel.
Thank you! 🤩
More babies,more catholics.
The Catholic Church was always against the use of jonnies, they wanted boomers to have countless weans and so a lot of them did.
Actually that is what some say is needed now in case we are overwhelmed.

Might suggest that it was also beneficial for them to have more babies being born and raised in Catholic households..
