I really dislike listening to poly relationships that start with cheating. It sheds such a bad light on the whole ethical nonmonogamy community in this light where if a woman wants it it’s only after her bf cheated. It’s cool that they came to a place that they’re happy I just hate this is the only story we hear.

I been through this before, my Ex proposed to me, shortly after ditched me on Christmas and then I found out about the “other woman” I said okay, I lost my feelings of love for him, but was going and winging it you know. I told him I wasn’t ready for the engagement so I had already said no. Met the gal, we tried polyamory, and guess what me and her ended up leaving him and being in a relationship 🤣 and I actually LOVED her. Till I went on her computer and seen videos with time stamps of her cheating on me TWICE! With two different dudes. Moral of the story some people just can’t be faithful. Polyamory or not some are just never fulfilled with just one ☝️

It's about having a solid Foundation of Honesty and Open Communication which alot of relationships lack. I experienced a similar situation as you. I was brought in as a girlfriend to a married couple by the wife they were 18yrs together married 13yrs. Alot of shit was Exposed about the marriage in the dating process between the both of them (Dishonesty)He ended up leaving the relationship and Divorcing her and we been together almost two years now. Man shit was Crazy doe!

I had an associate that participated in a 3 way relationship. Both still got cheated on. Polygamists women still get cheated on. He left them and married a different woman, who wouldn't share him. Do what works for you as well. Dont just do something to appease just your partner. Make sure you are happy as well.

Listen! I don't have anything against polygamy. I think if a healthy, secure relationship where two people BOTH agree to enter into that lifestyle and be completely mutual with that is totally fine. But I feel like their polygamy "solution" stemmed from lies, hurt and cheating.. As she said.. it was a solution. Basically a solution to save her marriage with her cheating husband. She most definitely didn't want that in the beginning. She was hurt and upset so there was never a polygamy agreement in her relationship, she created it as the only way to keep her man. She said it herself... Because she spent 19 years with this man she felt invested of course but she said if she finds someone else she thinks he's gonna do the same thing so what's the point? That's sad... It sounds like to me she's afraid to find someone else because she thinks he's gonna do the same thing.. cheat. And to even think that seems to me she really WANTS something else, she just don't think she's ever gonna get it. She thinks every man is gonna cheat smh. You deserve what YOU want out of life. What YOU TRULY want. I hope that this what SHE TRULY wants and not something she forced herself into doing to keep her man. If it is what she truly wants then I wish them the best.

I agree with everything you said. I was thinking along the same lines. This lifestyle is not her choice, she made it choice after she spoke with him and he kept saying "positive things " about the 2nd meaning he wasn't going to stop seeing her so the wife made the decision to not fight it and just include her. Also, the 2nd girk kept saying " who am i" giving the impression that she couldn't say no because the offer was too good to turn down. I felt a little uncomfortable when she said the wife is ok with it so who am i to said no. Another thing notice the wife is the one who told her to move in full time , the wife made the decision to change include her in the beginning.
Im indifferent. You can see the attraction the women have. I believe they are all happy in this situation and it wasn't forced. and you shouldn't. i went thru this same exact scenario with someone and she came in proud and was ready to let me know that either way it goes she will never stop seeing him and they both had the brilliant idea to try this practice. so i changed the dynamic and said first off ive been committed to this person for almost 6 years with a kid and no ring so what would i benefit? nothing. so needless to say the ring came and since that day she has turned out to be one of the most evil people i have ever met and is still after 2 years to this day trying to make me hurt with social media dragging of how she was with him. she's upset about the marriage but i realized that me as a wife was only settling thinking i could not do or get better. and definitely was blind with trying to keep my daughter happy and keeping my family together. these men out here are turning this whole dynamic into a sexualized joke. most don't even make enough to support the whole family and the females find a sense of common ground with girl time and talks about other men cause we damn sure not gonna sit around and talk about the husband all day. just beware ladies and never settle for anyone coming in that felt it no harm to sleep around with your man for a long period of time. when things go left EVERYTHING will be revealed and she will NOT LET UP. I respect everyone's way of living. Not everyone is built for this lifestyle, but I would say open communication is key. You can find honesty and oneness in a Monogamous relationship. Everyone doesn't lie and cheat. But you have to seek out that true bond that will allow you to grow with a person as 1. That way they no longer feel separate from you to betray you. It would almost be like they are betraying themselves. We have to remember no one way of living is perfect or "right". So do what you feel in your heart works for you!

The conversation begins with, "Husband, have you considered (name), she is (then you describe the character of the woman, how she will be of value to the unit, and if he will consider her as a wife). You cannot go to a club, come home and say, "hey wife, I GOT married," or, "hey honey, I was at a club, and found another wife." POLYGAMY is initiated by the woman. Great book to read is FACING MOUNT KENYA, the gikuyu people. POLYGAMY must have THE LAW AS A FOUNDATION, OR THIS BECOMES WICKED!!!!!

There's a disconnect. When you partner isn't feeling fulfilled, they are suppose to let you know that & yal figure out a way to get things back in order. Because something was working at the beginning of the relationship which is why yal made it this far. When ur partner sneakily goes and has sex with another person & you have no knowledge of it, the trust is broken. I don't feel she's smart because of the way she started the polygamy. It was more like "lets keep the family together & bring in another woman. Babe would you be cool with that? Would you be satisfied with only having this one other woman?" All after the fact when trust was broken.
