To the sister who sent the dilemma: don’t allow the commitment that you have already made to your boyfriend to block you from seeing the possibility that this just maybe is not your forever partner. There is a reason you are having doubts, in my opinion, true love should never feel fake/ forced. 21 is soooo young and you have so much more to experience (both alone and in relationships. I’m definitely not saying your boyfriend is not meant to be your husband ( seeing that you’ve prayed and fasted and asked God) but as I said, allow yourself the possibility to think that maybe he might just not be 🤷🏾♀️. ❤️
To the sister with the dilemma x I think one thing that could help you is to go back to 1 Corinthians 13 where God defines love. The Bible does not define love as a feeling but a set of actions. Sometimes we focus so much on the feeling of being "in love" but the Bible says our feelings (and our hearts) are fickle. Love is ultimately a commitment that you make daily; choosing to be patient, kind, etc. Maybe re-centering the actions and commitment over your feelings would help xx
The first question regarding how to repair a relationship with your parent. The ladies said the exact same that my therapist said. Indeed, you need to consider if the parent is open to resolution. If not, loving from a distance is the best action to take as the emotional intelligence is not there despite their big age. And that's okay. I have a narcissistic parent (I didn't know until my therapist disclosed that to me) and the best thing I've been doing to maintain a decent relationship is to love from a distance, call sometimes to check in and go to therapy to deal the effects it has been having on me. So yeah, sometimes, when they are not open to a resolution, the best is to let go, as you may never have it and that's okay. And it's not your fault.
I really really love my mom. We are literal best friends ! I struggle to always understand when people have a difficult relationship with their mom but as I've become an adult, I can definitely see how that relationship can be difficult .
The mother-daughter dynamic is not an easy one, especially with an older brother for me.
It is as though I have to throw a tantrum in order to get her attention beca everything is about my brother. I’m still in school and he is working. So the breadwinner dynamic comes in to play. OMG I cannot!

Yea I’ve done a dermaplane facial and that has done wonders for me. I’m also going to try a chemical peel. Tip for darker skin: do not go past a medium peel or you’ll risk getting more hyperpigmentation or burning. I’m going to opt for a series of superficial ones. Dr. Alexis Stephens has great videos on which chemical peels to get
