Just bought a 345 Daytona charger and I’m loving it, definitely will be doing that muffler delete first! I can’t wait for the cold starts once I get that done! Just waiting till my first payment comes through for the vehicle, excited for all the neat little things I will come to change! I can now say Mopar or no car!!
Just bought my 2020 Hellcat Redeye and absoluterly love it. This video was awesome and highly informative. Since I bought it used, 12k miles, windows were already tinted, but had the yellow protector on front though. Its coming off today LOL. First thing I am doing is the exhaust as suggested . I just bought a '23 Scat Pack in White Knuckle, and the first thing I did was take off the black wheels and put on 5-spoke aluminum wheels. Not bright and gaudy, more of a subdued look (called Anthracite). But I hate black wheels on every frickin' vehicle, especially mine😂

Good list. Many of these I did already on my Charger. I think a big one IMO was tires and wheels adding the hellcat repica rims to my R/T with summer tires, 275's was a big improvement.
what did the tires improve ?

Great video! I'm about to get my first Dodge most likely this summer. I've been wanting a Challenger for a few years and have been researching it and joined the main forums. I currently drive a 16GT and its a decent car, but I've had 3 Mustangs and just want something different with a little more torque. I know I want a 392, but can't decide on the trim. I keep going back and forth between a loaded regular Scat Pack, 1320, widebody or 50th. I'm leaning towards the 50th and would love the WB version, but know that it is going to be too pricey as I would like to keep it no more than 45k (after rebates and discounts). The 1320 actually looks to be the best bang for the buck, but wish you could get some color in the interior as I really like the new Caramel option. I do know I want to get either octane, sinamon stick or gold school. The 50th anniversary also looks to be a good deal with what you get in the package assuming you can get one at sticker minus some rebates, but I'm a bit worried about the flat black paint and wraps. I use to wash my own car more, but have to admit I'm getting a little lazier as I age and want something easy to take care of and can just go through the car wash. I've been hearing a lot of good things about the ceramic coating lately, but not sure how it would work with the satin areas? If I can find a place that could do a decent job in the 500-600 range that would be great, but most seem to be over a grand in my area.
Sorry about the long rant and long post, but I will be following.
There are a LOT of salvage Challengers...most with major front end damage(for some unknown reason). You can probably get a pair of seats out of one of them.
Just got a 2018 Challenger R/T Plus 2 weeks ago and I have already done just about everything on the list, with the addition of gloss black lug nuts and wheel locks. These are definitely "must do's" for a modern Challenger. Not sure if I'll get around to installing an oil catch can, but I'm definitely going to splurge on some wider Hellcat style rims soon :)

Awesome tips! I bought one yesterday. 2021 Scat Pack widebody with T/A pkg, tech, plus, convenience pkgs. Loaded! It's an amazing car and I've had close to 100 cars and other SRT's. As solid as any car I've ever been in! First thing I did is have the dealer remove that stupid yellow thing!

What’s the gas mileage on a scat pack
@@narrow2056 it varies significantly based on how you drive it. When I pay attention and put some effort and restraint in, I’ve gotten 18-19, but it’s hard to keep my foot out of it so I’m around 12-14.

I have been a GM guy my entire life. For the past 23 years all I have driven are some of the hottest cars GM and Pontiac has ever made. I decided two weeks ago to buy a new car as it was time to give my 2012 SS Camaro a little rest (daily driver). I will never get rid of her as she's still amazing. At any rate, as I'm looking at newer Camaro's for the first time in my life I just wasn't happy at what I was looking at. Not one new Camaro in any trim looked like an American muscle/pony car and I decided to look at something else...
Thankfully, I saw an amazing yellow and black Dodge Challenger RT+P for sale that was at the right price. I test drove her and bought her then and there. I know, it's not a Scat or Hellcat Redeye but as my first Dodge I wanted to start smaller as I just don't know the cars. Well...too say I am impressed is an understatement. If I still feel this way this time next year, I will buy a Challenger Hellcat. Hell, maybe I get one sooner and give my RT to my fiancee.

Got everything you mentioned done except the exhaust. We travel a lot with the car so I don’t want to piss off my family on 1500mile drives. I would also recommend swapping the marker lights out to the full led ones. They look so much better.

I honestly think the splitter guard looks cool, even if yes, it will overtime damage your splitter.
I think a more logical idea would be to have a yellow strip painted onto the splitter for aesthetic reasons.
Nooooo. Please nooooo. It’s a shipping guard. Nothing about it looks good. Dodge built a beautiful car and never intended for a bright yellow banana colored strip on the splitter. People just want their car to look new. Same as leaving the sticker on their hats. We have to stop the insanity. 🍌

Some people like 18-20" rims, some people even like putting 22" or bigger on their Challenger, I think they look ridiculous. I think even the stock wheels are too big; I like a more retro look, smaller wheel, more tire.

