Great video and useful for '07S60 too. Two notes: It was easier just to remove the parking brake boot than wedging it in the slot (lost about 20 minutes trying that approach). Our car also has an auxiliary audio jack and the cable for that was tucked between the storage bin and side of the console. It was easiest to remove the black panel beneath the 12v aux to get access to the plugs.

Big help. Thank you for posting.
Just got it out. Buddy of mine lifted the arm rest too high and broke the plastic hinge. Great instructional video. Thank you very much.

What is this interior color? Is it charcoal or graphite?
Need 2.replacement. Where in n.j?
That V70 needs a new rad. Film a video when you change it. Thanks!
I'm having trouble removing the console body.
I removed the 4x T25 screws and both bottom side panels, the 12v connectors and everything related to the shifter.
It's free in the back but not in the front.
At 2:15 the front is still touching the dash but at 2:33 it has moved and is free.
On my part, it is still attached solidly. I haven't dare to pull hard on it for fear of breaking something.
I was just watching this video again to make sure.
There doesn't seem to be anything still holding it....
So I'm going to go and try to pull hard on it...
Some models (e.g. XC70) have a silver rail on the right hand side of the console. If yours has it, there is another T25 screw in front of it, just to the right of the shifter.
Its not a E-brake it's hand-brake !!! Nevertheless good video
+tagis foreveryoung Thanks for the feedback!
There's something wrong with your handbrake, last time I had it go so high I had no fluid on the brake line..
