- There's more to racing in the rain than just driving slower! Take a moment to learn how the line fundamentally changes, and you'll be sure to take like a duck to water.

#iracing #simracing - Hry
gonna go try this on public roads rhanks
Instructions unclear, car totaled 😭
Great job on the video! It was a SHORT & CONCISE explanation of "wet weather racing". THANKS!
Thanks dude, cheers for watching and commenting!
@@dannyleeracing 👍
Your wet line at 1:17 looks like my ideal racing line lol. Nico Rosberg said the same thing in his SPA wet track breakdown, you want to offset the car from the ideal line. Thanks for the video
Lmfao 😂
This is one of those channels that deserve way more subs than they have. Yet another great video, full of useful info, not too long, great visual representation, great narration. I'm very selective of channels i sub to, but this one is just too good. Keep up the great work!
3:18 Oh wow I didn't even think about the pit exit line! Good shout.
Awesome video! First time racing in the rain on a rental gokart i got absolutely destroyed by a guy who was doing wet lines. The differences in grip can be really massive.
Wooo just finished my first rain race, 3 laps of the nurb, came in 4th, only a few partial lap attempts prior
Danny to the rescue, as always. Thanks!
I love the rain racing because I always sucked at the fast perfect racing line. So now I have to drive off the perfect line and slower. Which works great to bring the skill gap down.
Great video. Very well explained. Thanks!
Thank you
Dont try that line in a car without ABS like the LMP2, you will just crash on every single braking point as you will lock the tires. In those cars the braking has to be done next to the racing line as well
A damn good point
yeah, and the accelerating while crossing the dry line is also very scary without TC, gotta be gentle
really great video man, one question tho if you have to overtake would you risk cutting the corner and go through the dry racing line??
Surprised to see Daytona Tamworth! I've done some horrendously wet (and hail) races there.
It's pretty local to me!
TK said to drive it like a triangle
Very interesting video. What sort of PC specs do you have, and have you noticed the increased strain on certain components??
I have a Ryzen 7 5900X and a RTX 3080 on a 34" ultrawide - Rain hasn't had any impact for me!
Are you adjusting your brake bias for rain? (Higher or lower?)
Nurburgring is pretty good... other tracks kinda suck.
Does iRacing actually simulate lower grip on painted surfaces?
Yes
Oh, believe me
Don't you brake? Where is the left leg?
I cant brake with Calillac GTP
Apparently the Cadillac is an absolute killer
Also, don't brake on the racing line. Unless you enjoy locking the fronts immediately and sliding to your doom.
Super good point, I can't believe I forgot to emphasise this. On some track states, the racing line is simply an ice rink including under braking, so thanks for commenting this
