Why aren't you using a test light or a headlight to load circuit. An 8 gauge wire down to 1 green strand will show voltage, but once you load it, it will go to zero.

Back probing( if the connection was present of course) In most instances, the load itself will show improper voltage if there was a high resistance in the ckt. In this case, when I unplugged the connection, and found the terminals not there pushed back) that was conclusive ,, I think my next step was going to be load testing if I didn't find the proat that point.

Great catch, Brian! I am surprised that the plastic lock tabs in the connector body weren’t broken when the pins pulled out. Hopefully the shop did the right thing and replaced the connector or harness.
