  • Eating fewer AGEs will likely improve your health.
    What are advanced glycation end-products (AGEs)? Dr. Hana Kahleova details the harmful inflammatory compounds, how they are created, which foods have the most, and the diseases they can cause when she joins The Exam Room Podcast and “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll.
    Dr. Kahleova is the lead researcher of a study examining the effects of reducing the amount of AGEs in a person’s diet. The results could be seen within just a matter of weeks.

    I can attest to this. I’ve been on a plant based diet, oil free since September of 2022. I went from 209 to 179 lbs today and blood pressure dropped from the 155/80 range to 106/50 range. Also, my back pain, plantar fasciitis and pms pain all went away. Recently during the holidays, I allowed myself to “cheat” and in a couple of weeks my weight went from 180 to 186 and I was limping from plantar fasciitis pain, pms pain and back pain and my blood pressure climbed to the 130/70 range. This happened in just 2 weeks, from consuming animal based products and oil. For the past 2 weeks I’ve been back on my plant based diet and I’m back to no pain and great blood pressure.

    I didn't understand the low-fat part. If dry heat increases AGEs, why control the participants' control fat content? Also, could I be good with (plant-based) fat as long as I didn't heat it up? I cook at low temperatures or eat lots of raw salad with expeller-pressed oils.

      Peanuts and nuts have much more AGE's than apples and bananas.
      All fats and proteins (including plant sources) have lots of AGE's but still at least 10 times fewer than animal food with fats and proteins.
      Poly and mono fats have fewer AGE's than sat fats.

      Among what you list, the added oils in your diet are the only thing left to worry about. Since you don't heat them, you're doing reasonably well even there. You probably get a lot of antioxidants in your diet as well, which compensates for any AGE's you still consume. It doesn't sound like eliminating AGE's altogether is realistic. Nuts, for instance, are a health food - when consumed in moderation.

Support groups sprang up but quickly disbanded when each member accused all the other members of lying about their teeth just so they could feel important.

    It is not really the sugar and not so much the fat. It's the p-r-o-t-e-i-n. High protein consumption is most responsible for the AGE formation- it is even obvious in the graphs you show at 8:00! AGEs are formed via the hexosamine pathway where secreted proteins are targeted by glycosylation. What is more, candida also deaminates amino acids and uses them in its metabolism, releasing the extremely toxic ammonia and changing its morphology from spores to hyphae. All sorts of bacterial amines, amides etc nitrogenous compounds are harmful to the body. Just limit your protein consumption , folks . That is something Dr T. Colin Campbell and Dr V. Longo have been telling you for ages. And go plant-based as much as possible! 🙂

      @@natural_law_nutrition I would love to get some feedback from you on this: I've been thinking about trying to go "raw" vegan, but hesitate as my main sources of protein are cooked beans and processed grains. Do you have advice on specifically what to eat to get adequate protein, or which grains and legumes may be eaten raw?

    • @natural_law_nutrition
      @natural_law_nutrition Před rokem +1

      @@mathieuguillet4036 i look at examples in nature when it comes to protein. My initial feeling and my research over the years came to same viewpoint that i hold today. The mainstream teachings of protein seem to be a myth. You dont need big amounts of protein, even when building or maintaining muscle. Gorillas or hippos f.e. grow and maintain muscle without eating cooked food. There is a video on youtube that talks about early serious raw vegan bodybuilders in the 90'd. They took in around 70 to 80 g of protein on average. The main source of calories are fruits (for apes f.e.) and on the higher side of protein: greens (like young, tender leafs, sprouts etc.). So i am 6 foot 1 and my main calories i get from fruit. If i feel the need for a bit more protein, i juice green celery or drink other green drinks/ even green prouder formulas. Or i eat a bit more salad (no big amounts by any means) with my avocado, olives and pinenuts to hit my caloriegoal. But most important thing is, dont drive yourself crazy about protein. Many people will tell you different in our mondern age and time, because they jump on the train of propaganda that ultimately the big protein industries started (meat, milk, eggs, grain industry etc.). And remember all the protein content has to be filtered by you filtering system, kidneys and lymphsystem. I advice you to go on the channel of dr. robert morse md, he speaks about the healing forces of our natural diet and the burden that a lot of protein creates on our body.
      If you still want to rely on legumes, i would suggest to sprout the small legumes, like green or brown lentils. The bigger the legume gets, the harder it becomes to digest, is what ive feel. And of course there are legumes like kidneybeans you shouldnt sprout under any circumstances, because they have to many toxic compounds in them. And for grains, i only sprout buckwheat from time to time. I even make my own sprouted wraps out of them. Much better to digest (even when 'baked' for a short time in a pan) then regular bread. There is a german raw vegan athlete, his main source of calories is sprouted buckwheat. But best is still your natural diet in my opinion, which is mainly fruits, easy to digest vegetables, few greens here and there and few nuts and seeds if you like :)
