Fun fact , in Afghanistan, American soldiers used to trade 5 American MREs for only one French MRE because the French MRE has such a great reputation

As a french guy that had these rations at home, they're better than some people's home cooking !
Yeah that's good and everything about them trading their food but I just want to say you are incredibly lucky to be able to eat all the MR e's that you want.
French here : i'm litterally shocked by the good stuff our military have ! Product here are just typically French ! The beans with the sausage are cooked in duck fat that's why this is good. The candy you love is a fruit paste with a lot of sugar. And the tuna thing is used by the civilian to make sandwich also. Very good stuff
You should go camping for a night with only the 24 hour MRE,water,spoon,and your camping gadget,like if you agree

I love his descriptive nature, willingness,and open palate to various foods. Above all is how he gratefully accepts all the food and eats them while praising their unique flavors and textures!
I am French, and it seems that our military rations are very good, and that during a conflict, some, like American soldiers, gladly exchange their ration for that of the French.
Otherwise what you eat for dessert and that you love, seems to be fruit paste, and in the small box it seems to be dried prunes (very good for transit, I recommend them if one day you are constipated)

I have to say the stove and holder design is very thoughtful.
I get as excited as you to see what’s in there. It brings back memories, my best friend in high school his uncle was United States Army and he had four boxes of meals ready to eat so we got to sit and eat every single one of the meals whenever we were hungry. Good times.
