Hi, I used to cut my star knobs out that way, but I have a 3D printer now and do then out of plastic and they are nicer like that.

I do 3d print mine as well but ran out of filament and needed some, so.... made a video on it 😅

Another great jig Tomasz, thanks for taking the time and effort to share stuff like this with us all 👍
A few suggestions if you don't mind ...
    1) The smaller top piece of MDF doesn't support the workpiece at all so is not required!
    2) The whole jig could be shrunk down to a square ... a hole in the centre acting as the centre hole for all sizes of knob blank to be cut ... then three holes around it at the appropriate distance for each of the knob sizes, which is where the knob is then mounted to cut the scallops😀

Could do. The smaller piece of mdf at the top act as a fence so the wood is not spinning as you cut the first full circle. And my initial thought was to make another hole in the top and create a stopper, or guide for the second stage of cutting the final shape. But the wing nut was holding the circle so well I decided there was no need for anything else and marks can be made on that top piece and then transfered to the circle to make sure the cuts are spread apart equally. That was thinking behind it.

@@CasualDIY Gotcha, wasn't criticising in any way 😀 and it's good to know what your thinking behind the jig was ... as I've said before, it's easy to improve on what others have done but they had the initial idea 👍

@@barry.w.christie Not taken as criticism, its all about improving and making things better. Your comments may help someone to make this better, easier or fit their needs. Always happy to receive feedback, it helps me and others. I tend to make "a starting point", then people can amend to their liking 😄👍
Thank you for commenting and watching Barry👍

A neat jig Thomasz. Have to admit I 3D print m,y star knobs now, but for wooden knobs this is very useful
