Fun fact: Some British Tankers would ask for the teabags and share since all british tanks have kettles in them, they'd put a couple, maybe 3 teabags in the kettle and share it among the troops
I want to know who got kettles put in them and the reasoning behind it. i imagine it's a pretty funny part of history

When I used to go wildland firefighting, I would get excited to get Tabasco in my MRE. Great with chili mac or beef stew. Even traded one for a pack of marlboros

TCRH lived in the Soviet Union (Ukraine SSR. The Soviet Union is well known for its food shortages. In a video TCRH said his family was poor. He said he had 3 brothers, 2 sisters, 1 half brother, and 1 half sister. With such a big family he probably learned to cram his mouth full and eat fast or leave the table hungry.

British MRE's are actually boil in the bag so you can put them in a pan of boiling water to heat it up then use the water for something else like cooking more food or making a hot drink.
This stuff is made purely for sustainance over enjoyment but I really wanna eat one...

That is a great looking MRE, very nice. The older US MRE's used to have those little Tabasco bottles in them, the ones from the 90's.
Little tip for you I served 11 years in the British army and all the foods you cooked are all boil in the bag
