Great job! Thanks for all the videos!
Thanks for watching
Goodt stuff man... Thank you for dissecting the diagrams always to help understand what u doing
Thanks Waddah.and thank you for taking your time to watch this video
Your videos are A1. Thanks man.
I had the EXACT same set of issues with my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit (Diesel)
Dealership had no clue since the codes came and went
Ended up just going through and replacing the power steering pump like in the video with a remanufactured one from AutoZone and it fixed everything!
Saved me THOUSANDS of dollars
Thank you so much!!
This is the channel I have been looking for ❤😊
Thank you for leading the way and teaching. Much respect from the old dude aka Bodygaurd..
Thanks Dee. Appreciate it taking the time to watch
Good job on the diagnosis
This exact, exact thing happen to me! All the same things but it caused my trans to stop shifting. Did the same thing with my buddy’s altel to find the issues after disconnecting all the units it’s abs, shifter, and then finally the pump we found it
Great diag Oz - super cool seeing the network waveform mess up!
Appreciate it. This one was a fun one for sure
Man, dealers are out of control!! “Just replace everything “ seems to be their answer. Really sad. Peace
They can’t figure out anything anymore…
Scope really helped diagnose this problem.plus a little bit of diag process
@@OzMechanics Are the dealers shop not trained to “diagnose with a scope” like you do? This is why I LOVE your channel. Plus you got the job and I’m sure, a new customer. Experience and knowledge pays off. Congrats. I’m in Pearland but don’t have a scope. If I need someone for CAN issues or other things that need a scope, I’m definitely gonna come to you. Peace
@@steveedwards1072 some journeyman techs usually are, but they don’t always get the car. Most of the time it goes to a lower level tech who just throws parts at it
Another excellent video showing diagnostic process.
Thanks Francisco. Going to vision ?
It's not looking like it as of now, I'll try and see if I can pulled it off in next two days.
As Bernie Thompson teaches scope ground always on negative battery terminal 🙏
well that was a crazy one. thanks for sharing.
Great video. Exact same problem I’m having. When replacing the power steering pump did you have to reprogram?
Excellent diagnosis and repair, Oz. It's so sad this is the state of todays dealers, they ran off all the seasoned techs for low cost newbes, dealer save money in service department but loose all the smart customers. Reason for new car warranties getting longer, to make up for loss of customer base.
Amazing diagnosis talent
Was this plug and play or did you need to clear codes or "program" the pump for the canbus?
One person who enjoys doing his job. Thanks Sir,great teaching. I enjoyed the most when yu say woow hahahaha😂😂.......then I know, mystery solved
good job , great video
Thanks for stopping by Robert. Hope you enjoyed the video
Thanks for you vidéo 👍
Thanks for watching
Nice video! I wish you had measured pin 6 and 14 at the dlc but I’d imagine it’ll be 60 ohms? Thanks for sharing oz
Not sure if it would show any difference. As you say can would work at some times and go bad at others. Need to try it out next time
Thought electric power steering had no pump or fluid. Great video 👍 👍
Some don’t have fluid. But dodge came out with the electric power steering motor. Think Chrysler 300 were the first
Great diag sir.cheers
Thanks Suhail. Glad you enjoyed the video
Good job
Awesome 👏
CAN HACKER MAY BE useful in this case, 👍 good job
@8:20 you tested can high and low and later power and ground to the motor. although you may have we didnt see you test the ign red wire on the 3 wire plug. would you please input? no doubt the right call. thanx for the video!!!
Thought I pushed play on phone when I went to edit was not there
@@OzMechanics lol I understand! just curious and wonder how many others caught that !
Will a leaking rack and pinion cause that connector to get soaked?
Your excitement when you found the issue!
Great job!
You only charged $3500?! LoL 😆😆
Noooo. $6,995 jk jk
@@OzMechanics LoL 😂😆
Do you have to program the pump? Or just plug and play?
How did you flush the power steering fluid?
Yeah, OZ 👍
Hope you enjoy
I'm about to swap my electric-hydraullic power steering in my 2012 charger to hydraulic , but I want to know how to cancelthr sensor
hi OZ were do you get the test light you used on yhis video thanks

Must one of those Florida flood cars
Close enough. This is a Texas vehicle 🚗
I would have immediately gone for grounds because, well, Chrysler. That would have been wasted effort in those case though 😂
Yea, this one was a fun one the dealership wanted to replace the abs, p/s and another module
My Jeep has some crazy issues. The car drives fine, no engine, shifting, or steering issues. However, my sat nav used to say I was in Moscow, now with the engine running it just goes blank, no heated seats, no ac, no radio, no bluetooth, windows dont open, mirrors dont fold, nothing. Turn the engine off, I can open the windows, fold the mirrors, uconnect lights up ( still says im in Moscow, I'm in the UK). No heated seats, no working ac, or fans, demisters etc. I start the engine uconnect goes blank, windows and mirrors don't work, dashboard shows airbag light staying on, blind spot alert not working/disabled, alarm goes off randomly. Ive fitted a new tipms and had the battery tested, it is fine. Any ideas gratefully received
Excellent job how much was the module part cost $$??
I forgot. Think it was around 700-800
@@OzMechanics oh thanks got my subscription 👊🏻👍🏻

Man let me tell you I’ve had my 2014 grand Cherokee for around 2 years nothing but electric probables only way I can get my car too start is too bang on the passenger side middle consel because either wise the keys won’t work tsm not responding car completely dead…. And half the time when I’m driving the car literally shifts into neutral and my entire dash lights up and wind wipers go on and service shifter can’t shift into drive car julting then as I bang on that spot everthing goes back too normal shops can’t tell me what the deal is
Where is your shop located?
Im in the houston area
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Good job trouble shooting. Bet your repair was much less than $7,000 🙂
A lot less. We also ended changing the oil cooler while we were at it
👍
