  • WWW.ROSKINC.COM to purchase aux cable and coding cable.
filmed a video on how to code in AUX in the Idrive for the E60 5 series BMW (should apply to most BMW coding on other series). step by step on using NCS expert to add +NAUX to the VO vehicle order and mounting the AUX to the CCC (or m.ask) module. coding necessary for auxiliary cable to function.
Revtor's NCS Expert Profile is the profile i used to code the module. profile can be downloaded by searching Google.
BMW coding cable can be purchased on eBay, and usually comes with all the necessary programs to install on your computer.
please like the video if it was helpful to you and post suggestions for other videos you would like to see me do a DIY on. email me at roskincdavid@gmail.com for interest in a AUX cable for yourself.
some of the names i couldn't pronounce when changing jobs:
    CODIERDATEN_LESEN (when reading the module)
    SG_CODIEREN (when writting module)
    when editing change:
    AUX_CONFIG
    not_mounted
    to:
    AUX_CONFIG
    mounted

I ordered your cable, installed it in the glove box no problem thanks to your other video showing the install. I'm using a newer version of ncsexpert, so it was slightly different. Like revtor's profile wasn't valid. so I used the factory settings profile for all my coding. It worked like a charm. Thanks for the great video!

Thanks, Great help. Just did this and followed ur instructions. The only difference was in in my .trc-file it didn’t say “auxconfig not_mounted”, but rather “auxin not_active”. I also installed the sports button and boy, even though my ride was already a sports package, I now have a torque i didn't realize the car had before. Also cool to see the sports light. My next project is to code the following: Digital speedometer in cluster & close mirrors and windows via key FOB.

Best DIY I've seen. Bought the aux cable from him. The hardware installation was a breeze thanks to your help. I did have to use one size higher when drilling the hole for the cable. The hard part was coding the car. If you have a 32 bit windows xp I'm sure it is easy but all I had to work with was 64 bit win 8. Getting the software to work was the hardest thing. Took me 2 days to finally have it up and running. But once I did it was a piece of cake. Unfortunately my cars' battery died due to the programming and as of right now I am unable to go and buy a aux cable to test it out. But super easy except for the coding, but once you have the software working it works, thanks for your help. Oh thanks to one of the comments down below. My cars code was in German and instead of "not_" it was "nicht_". My spelling might be off but yea. THANKS

any idea as to why the audio volume going through the aux in is about; i'd say; 20% lower compared to other sources like FM or CD ? i've looked around and it seems like a common issue
now, someone mentioned that the aux cable has capacitors and resistors that might degrade the sound quality but I know this is not the case because I bought such cable from you
it is just lower input volume (yes, my phone has its volume all the way up) that seems to be "restricted" by the car's computer ...
any ideas on why this happens and how to fix it ?
    huge thanks

Great video! quick question I have aux now and I can access it in idrive with the idrive wheel but it is not selectable from the steering wheel buttons. When using the steering wheel button it skips aux and goes from CD back around to FM. (FM, AM, CD, AUX).

I want to purchase a BMW diagnostic cable with its software and I was wondering if this cable will include the NCS Expert profile. Is there a universal cable for coding and diagnostic work on BMW models and year?
    Help!!
    Thanks

I have an 08 R56. If i send you the CAS and switch can you make a remote work? The valet key opens the doors so we are good on that.