U r spot on 💯 with all these mods and your glow headlights too lol, we just appreciate cars and understand this shit and why we do it all. We r in the mopar community that’s just what we do, the people that disagree with most of these mods don’t understand lol. I’m 19 and just bought a new 2020 mango Dodge Charger scat pack with factory dual carbon cider stripes going down the middle. Iv had it for 5 months now live in Ohio so I just put it away for the winter, but iv done every single mod to the car that u have listed besides the tinting the tailings and I want to do that. I will say that I was very disappointed with the ceramic coat. I paid 1,200 for my coating and he said oh ya it will last 2-5 years. The pros of the coating was not much, looked shiny and nice for about 1 month. Also was good for if it rained water just beats right off, but I don’t see it lasted no 5 years and I even had wash my car so the ceramic doesn’t wear off as quickly. I feel like I paided way to much for coating and I will just stick to my f11 wax that cost $100 and put it on again when needed. Great video and hope this feedback was a little of help to people

Never heard of the ceramic coating before, that's a great tip. I've been going with Zaino products but I think for my next car I'll try the ceramic option when it's new.

I love my chrome, I want more chrome. I'm not a sheep that is too afraid to admit I like something because it's "out". For me the biggest lacking element in these new(ish) chargers and challengers is chrome, chrome to me exemplifies an era of muscle cars and style. My point is, it's your car, make it look the way you want it to and don't give a damn what other people think. I don't like the shaved door handles, no chrome, blacked out look but I won't go around telling people it's ugly, it's just not my taste. I want a chrome grille, chrome badges, chrome trim and chrome bumpers, it makes me smile. Oh and 60s style chromed steel drag wheels....... yeah those are so freaking cool. I have never liked the whole low profile tire thing, I like nice meaty tires that look ready to rip a quarter mile. It all takes me back to working on muscle cars with my dad on weekends growing up. Do what makes you grin from ear to ear and enjoy your ride.
I love what you said. He talked about these cars being meant to look like early '70s era cars so they should have retro plates. Well, '70s era had lots of chrome too and chrome will always be cool. Like you said, it's your car so make it yours. I'm a leader not a follower. I do what I like. I couldn't care less what is "in style." Sounds like you do the same. I wish I could see your car. From the sounds of it I would like it.
these are not old school musclecars but i do agree with the love of chrome on older musclecars.its classy.too low profile a tire is also as ugly as 22" rims which is truly god awful but to each thier own,i guess.not everyone has good taste.
If I have my 67 Mercury Cougar, I say chrome and big wheels all day! If I have my modern muscle, the old school rims don't look right on them, they look out of place. The sleekness of the "blacked out" is what is "in" today. Do what makes you happy, but he does have a point that Chrome has its place, just not necessarily with modern cars.
@@markb3079 I agree with you about the rim's but more for function than looks. The new low profile tires grip the road better in curves due to less sidewall flex. That being said, I also agree with you to do what you like with your car. As Americans our love affair with cars demand we make them an extension of ourselves and we are all different

I just use zip ties for my front license plate, saves me a lot of trouble in Texas

Definitely not although...I bought a yellow and black Dodge Challenger RT+P two weeks ago and it gets incredible gas mileage. When I picked mine up it was roughly 60 miles from my home. The dealership filled it up to the brim with 91 octane. I kept MDS on (runs on only 4 cylinders) and I'm not kidding you, my tank was still full when I got home 60 some odd miles later. Bumper to bumper traffic for 25 of those miles and it was getting 26-27mpg no joke.
I actually thought my gas guage was broken and I pulled into a local fuel station near my home because I thought my guage was broken. I told the teller 50 bucks and started pumping 93 octane. I got to 1.28 before it refused to take anymore fuel. It actually spilled out of the tank causing me to wipe her down clean very quickly. Later that day I turned on Sport Mode and within 20 minutes of driving like a jackass I burned through a quarter of gas. Relief and disbelief all at the same time. Meanwhile my 2012 SS Camaro that my father was following me in was at a half of a tank by the time we got home. Yes, my SS is faster but the difference was...I still can't believe it.
I love my sxt plus! I had my heart set on the RT but just as u said it wasn't practical for daily driven car. So the sxt plus it was an it still has balls tho. I am happy with my decision.
I also bought an SXT bc I was unsure...I now drive a hellcat all it did was fuel my love for these cars...Don't waste your time spend the money get the upgraded version you won't regret it

Saving for a down payment on a 16 or 17 charger, I'm only 18 but I'll have it in about a month but damn are they beautiful
Remember to note that every $1,000 dollars you put down is only about $20 off the monthly payment. Sometimes it’s worth it to just pay another 20 on the monthly than waste thousands of your hard earned money up front. GAP insurance from the dealer is crucial, just buy it and save the headache 💪🏼anything else other than GAP insurance is unnecessary. Try for the lowest interest rate possible with a payment that still fits your budget of course all based off your credit. Most loans average at 5-6 or even 7 years but never more than that. Good luck on your purchase! - former salesman experience

YES!!!!!!!! My son in-law has one! Everytime we visit, he's thrown another weird mod at it. 🙄 I give him shit about it 24/7 when we're there; like giving my grandson story problems that always totals the number of horsepower his Nana's car has. 😜🤪
