It also created a sudden jolt in the engine causing the chain tensioner n the timing chain to loosen up in a few milliseconds. When it finally decided to continue its revolutions the timing chain wa pulled over the teeth of the cam shafts resulting in bent valves and six of seven cracked cam shaft bearings. Had to change the cylinder head and timing chain and tensioner to sort it. So change your serpentine belt regularly folks

Ah ok. I’m just doing mine, circuit board out and hunting for the soldering iron. Did the cradle out in ten mins.
I anticipated that the phone would connect straight to the aux input but yours seems to be connected to the lighter socket. What do you have in that socket?
Great vids by the way, really useful.

If I remember right you select aux on the head unit then the volume knob adjusts the output level. Sorry it's been a while 🤔 A sliding 5 bar graphic should appear.

the reason why the aux input has no juice is not really explained in the video - the reason is, anything going over aux is NOT passed through the DSP in the car, at all.

I have the big stereo HiFi System Professional with the DSP Logic7 amplifier and quite a number of speakers and subwoofer. My car is from 2007 but I do not experience the flat sound when using the Aux In. Maybe it's because the speakers in this setup can take quite a bit of beating so they didn't have to use the resistors.
